I love roasting waters even though I’m on a new mission to cut down liquid calories. The décor is rustic chic which is down my alley for esthetics. It’s a small space that’s really just enough for you to come order and get out. Luckily the promenade plaza has outdoor seating which is great for people watching. I love the array of cute cups on display. I like the glass bottles as they do set Roasting Waters apart from other boba places. However, bottles are wasteful. I try to bring them back to recycle. Lately, the bottles have been plastic, which are also super cute too. RW changes their bottle type and design from time to time. As for the drinks are pretty good– each comes with two add ons– I usually get basil and chia seeds to be healthier lol.

After spending the day at Disneyland, my friend and I were craving boba and were looking for places near the park. Originally we were set to visit a different boba place until I came across Roasting Water on Unilocal.I was sold on the glass bottles and cute décor, so we decided to go here instead and we were so glad we did! I ordered the white peach green tea while my friend ordered the joker’s green tea and we both enjoyed it very much. We were supposed to enjoy these drinks with our dinner, but it was so good and refreshing that we finished the drinks before we even arrived to the restaurant. We loved it so much that we visited again the next day! Love the glass bottles and how their designs change(I”m not sure how often the designs are changed). I’m not from the area, so I can’t wait to visit again when I’m in town next week. Roasting Water, please consider expanding to the SF Bay Area!

I came here in a Monday night, even though I said I’d never want to try this place again, because a friend of mine wanted to try it out. The line was out the door and when we got inside there was a giant water spill and trash on the floor. I noticed the cashier left the register often and I thought it was because he went to go help drinks, but he actually just had to step away and take frequent breaks from the register. I find that unprofessional. Customer service should be your number one priority at work. Anyways, my friends and I ordered separate and even though I ordered first my drinks came out last. My friends had already gotten their drinks after 20 minutes and I had to wait another 15 minutes for mine. They continued to hand out drinks to people while I still stood there watching no one make my drink. Finally, I got my drinks and I noticed they forgot the add-ons. My friend went back to complain, but they said they couldn’t do anything about it because we had already opened the bottle. ??? We didn’t drink it yet??? You made me wait nearly 40 minutes for my drink that you still messed up and now you guys refuse to fix it? Again, I feel like customer service should be the number one priority. This place is all hype because of their bottles. They have terrible customer service, mediocre drinks, and unprofessional workers. I am most definitely not coming back.

I like how Roasting Water gives you reusable containers when you buy a drink! Their drinks here are reasonably priced(given the containers) and they all taste pretty good. I’d recommend their white peach tea or their yogurt with fresh fruit! The interior is also really cute, with a plethora of cute mugs for purchase.

Came in on a Monday night and line was out the door. Decided to give this place another shot after a not so great experience from the edinger location. Line moved by slowly, inside the floors were dirty which was gross. The cashier occasionally took breaks away from the register so probably why the line didn’t move as fast. Went up to order, found out they didn’t have boba, aloe, or pudding. I know it’s 9pm and y’all close in an hour but y’all are a boba shop, how do you run out of an essential part to your business? Now the interesting stuff begins. My friends and I waited probably about 20 minutes for our drinks. I saw about 4 – 5 workers in there taking their time to make drinks when there’s a huge line of orders to do. More than once I saw a worker put his hand under his shirt and into his pants to do whatever and then continue to make and handle drinks without washing his hand. GROSS. once we got our drinks, they realized they forgot to make one of my friend’s drinks. Took about another 10 minutes to get that done. Then we realized they forgot the toppings that go on top of the drink. Trying to get someone’s attention was difficult, they looked at me when I waved and said excuse me but walked away. Needless to say I was very unhappy paying $ 5 for a drink that took nearly half an hour. I mean I get it, the bottles are cute, the interior décor is adorable. But they sacrifice aesthetics for quality and speed. I’m not down to wait 30 minutes for a small bottle of boba sorry. I don’t understand the hype or why people come here. Never coming back.

I like roasting waters but I will probably stop going to this particular location. I ordered a ice tea with almond mill no sweetener and a jasmine green tea no sweetener. My drink came out to be very sweet and the tea extremely bitter from being over brewed. I drink tea everyday and visit many loose leaf tea locations to know when my tea is over brewed. Pretty sad since this location was closer to home.

Drinks are goood but was disappointed to come in today and wanted to get a strawberry passion tea with herbal tea but was told they ran out of herbal tea! Ugh wthhh! What kind of Boba and tea place runs out of tea??? Especially at like 3pm??? Someone needs to do a better job at counting inventory. So lame. I was forced to get a smoothie, the smoothie is not bad but not very happy with my first visit here. I mean if you are out of a key ingredient then post a sign or put on the menu you are out of it or make an announcement. Décor is cute… esp with all the cute mugs and bowls. Wish we could buy them. Line was ridiculously long after I ordered my drink… so thank God I didn’t have to stand in line for that. Drinks come in cute bottles. And I think that’s the only appeal to this place. Smart marketing on their end.

I am only dragged into this place for the bottles and the cute cups/mugs/glasses they sell here. If these drinks were served in regular to-go cups, I am not sure if this will be my favorite spot. Yes, they have fresh drinks… however, i feel like it lacks flavor? I don’t know. I have been here quite a few times… and my sister brings me drinks as well. however, there wasn’t a time like WOW! I am craving this stuff. I guess it isn’t for me. as I really like Ten Ren and Half & Half Tea House. The normal Chinese/Taiwanese boba spots. Give me a Taro Milk Tea or a Jasmine Green Tea. and I’m already in my happy place.

Love this place. The servers are usually quick and everything I’ve ordered from here has been delicious. I like that you get a nifty container to reuse too. So obsessed! I’ve been to 3 of their 4 locations and everything’s been pretty consistent. I’m definitely returning again soon.

Looking at all the pretty glass bottles, my friends and I visited. I guess they stopped the glass bottles recently. Lol. Our drinks were in a plastic bottle. We went at an off time luckily and did not have a long line as others described in their reviews. I had the Yeti and it was delicious! They were out of their lychee for drinks, but had real lychee juice/bits for my drink. Yummy. I’m no boba expert, but thought it was better than most places I’ve tried.

This was such a cute concept with adorable mugs everywhere. The drinks are a bit pricey, at just below $ 5 each drink. But you get to keep the bottle, so I guess that’s the good perk. I am in love with the fruit slushies(under the Chill Me category) and I will be coming back as long as they keep letting us keep the bottles!

First off, the line was out the door! I’m hoping that it’s because it’s a holiday today. It took 15 minutes from falling in line to finally ordering! Service is very, very slow here. The cashier would walk away, out of sight, then as she walked back, she stops to clean a counter top. I feel that there is no urgency to serve the line that is already out the door. This is a very small shop compared to the one in Fountain Valley. Literally no tables, just cushioned chairs along the window perimeter. Although, there are concrete table/benches outside. The floor is a bit filthy. Nice décor and eclectic. Waiting for the beverage was 5 minutes. I ordered a tropical storm, which is on of their ice blended beverages. Not bad, mild in flavor and could use a bit of a boost. The fruit at the bottom looks very minimal. I hope that’s being hidden by the drink. If I see a line like this again, I probably won’t stop at this location.

I have to admit, what drew me here were the cute glass bottles! The shop itself is extremely cute as well, with mugs adorning everything. Tea here is okay – I didn’t think it was that good, nor did I think it was that bad. I do appreciate that they make their drinks via espresso machine, so at least you’re getting freshly brewed tea. Drinks are ~10−12 oz. — Oolong milk tea was too sweet — Thai milk tea was like liquid sugar. Whoa. — Jasmine sea salt had a weird balance of tastes, since the bitterness of the jasmine was super strong especially when combined with the saltiness of the cream. — You get 2 free toppings! Whoo! Glass bottles themselves, however, are gimmicky. The cork doesn’t stop the bottle well, so you need to be careful when shaking your drink to not spill it everywhere. However, you can’t really beat the price it’s already at: $ 3.75 for a milk tea with two toppings and the glass bottle included. WHAT. HOWDOESTHISPLACEMAKEANYMONEY. The businessperson in me is screaming but the foodie in me is celebrating.

Ever since a friend gave me my first sip of Roasting Water of Strawberry Basil; I was hooked. Since I was in the area, I sought out this place just to see if I could finally grab the bottle with the cherry blossoms & panda bear that I was looking for. No such luck but I did end up with a nice bottle with a cityview. This Roasting Water is located on Chapman in the same plaza as the Movie Theatre, 24 Hour Fitness & McDonald’s. Definitely head down to where the theatre is as RW is in one of the shops closer to there(versus all the other various shops in the same plaza). When you walk in, you’re just enamoured by all the cute décor of cups and knick-knacks that are all over the entire space. It just makes you want to buy them all; then go home, look at your stash, and then wonder where you’re going to put it all. Good thing I already know I have no space for it; *eyes down stare ahead*. I ordered a drink from their counter and went with the Mango Smoothie and paid via their iPad machine. The line was short and the process quick. Only quirk I noticed was that there was no viewable menu from the wall and you’re just kind of at the mercy of reaching the counter and ordering off the pages of menu they have in front. It would be nice to have it available ahead of time so you can scan it prior to reaching the front, but you’d still have to walk to the front counter just to ask for a menu. Once you order, the wheels are in motion and you can actually see them prepare your drink for you in the open kitchen where you can stare at them to guess which one is yours. I got my drink and straw and was out the door not soon after. I didn’t linger around because there wasn’t a lot of seats to sit around and chat inside at all. There are some public tables and chairs directly outside thought for seating that’s just part of the public plaza use. Plenty of parking, delicious drinks and cute souvenir bottles to keep and re-use. Now it would be awesome if there a program where if you brought back your bottle, there’s some sort of discount, but I’m not aware of any such program to date. Oh wells. the search continues for the cherry blossom & panda souvenir bottle…

I’m in love with this place! I’ve had my fair share of tapioca places, and this one now tops my list of favorites. They serve your usual teas, and some tea creations of their own that contains fruit pieces. There are smoothies and slushies as well. The most attractive point about this place is that they serve the drinks inside a designed glass bottles with no additional charge. For example, a green tea is $ 3.75 and that’s all you pay. No additional taxes or charges. It does not get any better than that! The décor and concept of the store is really cute too. All the stores have a modern design feel but they’re decorated with cute collectible mugs and cups. I got the Oolong Milk Tea at this location, and it was delicious! Not the oolong I’m used to, but still tasty. The oolong was comparable to a Thai Tea. HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHISDRINK! Another great perk about RW is that you get two add-ons(tapioca, pudding, basil seed, etc) for free! It’s a small store with no tables to chill at, but there are a couple comfortable chairs to sit and wait for your order.

When we visited LA for the Run Disney races, we came across this place and I love it! We visited almost everyday twice a day during our 4 day stay. I tried the oolong milk tea and the almond black milk tea and I’ve got to say, these are some of the best milk tea I’ve had. It was on the sweet side but not too sweet. The tea is brewed to perfection and you can definitely tell it isn’t that powdered stuff you get at other milk tea place. A bonus is the glass bottles that is comes in, I wish we had something like this where I live. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town again!

This place is actually really cute and I finally got to go and check out the hype of it all. Honestly I was a bit skeptical at first as to why the bottles didn’t cost extra? But honestly it’s really great! Most places charge a $ 1 or $ 2 more for a mason jar or glass bottle but this place COMES with it! Plus the bottles are SOO cute! They have a huge variety of drinks so if you’re not a boba or tea person they have smoothie drinks and other selections. They also have THEMOSTADORABLE travel mugs and cups that they sell! Their so cute and I could understand why they sell out so quickly. Definitely a 100% recommend to any boba lover and any person that loves cute things haha.

Drink: I came here with high hopes… hoping that I wouldn’t want to leave after my first sip, hoping that I would order an extra drink to take back home with me. Yet, you fail me… hard. I ordered the Guava Green Tea with strawberry bits, basil and honey aloe to share. I should’ve asked for light ice or no ice but wasn’t given the option to. so not to my surprised, my drink was filled with 70% ice and 30% drink(& that’s me being generous). I wish I could say that I kinda enjoyed the drink because I DO like strong bitter tea … but sadly I was too busy dodging or chewing on the ice than drinking my drink. All in all, I pretty much paid for the bottle vs, the drink and bottle. Service: the girl cashier was super nice and helpful but I didn’t like how the guy interrupts her while she was helping me to answer his question. Ambiance: cute, different and apparently the music was good(according to my friends).

Super cute, hipster tea/coffee joint near my neck of the woods! PARKING: super duper easy aka plentiful! STAFF: nice and helpful and deciding on what to try and recommendations too! STORE: hipster, cute and lots of mugs and jars to look at! Love their décor, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! I got their Ginger Lychee Green Tea with Chia Seeds, soooooo good! Their drinks price range from $ 3-$ 5 depending on what you get and add on. And double bonus, comes with their adorable glass jars with a cork with no extra fees! Like at Zero Degrees, they charge for their jars when you buy their drinks(if you wanted their jar) And it so happens that one of my friends is the designer who created the new artwork for their jars, so that’s pretty cool seeing her creativeness on a jar! I’ll be back Roasting Water!

I like this location better then the one on Westminster simply because I feel like the store is bigger & I mean, parking is a breeze here. I love, love, love mugs & this place does it justice. So many cute mugs. Service was great & fast & honestly, my favorite thing(aside from the mugs & the actual drinks) is that they dont charge extra for the glass bottle. I mean — WHAT?! How amazing is that? I love their thai tea & my boyfriend loves the pure strawberry smoothie.
