I had brunch here with my family on Friday. There was about 6 of us. 4 stars for food as it was very delicious. However, 3 stars for service. Our waitress was rude and had no customer service skills. It seemed as though she did not want to be there(I didn’t catch her name, but she was Hispanic) I will however acknowledge how kind Jessica was. Although she was not our server, she went out of her way to check up on us(which btw our actual server did not). Jessica was very kind and attentive. My family and I come here often I would say almost weekly because the food is so good. It would be nice to see all employees provide great customer service.

What a wonderful find! The chilaquiles made for an immensely wonderful breakfast! They are so good… the chips are soften by the delicious green sauce and the eggs and chicken really round everything out for a filling breakfast. I have had chilaquiles at other places and S&J has some of my favorites. They definitely have a diverse menu, and I can’t wait to try some of their specialty breakfast dishes! I also love that they have an espresso bar, so I can get my latte fix with my breakfast :)

Everything was amazing… Service was great. We are from out of town and I went to Unilocal to find us someplace to eat and I am very pleased with S & J Gran Café. I would most definitely recommend! I had the vanilla champurrado, Sandia Agua Fresca and the chillaquilles with Carne asada… Amazing by the way. And my husband had the chorizo burrito also delicious. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

I love coming here with my best friend. She always gets the chilaquilles and I opt for a waffle or pancakes or french toast. The service is always spot on(since they’ve expanded and hired new help, the service isn’t quite as great, but still good, one server kept checking on coffee, which is sweet, but give it some time. The place itself– inside seats maybe 6 – 8 tables, outside 2, so its fairly small but really cutely decorated the food– amazing, everything seems cooked to order and made with love eggs — can be done anyway you want, which is a huge plus! potatoes– they use to have it done in wedges with some onions, but now its like hash browns… not the same, not a fan :( hours are so limited though, they close at 2 or 3 which makes it hard to go and eat there. Weekends are typically packed! GREATEARLYBIRDSPECIAL(I think the hours are 7 – 8:30am?)

Cute little place tucked into a shopping center(cheap haircut place next door if you need a trim!) That is a great alternative to the chain restaurants that abound in this area. Friendly staff could not have been nicer. Food has a Latin flavor(as well as American favorites) mostly Mexican with a few Cuban dishes. I had breakfast at 8:30 on a Sunday and it was not crowded yet-but it was filling up when I left. I look forward to returning

Nice little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is very nice and very on top of things. I had the chicken chilaquiles which had good flavor overall but next time I come I will order the egg over easy(comes scrambles which I’m not used to when ordering chilaquiles) and have them dice the chicken for me. But like I said, good flavors. My hubs enjoyed the Denver omelette as a scramble. They do not scrimp on the meats, cheese and veggies. Their breakfast potatoes are amazing! So delicious! My daughter was excited about the Mickey Mouse waffle, so even if it had been terrible(which it wasn’t) she would have scarfed it down. Nice little spot, reasonable prices, and good service!

I’m glad Unilocaled assisted in my discovery of this hidden gem! Way better than Denny’s and iHop that’s for shure. If you are in search of authentic Mexican food for breakfast you sure found the spot! My brother had the chorizo burrito and LOVEDIT. Said it almost reminded him of moms cooking! I got the veggie omelette which was generously filled with green peppers, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes. For breakfast this is definitely one of my now favorites! Service is fast, it gets busy on the weekend but I had no problem with the amount of wait, they got to us quick. The food is quite fresh and flavorful! Worth the stop, come check it out!

So I’ve been here before but I didn’t really think it was amazing cuz I just ordered one of their omelettes and it was pretty mediocre. Well I came again today with my boyfriend and I found the right things to order! I got the carne asada chilequiles, and omg! They were delicious. So much flavor. I’ve never had chilequiles before, but I love the different textures in the dish. They had raw onions mixed in and the sauce was very flavorful. The dish was a large portion. Normally I don’t like sour cream either but I think it was mixed in to this dish and it tasted really good. My boyfriend got the Mexican omelette with chorizo and I had a bite. It tasted so good! All the ingredients are fresh and the food looked amazing. I like this place because it seems like it’s a twist on American breakfast and Mexican food! I can’t wait to come back here!

Came across this place on Unilocal a few months back and so glad we checked it out. Since then this is our go to spot for breakfast/lunch. Everything we’ve tried is seriously delicious, the aguas frescas are yummy and healthy, we love the spinach and pineapple agua, another must try here is their Mexican mocha. The staff is friendly, service is great and everything is affordable and delicious, check them out!!!

The place is great! I’m not the biggest breakfast person but I manage especially when Le bf is. I decided to get the Denver omelette and it was packed with ham and veggies! Mmm! It came with a side of toast and potatoes that are perfectly seasoned and not oily like a lot of places we’ve been to. I got sausage patties on the side, equally delicious! The bf got the eggs Benedict and it was so good!!! Huge slabs of bacon on there with potatoes and tiny fruit. On the side we got Mexican mocha which is unique and I surprisingly liked it a lot! Also got the watermelon drank and also loved it! Service was wonderful and they kept filling up our waters and checking on us. I had to go orders and was so lost but the waitress was nice enough to wait for me to make a phone call to clarify what exactly my family wanted lol chatequilles?! Establishment itself is very clean. My only suggestion would be to serve something other than grape jam. We will return for the great breakfast experience!

This place is okay, not that great but is just okay. During my last year of college, my colleagues and I would frequent this place to study due to the fact they have actual food here and not just pastries like other places we use to study at. Over the years, this food establishment seem to have change the interior, which I thought was a big improvement as it brought more customers in. They have delicious squeezed juices, and authentic Mexican drinks such as Mexican Mocha to Vanilla Champurrado. Anyways, the owner is really nice and she explains the menu well, as well as her employees too. They servers will check up on you from time to time to make sure everything is pleasant and that you are satisfied. If not, they are more than willing to change your order for you. I talked to the owner when I first came here, and she was open to suggestions and ideas. I’m glad that this establishment improved over the years, and brought in more customers! I was really rooting for this ma and pa shop to be successful, especially in this plaza, since it tends to be not as lively as others.

Hunting down a new spot for breakfast and found this café. It had some pretty high Unilocal marks so I figured what the hell this give it a try. But I had to find it first. S & J Gran Café is kind of hidden away and tucked way back into a corner in the shopping center. I popped in very early the day after X-mas and was greeted by a über friendly hostess who inquired about my Christmas as she escorted me to a table. It was early and there were already a few other patrons. Maybe this place gets crowded? As I pursed the menu I was brought a cup of Joe. Pretty tasty cup I may add served Mexican style with a hint of cinnamon. Went perfect with my food and I was refilled several times. I decided on the Huevos Divorciados for breakfast. A pretty good call on my part. The Huevos D. here is served with some pretty tasty frijoles. The red side had a perfect little kick while the green side was a bit milder. Both were flavorful and the warm tortillas made for some mini tacos to sap up every last bite. A solid 4****star breakfast. The S & J is a very clean place decorated with ceramic tile in black and beige and tables with fake black granite tops. The staff here were all very pleasant making sure that everything was to my liking. They make coffee any way you want it at the nice coffee bar. I’ll be back soon to try the chilaquiles verdes con carne asada.

Love Unilocal for these things. My friends and I were literally starving in our hotel room on a Sunday morning so we turned to Unilocal for some thing delicious, local and not touristy. Enter S&J! Although located in a discrete corner of a semi-shady Anaheim strip mall, this place has some pretty Great food and the service was great too! It was a pretty spring day so we asked if we could sit outside and enjoy some sunshine. The kind hostess obliged and our party of 6 was sat without wait in an area that is not likely zoned for service but meh, «the customer’s always right» right? Anyway, onto the food. Although they can serve a Mickey waffle to the younger Unilocalers, the rest of the menu is Authentic Mexican aka spicy and delicious and full of carbs. We had been drinking the night before so I needed this in a bad way so I went with the burrito. It met my needs and then some! So yum! So close to disneyland yet so affordable! Not the fanciest brunch spot but goooood good fooding!

When looking up photos of the entrees offered here, I kept coming across Chilaquiles Verdes con Carne Asada. The way the plate was composed made it look like an exquisite master piece of delicious flavors altogether(photo attached.) I think the green chile was my favorite part of all. The spiciness of the chile and the cilantro and cream were outstanding. The asada had great meat seasoning flavors as well. The host and the waitresses were so kind too. We were very thankful to have service like that which made breakfast that much better.
