Henry’s Bar & Grill

After a nice cardio session at the gym today, I had my normal burger cravings I get almost everyday. I decided to look up a local burger joint and can across Henry’s. Of course the ratings and comments about their burgers won me over so we decided to head over and check em out.
When you first walk in, feels like a small local bar where everyone’s a regular. I love the retro round barstools and counter high tables for seating. There’s a nice long bar at the front where all the locals seemed to be hanging out at also. I loved they had a jukebox going with some John Mayer (chill type music) playing.
The service and food here were beyond excellent here. We ordered the Frisco burger that came on a garlic toasted bun. Good Lord that had a lot flavor in the bread itself. The entire burger was amazing. I can’t even begin to explain how many delicious flavors were running thru my mouth. All I gotta say is GO TRY THIS BURGER! Cynthia was an excellent waitress/​bartender also. It seemed like she was that only one working and she was able to attend to us as well as the folks at the bar. Great job!
We’ll be back and definitely on a Sunday since they have $ 2 off special going on.

They used to have the best fries. Thick delicious steak fries. Now they use these rippled cheap things that they over salt. Different meat for the burgers. Much smaller and you can taste the soybean meal in them. Fake grill marks on the new heat and eat burgers.
The food quality has gone way down in the years I have been coming here.
Some things on the menu are really good. Just don’t order the burgers or fries anymore the have just turned gross.

I live in Garden Grove and decided to search for some new local places on Unilocal and came upon Henry’s Bar and Grill. I must have driven by it a million times and never noticed this hole in the wall bar. I noticed they had dollar tacos on Taco Tuesday so we went there to eat. We ordered the Frisco Burger (served on this yummy cheese bread) with onion rings and garlic fries, and a couple of tacos. The food was really good.
The place was packed and very noisy (but hey, it’s a bar). People were so nice. When we walked in people moved over to make room for us at the bar. Service was good. Would definitely go back.

Came here for taco tuesday. Can’t go wrong with tacos and beer. Although it took a while to get the food, it was good. We got tacos and wings. Wings were good but ranch a little watery. Not too far from home. Definitely will be going back.

Great place to drink a cold one with good company great music outstanding food. Walking distance from my place can’t beat it.

Suprisingly decent food, beer is cheap and cold. If the place smelt better i would of given them a 5 star review.

Every day is a great day to visit Henry’s. They have great service and great food and great people. Come on Taco Tuesday’s and get $ 1 tacos and $ 1.50 Tecate’s. During the month of March they make all kinds of things with corned beef, YUMMY!!!

Awesome place! Great service. The bartenders are nice and friendly and the nachos are amazing! Lots of good beers on tap too!

Best service food people. Everytime I walk in I feel like home! Can’t wait till the next time I come in!

Best local spot in Garden Grove. Awesome beer on tap. The food is beyond delicious and the service is great. Recommend this spot to everyone. To finish it off they are one of the few spots who have Time Warner to watch Dodger games.

Henry’s is that neighborhood bar and grill that although they do not look much more than a hole in the wall, you, will not regret stopping in after work for an ice cold beer or soda.
The staff is pretty friendly, there are a couple of staff members that could use some customer service training but even so you will not regret to stop in.
Oh yea TACO Tuesdays — If you love Tacos and Ice Cold Beer make sure you stop by Henry’s after work for the best Taco Tuesday specials in the area — good prices too.

It was Saturday night at midnight, it’s pitch black out, and the only sign of life was in the middle of a long, sketchy road from this grungy looking bar. I thought I was going to be murdered… but I’m so glad I didn’t. The food here was YUM!
That «Frisco Burger» is the best effing thing on their menu! Actually, everything is pretty damn tasty. I loved their crispy fries and also their onion rings… I admit, I didn’t like their Cheeseburger as much, but that’s only because the Frisco Burger outshined it by THAT much.
The inside is pretty small and ugly and the service here was pretty chill. Maybe I came at a weird night but it was empty and the few patrons that inhabited the area late in the hour were pretty old, bearded and burly. Kind of not my thing, but if I ever find myself hungry after a long day at Disneyland, I’m getting that Frisco Burger!

Great place to eat and drink without breaking your wallet! No hard alcohol though, beer/​cider only!
Has 1 pool table, 2 quarters a game! Bring quarters or get change from the bartender!
They have specials everyday, Tuesday’s are tacos $ 1 and Tecate for like 1.50. Tacos are big and the spicy Guac sauce is so good ask for it! Probably 4 tacos is good for an average person.
When I went late at night they had specials on Guinness and miller light drafts for 2 $! So always ask!
Anyway I ordered the loaded fries ($ 9), I like how they used steak fries, and topped it off with bacon, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños! Great portion too about 2 – 4 people can share it.
Also ordered a torpedo IPA draft ($ 5).
Overall great place, can’t wait to try more dishes and beers!

This is my favorite local hole-​in-​the-​wall type bar. You walk in and you’re instantly family. The place is full of regulars who are genuinely nice people. The owner is a total sweetheart who will go out of her way to say hi and get to know you. The bar has AMAZING food (must try the fries), one of those internet jukeboxes that has every song you could think of, TV’s on every wall that show multiple different sports games, and a pool table for those who want to have a little fun. There’s plenty of seating, cheap drinks that taste great, and just a great atmosphere overall. Not to mention, Henry’s participates in local street festivals, and the owner often holds raffle competitions (earned by the beers you order) that can end up earning you a seat on a party bus that bar hops around LA and OC areas. This is a MUST TRY for anyone who is looking for something new and homey.

First off, I was just waiting for my to be worked on #racecarlife, needed to eat… and there was a Lil cozy bar as a blessing.
GRACE was awesome made it fun, the food was good and price was not bad at all.
The patrons are rough, but charismatic old timers and young bucks were all friendly.
Next time on a Saturday I will visit Grace again for sure. Jose u need to give her a raise lolz.

LUNCH: It’s hard to write a review when nothing overtly went good or bad.
The people were kind and attentive. The atmosphere typical of a dive bar– old beer smell in the air, dark, and out of the way.
If I reviewed this location as a bar I would be ok with these. As a lunch place — which was the Unilocal search I did that brought me to Henry’s– I’m not.
Overall the menu was limited, the burger I had was ok. French fries nice, yet not super.
Now to my Star choice. I woukd only give a 2 or 1 star to a place that I will not go back to and/​or had noticeable errors in quality. There for i am giving Henry’s an overall 3 star.

I liked the happy hour deals $ 3.00 beer and good selection of appetizer and taco.
it’s small local place (Nothing fancy) Not the type of place you go to unless you’re meeting friends .
The bartenders are so friendly, service a little slow.

Very small little place, almost passed by it on the way here.
Waitress /​bartender was very nice & friendly.
Its small but loud inside so you kinda have to shout at times to be heard.

Great chill place to hang out with friends & have some beers because they have a good selection of beers here. =)

I came here for the Sunday morning football games and I wasn’t sure if I came to the right place because there weren’t any girls in bikinis. (Not that I came here for that reason, but just worth mentioning lol). It was pretty cool because we arrived earlier than most people and the owner allowed us to sit anywhere and also allowed us to pick what game we want to watch on the closest TV.
What I liked about this place was:
(1) The food: I ordered the Sunday special: pazole and it was pretty good! I would definitely recommend it and would probably order it again the next time I’m here. The other options sounded/​looked pretty good too.
(2) Customer Service: Pretty good service and very accommodating. (They even offered free popcorn!)
What I didn’t like about this place:
(1) It was pretty hot. I like to leave my hot house to watch football somewhere else with AC but this place wasn’t cutting it. I am not sure if there was no AC and they used fans only or if the AC was very weak.
(2) There was only about 5 TV’s in the entire bar, but the bar itself is pretty small. At where I was sitting at, I had a good view on just 3 screens and had to turn around for 2 others. I also like sports bar that turn on the volume for at least one game for us to enjoy, but it was pretty quiet here.

When it comes to dive bars, this places fits the description perfectly. Small (ugly) cold beer on tap. Many… Great service, friendly people and good food.
If i were to live near this place, you World find me here every night.
