New View Optometry

Everything was a misunderstanding. Went back and got everything fixed.

I’ve been visiting New View Optometry for over 10 years now. Dr. Thuy and Chi Hai are always so helpful, friendly, and accommodating! I go here every year for contacts and glasses, I mainly come in for contacts. Chi Hai always makes sure I get the best deal for my contacts by ensuring I get a rebate. I love how comfortable my eyes feel after updating my prescription!

The optometry and her staff fails to verify your prescription when you place your order through other stores or online websites. Recently, I placed an order through
and they did not verify the rx, which delayed the shipment, which delayed the time that I received my contacts. As an optometrist, is it ethical to do this to your patient??? trina?
I will never go back to this place and I will not recommend anyone to go here.

I went to new view optometry after seeing all the good Unilocal reviews and I’m glad I did. Dr Thuy is the best optometrist I have ever had. She was able to help me with my dry problematic eyes. The business practice here is also very good which is always something you need to aware of in the Westminster area. They quoted me the wrong price (much lower) for the exams but when it came time to pay they still honored it. When I came in for my contact fitting they also included a few extra pairs for me. Awesome place with great prices and professional care.

Today was my first time coming into new view optometry and I am so glad my friend introduced me to this place. The service was incredible and everyone was just very sweet, and that is how I feel all places should be. I know I will definitely be recommending all my friends and family here!

My 2-​stars is mainly because Dr. Trina is pleasant, helpful and friendly. Another Dr. at a different OPT office I visited was mono-​toned… boring… meehhhh.
They have some really nice designer frames.
My Overall experience was a bit of a mix-​up… could definitely say it would’ve been a great experience if a few things didn’t happen. Now, I don’t want to elaborate for it may taint your experience. Just be assured that my issues were handled once I brought it to the Dr.‘s attention.

I love the optometrist here she is so nice and friendly with her patients I’ve had no problems every time I’ve been here. $ 70 for contact lenses exam and prices to put your prescription in are SUPER reasonable.

Pretty good optometry place. Everyone here is friendly and knowledgeable. This is my optometry place not by choice, but because my mom really likes this place. She made a good choice though. They have nice selections of glasses and the doctors here knows what they are doing and cater to your needs. They fixed up my glasses prior with limited charges due to me being a regular here. Now thats what I call loyalty to the consumer.

i would rather put the negative if it’s possible… I took my mom here for the eye exam for both of us. She said she couldnt issue the prescription because maybe the power not fit for us??? (wth is that… i took the exam and you said the result might be wrong)… I came back after few days and asking for the prescription. they tried to recruit me to make the glasses with them but they still gave me the prescription for me and my mom. thank GOD…
i brought the prescription to the mall to make the glasses for my mom (my friend worked over there and she gave me some discount). When my mom got the glasses… it’s even worse than the old one she has… i asked my friend for a re-​check and she said the glasses was fine as the prescription i had… Now i got it. They gave me the prescription with all WRONG INFORMATION since we didnt do the glasses with them… i brought the glasses with the prescription to New View… all they said is that because the technician of my friend’s place did it wrong and but i noticed they wrote me another prescription with DIFFERENT numbers… wth… i asked them to replace the lenses of my mom’s new pair of glasses and they charged us $ 30 (it’s not my fault at all and i had to pay for this… damn)…I want to replace my lenses for my old glasses so i could have a pair for back up and know what… after 1 day… they said it’s $ 150… speechless.
That’s the worst place with the worst service i have ever had…
Dont waste ur $$…there re plenty of better places out there

Walked in at 10 am when they opened for a check-​up. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Had my vision examined for contacts and had my old glasses’ lenses replaced. Prices were cheap and reasonable for the service. Will be returning in the future for all my optometry needs!

Have been going here for years since I’ve moved down to the O.C. They accept most insurance and has a fairly affordable pricing for non-​insured folks! The staff and doctor are friendly and professional. My family and my in-​laws all go here for our eye care needs. To be honest, this is the only health-​related location that I’ve maintained for the longest! I have had fast and thorough experience both through walk-​in and appointments, so I would say, give them a try! I’m sure you’ll love them like I do! :)

My fiancé went in for an appointment for eye problems. He has the correct insurance carrier that this place accepts. They told him that he needs to pay cash to check his eyes out and they told him that he needed to get his eyes checked out first before getting an eye exam. Um. I thought an optometrist are eye doctors? Anyways, they were giving him such a hard time wanting cash from him so he left’ not a great place to go to!!! If I can give a rating with no stars I would!

Friendly staff, very reasonable prices, what more can I say?
In today’s world, where having medical insurance means having to sacrifice in all other areas, I am thankful for a place that is willing to work with their cash paying patients. =) Yay!

We were on vacation (Disneyland) and my Husband broke his glasses. We didn’t have a lot of time or money to spend on new glasses, and we feared that our vacation would be in jeopardy. The cost, the time to make them, and the worry, what of they’re not right?
We went and had his old glasses fixed and as we were leaving I saw the sign for New View Optometry. I made my Husband go in and «just ask» if they could get a pair made in a day. Not only did they say yes, but their prices were extremely reasonable and they were able to get them done in less than an hour!!!
I was worried we were going to have to go LensCrafters and pay triple the cost of what we quoted at New View Optometry!
All of the staff was so friendly, helpful, and my Husbands glasses look great! Very stylish & his prescription was spot on.
I would have paid DOUBLE for the service, the quality of frames, and the convenience of getting us in & out without ANY problems or adjustments!
We live in San Diego and we WILL be driving up to Garden Grove for all of our optometry needs.
I will be referring this place to everyone we know that needs this service!

I rarely go to the optometry to begin with, but this place provided such excellent service from the moment I stepped into the store that I was amazed and determined to give this place the credit it deserves. They had a great selection of glasses and knowing myself, I don’t settle for anything I don’t think is great. The staff was superb and the same can be said about the prices.

I don’t typically write reviews for services such as eyecare, but I am breaking my boundaries and doing just that today. New View Optometry has done wonders for my eyes! I am the pickiest of the pickiest when it comes to glasses, but this place offers such a huge selection that I often find myself in a dilemma between so many pairs.
The customer service is top notch, the selection is phenomenal and the prices are superb.

I went here today to get my exam and possibly get some glasses if the price was right. Everyone here was so nice, and even help me pick out my glasses. Honestly, one of the best experiences going to an eye doctor. The price was pretty decent, a lot less then what I expected. I recommend anyone that planing on getting glasses/​contacts to come here!
