The poor receptionist kept transferring me to the tool rental dept and they kept putting me on on dead air hold… after about the 7^th time –NO EXAGGERATION– he picks up the phone and says he cannot help me. After i was told by two different people that he could. Please get better service!

This store is by far my favorite. Has a variety of selection of home goods, to plant goods to woods. Cheap prices and is a big location.
The associates here are so helpful and friendly. I came in looking for a window squeegee and asked «David Cruz» for help, he was pulling this cart of stuff to put away I assume. He stopped what he was doing and helped me find the item. He took me to the kitchen bathroom dept. And we couldnt find it. What Cruz’s customer care apart from the others is that he did not say «sorry we couldnt find it». He said «I know we have it, lets go back here». We ended up FINDING it! And then he helped me with signing up for e-​receipt and etc. Overall, that is a very great experience with Home Depot’s customer care.

To Home Depot, Regarding the dog repellant, if I used most of it already, can I get a refund? It took most of the can to test it out.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the «paint experts» at this location.
I was repainting my room from a medium grey color to Behr’s Heavy Cream. I went in knowing that I would have to apply multiple coats in order to get full coverage. I asked for the associate’s advice and she strongly recommended the Behr’s Marquee Collection knowing what my project entailed. I took her advice and even purchased premium rollers to ensure the best coverage. I did not mind the extra costs if it meant I could finish my project more efficiently. The single gallon of paint from the Marquee Collection was twice as much as compared to a regular gallon of paint ($ 42.00) and the Wooster rollers recommended were also twice as much as regular rollers.
Alas one coat did not do the trick. I had to apply THREE coats of paint to my walls to get a full, even coverage. I used half the gallon on ONE wall of my relatively small bedroom. (I could’ve easily purchased two gallons of regular paint for the same cost. Then, I would’ve had enough paint to finish my project if I had known it would take three coats.)
Frustrated, I sent an email to Behr regarding their product. In reply, I was told that the color I chose, Heavy Cream, was NOT a part of the Marquee Color Collection which would have been under the «One Coat Hide Guarantee». This is a very specific and simple detail about the product that associates should’ve known about before advising the customers to shell out so much extra money. For obvious reasons. the paint was not returnable and I am stuck having to spend even more money to finish my project.
I would never come back to home depot for my painting needs! Save yourself the hassle and money and just go to Dunn Edwards or Sherwin Williams down the street — they’re actual paint experts and know what they’re talking about.

Considering the amount of times coming to this particular Home Depot, I thought I’d give it a much better review. Don’t get me wrong, not all of my visits have been a two star rating. However, my last visit really put a bad taste in my mouth in ever wanting to return to this specific location.
It was pretty late on a Wednesday night, a customer was being assisted with a gallon of paint. There was no need to go through the swatches because I already knew exactly what I needed. The employee not once greeted us nor acknowledged us. About fifteen minutes passed and another employee aproaches us and says, «do you need any help?» My husband replies, «yes». The employee just walked away, and goes back to restocking gallons of paint on the wall. Are you serious?! Why bother asking us if we need help, only to walk away from us?! We waited another ten minutes, but nothing! I was so disappointed that something that should’ve been so quick and simple, turned out to be a total waste of time! Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this Home Depot ever again, I’d rather make the longer trip to another.

Seriously the worst costumer service I’ve ever received with a Home Depot store in the 10 years I have of buying products from them. I bought a dish washer that was an open box for a remodel house– did not install it until 2 months later, the dishwasher operates but does not wash dishes well. They told me to call GE. They came and saw it, the computer did not read any parts were malfunctioning, but the technician saw that it in fact does not clean dishes well so he suggested we take it back to Home Depot because it is within the one year warrantee and the only thing he can do is repair it but his computer is not detecting anything to be repaired. So we paid somebody to uninstall it, took it back to Home Depot and now they are saying they can’t do anything about it that it is GE’s problem because it is over 90 days.
Thanks Home Depot! I just wasted a day of work and extra money of installation/​uninstallation fees, and have no dish washer. After thousands of dollars I have spent in the past 6 months for my home remodeling at this store. Terrible costumer service.

Excellent customer service. Helpful employees. Gloria was especially lovely and personable. It was like a kind family friends was helping me. Great prices, competent cashiers. Tons of supplies. Easy parking and a community feel.

Solid visit.
Needed a ¼″ x 1″ bolt, they had it.
Needed a #2 screwdriver, they had it.
More than I can say for some HD stops of late, but with no out-​of-​stock drama, my little project actually was over as quick as I’d hoped it would be. Hurrah.

Home Depot. Never again after this and reading up about this. This past weekend, I bought about $ 300 worth of items had to return one because it was obviously an open box from the way it was retaped, surely when I got home it was missing a few assessories. I even told the sales guy this box looks like it’s been open what if there something is missing, he said you can return it no problem. I have all receipts for everything, returned it the same day at the same store and was denied (I learned) because I have a $ 10 store credit that I use to purchase those items. One of the guys even mentioned that was it. I even have a receipt for the $ 10 item that I returned. So no one at Home Depot can help even a manager. I am currently dealing with TRE and waiting for a RAR (return activity report). From the looks of all google search about this, it looks that I am screwed. This policy is really idiotic! Scams are obvious and I get HD is trying to protect themselves. But even though I had receipts for everything (including the $ 10 credit), return the same day, same store it’s still flagged as fraudulent, over $ 10 credit I used to purchase these items. Just dumb and you will be «dumbmified» to shop here.

I’m usually very hesitant to go to Home Depot because i don’t know shit about anything there unless it’s something I need. I’m hesitant about it because other Home Depots I’ve gone to; none of the damn employees know what product I’m looking for and then send me to the wrong aisle. Also the other Home Depots rarely have any workers around to help so I’m always freaking LOST. Although I was hesitant to walk into this Home Depot, I needed to get new light fixtures for my bathroom and tools. Amazed at all the knowledgable employees there knowing which aisle to go to for what I want and always finding one helpful employee look for what I want and compare/​contrast the product that would fit for me in simplicity and finding a good affordable brand for me with life time warranty on the brand. I don’t think I’ll go to the Anaheim Home Depot anymore because I’m trying to get in and out of the store real freaking quick!

Busy story but very easy to get in and out. Plenty of parking and plentiful shopping cart. Staff are very friendly and always asking if you need help.

Picture this: three moderately attractive women wait for service in the PVC pipe aisle. After waiting about 20 minutes we were approached by a young man who offered to cut a pipe for us. This young man was not wearing a Home Depot uniform however he indicated that he worked in the air conditioning department. When we were checking out the cashier asked us who had helped us and we let her know that Jay did on his day off and that he normally worked in air-​conditioning. The cashier looked very confused by this statement and she went on to confirm that they did have an employee named Jay but that he had been dead for over 20 years. Now I know what you maybe thinking, clearly this Jay person simply lied to us about being a Home Depot employee but I think it’s pretty obvious what’s going on here… We were helped by a ghost.

whenever I come here, I feel like I walk into a club of people with full of hatred for their job. I mean not many people love their jobs, but at least do it like you mean it even though just for the living, and that will be not fair for me if you want to put those burdens on me — customer. I never got any help at all from this home depot. When I bought the paint for my place, the guy messed up my order and gave me wrong kind of paint and I ended up spending more to cover up. When it comes to light bulbs, tools, that is a total disaster when the employees pretend to know what they are doing and lead me to wrong section and gave me BS advice.
Even when I want to return some item, the customer service lady can’t be ruder. She used sign language with me most of time, didn’t even look at me when talking, and asked rude questions even though the packages were still sealed as new. I just come here because they’re closest, or else I will never want to come back.

7 years after my initial review, I’m still coming back and it’s still 5 stars.
Yeah yeah yeah, it’s not the best Home Depot and yeah it’s not the most organized or well stocked but man, when you run into an employee that is actually helpful, it makes you want to come back.
This Home Depot has a very high Helpful-​to-​Useless employee ratio (meaning there are more helpful employees here per head than in other HD locations I’ve been to).
This isn’t Lowe’s, mind you, so all of you who are coming in here looking for a 5 star butler or full service catering or designer patio furniture then writing 1 star reviews because you couldn’t find someone to wipe your ass, you need to rethink where you are.
Sure, there are plenty of Home Depots which are much better than this one, so I think maybe I just have good luck when I come in. Customer service has, for the most part, been good if not great. The staff I’ve spoken to regarding specific areas of improvement have been knowledgeable and have even gone out of their way to make sure my questions were answered and the inventory was checked.
I’m not a contractor so my review is based on the needs of someone who is decently equipped to take on DIY on a somewhat larger scale than plug and play.
The parking lot is a nightmare (people, not the lot itself).
The organization is pretty crap.
The inventory is usually low/​out.
But it’s still fun.

It was a complete mess as soon as i walked in. Nobody offered help, so when i finally asked for help the guy was completely rude. Employees dont acknowledge or greet customers. The garden cashier that rung up our stuff didnt say hi or anything only scanned out stuff and said the total. This place needs to learn what great customer service really is.

Being a contractor I go into a lot of Home Depot stores and have to say the Garden Grove store ranks the lowest of all Home Depot stores I’ve ever been too, If you don’t mind being treated like a worthless piece of cr*p by management and other employees, this is the store you definitely want to visit.
I remember it was nearing the end of Winter and all the heaters were removed from the shelves, I saw a pallet of propane heaters up on the rack and I thought I would ask if I could get a discount on one of them since they were clearing them out, I was told to ask «Mike» the store manager, Mike is a little guy with glasses, very arrogant and with a big time attitude, I kindly asked him if he could give me a break on one of these heaters since they were clearing them out, his response was a anger expression on his face followed by; «why should I?»
Then you have the line manager, a blond chick with tattoos from her neck down to her arms, looks like she came out of a bar at Sturgis, another one with a arrogant attitude. I actually think when they interview people they want a certain look, plenty of tattoos and piercings, I’ll be if you have a ring through your nose and have cocky attitude, your almost assured the position.
And if you think this shopping experience was limited to that, think again, Home Depot has been allowing outside vendors like Solar City to APPROACH it’s customers to try to sell their products, what Home Depot is earning from them I don’t know, but whatever profit they do make, it is at OUR EXPENSE, these sales people are nothing but irritants for most customers and home depot does NOT care if you are irritated, they don’t care about you PERIOD, they only care about MAKING MORE MONEY. It’s like the old saying, the bigger the company is the LESS they care and Home Depot fits that very well.
Also my truck was broken into at this location, perhaps that’s why they have a security guard now patrolling the parking lot… The area is as raunchy as the store, be careful because whatever happens to you at this store, management will NOT help you!, they once refused to review their security cameras when I got ripped off, said they don’t have the manpower, Once your purchase is made and they have your money, you are on your own!

I went in to home depot today with my baby looking for some specific hardware for his crib and for my broken bed. I was super confused and asked for help. Joe de la torre from the hardware dept. helped me. He went above and beyond to help me. I asked him to help me find screws and he did but also got all the other things I needed. He even cut some wood for me that I needed. He made what could have been a very confusing trip to HD, a super easy one. Thanks Joe!

People here are rude, especially the ones handle Internet order for in store pick up. Calling me at 8am in the morning and just say «we don’t have the items you ordered, we’ll cancel your orders». No offer for substitution or any kind of coupons to rectify their problem.

Home Depot is one of those standard stores that sets the bar for everyone else to follow. There’s not much that needs to be said about the products sold because that’s standard as well. Some people that stand out as being really good at their job would be Cathy from plumbing and Rick in gardening. Cathy is great because she is a wealth of knowledge. You can pick her brain and she knows exactly what you need to solve your plumbing needs. Rick is another treasure at this Home Depot. Any question you have about gardening, just head to Rick! I’d be really disappointed if the management started laying off all of their knowledgeable staff for cheaper newbees. I can tell because when I start heading down the isle that has a newbee they start running in the opposite direction. Sometimes I can really tell because it’s like turning on the lights in the kitchen and everyone scatters like roaches running to hide :-) ha ha ha…
No kidding…
