Our knowledgeable staff can help with even the most difficult decisions regarding memorial services or the final disposition. We have made our arrangement forms available on our website, which allows you the comfort of completing the necessary paperwork from your home.

My mom passed away under some intense circumstances and I needed a crematory that I could trust and wouldn’t rake us for every dollar we had. I received crematory quotes from a dozen places ranging from $ 500-​$ 4K. Cremation society fell around the $ 600 range and is worth every penny and more. I worked with Nicole, who helped us every step of the way, coordinating with the coroner, etc. She is amazing and great at what she does. Everything happened smoothly and quickly. My mom was in our possession within a week with no issues whatsoever. I HIGHLY recommend Cremation Society of Orange Coast for affordability, amazing customer service and follow-​through.

I initially called another burial at sea cremation service for my mom when she passed away. The person who responded to my message me was oblivious and cold — more suited for a career as an Avon saleslady. When my sister and I found Cremation Society of Orange Coast, I was hesitant after having such a bad experience after contacting the other company within hours of losing my mom. Luckily, Nicole was kind and understanding and most importantly, competent. I knew my mom was going to be taken care of and picked up from the hospital which was my greatest concern. Getting my mom taken care of her and out of the hospital morgue — not picking cruise packages for her eventual burial at sea — was most important for me. Nicole kept me in the loop with what was going on. It was very comforting at the worst time of my life. I highly recommend Cremation Society of Orange Coast and send my condolences for anyone who needs it.

I had a great experience with Orange Coast. There was someone to answer the phone and my questions AT ANY HOUR OF THE NIGHT, the people were considerate, know their business, gently lead me to do the necessary things eg. call the police and fire when someone dies, their costs are right on their website, there are no hidden costs. I’d use them again. I told my husband if I needed services please use Orange Coast. I used Neptune Society for my Mom and I wish I had used Orange Coast, the service was more personable, more efficient and complete and cost less, too. After having used Orange Coast and comparing Neptune, I feel like Neptune’s representative just wanted the deal closed and the signed check. It was lacking.

The communication I’ve had with Nicole these past ten months have been very pleasant and informative. When mom went into Hospice mode, we did not think she would live ten months, but we were glad that she left this world on her terms!
Two weeks, to the day, to get her «cremains» and the death certificates.
I think, that if you have a Hospice situation, if you can plan ahead and have the paperwork turned in to Nicole, it makes everything so much easier. She explains all of the delicate details and puts you at ease.
The staff, picking up my mom, were very quiet, well mannered and they took their job seriously, we felt comfortable with them in our home.
A very sad time made manageable by a professional company.

I think perhaps one of the things I appreciated the most about this organization was their «bed-​side-​manner». Experiencing a loss of this nature is bewildering, and handling the remains is an extremely painful, and more than a little surreal, experience.

My mother-​in-​law passed away unexpectedly and we did not have arrangements made. I started to look for places to have her cremated and.could.not believe the cost. Found Cremation Society of OC and. couldn’t.believe the price… it was half the price of a regular mortuary. Of course I was suspicious, but quickly found they are a sound company. Nicole was amazing., down to earth, caring, sympathetic and did not try to sell or push for extras. The process was quick and we received the death certificates in a timely manner. I highly recommend them.

Not knowing where to turn for cremation services — I was very surprised to find a selection on Unilocal.Even better was discovering reviews. We contacted Orange Coast Cremation and had a very positive experience. They were very helpful and accommodated our requests with patience. The pricing was far better than we expected and they handled all arrangements really well. Nicole helped us through a tough process, very glad we chose this provider. Highest possible recommendation. Our 5 ½ year old son, Matteo, passed in October 2013. Nicole Madsen was extremely helpful and kind.
We were able to complete the initial paperwork online. The cost was very reasonable and the extra’s were clearly marked.
They picked him up from the hospital and we viewed him at the crematorium a few days later.
We wanted to view him one last time before the cremation and were able to do so on the date and at the time as promised. We brought our own container and they were able to place the ashes for us into the pillow box so the we could place the bio-​degradable box into the ocean. Much better than risking the ashes to the unpredictable wind.
Everything was handled with kindness. I would give them more than 5 stars if it was possible.

I was helping out a friend who needed a cremation service for her Mother who had just passed. I spoke to Nicole who was extremely helpful and friendly. She gave me prices and a breakdown over the phone, showing that there were no hidden fees or surprises coming later on, and then she emailed me this info. My friend and I called a few other places but ultimately she decited to use to Cremation Society of Orange Coast since no one was as genuinely helpful and forthcoming as Nicole.
Since helping my friend, I have heard nothing but positive comments from her about the whole process at Cremation Society. She also purchased several tiny keepsake vials that she gave to her other siblings, which was such a thoughtful idea, especially if you have a large family.
Although I would hope to not need these services any time soon, I am glad to know I have found a reputable, friendly place I could count on when that time comes.

I have to say, I was appaled by one the reviews on here because the service and respect I have gotten regarding my vagabond of a father has been the utmost respectful, and courteous that I have seen in awhile.
Nicole M. I just wanted to write a personal thank you for everything that you have done, and all the questions and repeating I have done with this part of my life.
Your dealing with a DIRECT cremation here, and they (in my opinion) ar emore about helping you through this difficult time in your life than a funeral home, there is no «upselling» or guilt trips about not buying this or not buying that, it is just striaght up great customer service.
Funeral homes tend to through guilt trips about «;celebrating» the decedents passing, but we all know this, some decedents may be related, may have given you life, but they took no ACTIVE part in your life, and may have even done some serious damage to you or other siblings, but Nicole was all about proceeding with this a quickly and easily as possible, and for that me and My sister are forever grateful.
My journey is not done yet with CSOC, we are still awaiting the final viewing and cremation, but I had to stand up for this place, because they have made it so easy to get things going and to start the process of moving on.

I was told that my brother in law was terminal and that he had about a month to live. We contacted the Cremation Society of Orange Coast and made arrangements so that my brother would be taken care of on the day of his passing. My brother in law passed away on February 2, and we called the people here and they came right over over and took my brother away, just as we agreed upon. This organization went out of their way to help me and my family and I especially want to thank Nicole, who was very professional, very helpful, very courteous and all around nice person. She went above and beyond what needed to be done and we appreciate it very much and will never forget. I would recommend this place to any and all.

My father past away in February, 2013 and my mother asked if I could look into cremation services here in Orange County. Funeral homes rates are in the thousands of dollars but I consider myself fortunate to have found the Cremation Society of the Orange Coast. They had only 2 Unilocal reviews, one 5-​star and the other a 1-​star so I thought best to call and talk with them to get a better feel for thier business. Nicole M. was the upmost professional and very helpful in explaining their services and walked me thru the whole process. My Mother followed up and also had the same opinion of Nicole. There are serveral cremation services here in OC and they all charge close to the same amount
–$ 690.00– but by working directly with a cremation service, you in effect cut out the funeral home as a middleman so it’s really a matter who you feel comfortable with and Nicole made the difference– she took care of all of the details and made it very easy for my mom. Just because you are paying a far lower price, doesn’t mean thay cut back on customer service or compassion. When I came to pick up my fathers ashes, I was able to meet Nicole and chat with her, she is just as wonderful in person as she was over the phone. I would without question recommend them.

My father died in a car accident in August. I contacted the Cremation Society of Orange Coast and spoke to Nicole Madsen about what we would need to do or how to handle the process. She took the time to explain all the steps that were involved, timelines, what we would need to provide and all the costs.
After speaking with her on the initial call, I knew my father was in good hands. They took care of all the details, arranged for a viewing, did all the necessary paperwork for death certificates and other required paperwork. I was surprised at how well the whole process was handled. They literally made it the least of my worries during the difficult time.
I am so grateful that Cremation Society of Orange Coast was there to make this a painfree experience. They did exactly what I asked, the way I asked, and when I asked.
