Orangewood Academy

Recently they were closed due to a «rodent infestation». I would think twice before sending your kids here. I know I did.

My 2 year old daughter just started attending Sunrise Christian Preschool (Preschool for Orangewood Academy). I was very worried, since she is still so little. But after 2 visits of the school, I could not wait to send my daughter here.
Our first visit, my daughter loved the playground. While me and my husband were still talking to Audrey (the director), my daughter kept asking us to put her down. As soon as she was put down, she ran to the playground and played with other kids. Both me and my husband were surprised how fast she was adapting to the place.
2^nd visit, we tried the class room. My daughter was again very interested on what other toddler were doing. The teacher gave them play-​doh and tools to work on it. Following that it’s craft and drawing, which I play with my daughter at home too, but the school is able to offer so much more than what I can offer my daughter at home. They have all the fancy materials and tools. My daughter enjoyed them all. Of course, she kept asked me to sit beside her just to feel safe. But you can see from her eyes how much she wants to play like other toddlers.
Then there is dancing and singing time, story time, then outdoor play time (Water day on some of the days).
The kids there are so adorable. One of the little girl (later found out she is only 2 year old as well) even came to share her instrument with my daughter. Such a cute and friendly environment.
This place is a perfect for us. We thank God everyday for preparing this place for us.

Our first visit, there were 17 students with 4 teachers. You cannot get better than this.
4. Affordable pricing (Compare to Montessori)
For 3 mornings or 2 full days, we are paying $ 390 per month.
Lunch is only $ 2.00 if you don’t have time to make one.
5. Good size of play ground and plenty of activity selections
There is a b grass area, big trees with shades, huge sand house with canopy, tons of toddler cars and bikes for them to choice from, and of course slides, and places they can climb and hides.
My daughter would not take naps when I watch her myself, now she comes home and faint on the floor before I even give her a bath. I have to thank to this playground.
I often see rabbits come in and out this playground too.
6. My daughter likes her teachers.
Most of these teachers have been working in this place for 10 – 19 years. It must be a very nice place, so teachers are willing to stay. My daughter cried for a few mornings when I dropped off. But now she goes in, hugs the teachers, turns around, and waves bye to me, like telling me to go home. I am the one having hard time adjusting how fast she like her teachers.
Well, selfishly, I hope my review does not increase their students, because I like how it is right now. However, I am just too amazed that we are able to find a preschool that fits perfectly what we need right now. I just have to write a review. So for those, who have the same concern as me, can know there are affordable and trust worthy schools that you can have your kids try.
