The food was GREAT!!! My sister n I ordered different Mac and cheese plates but they were both delicious. We both tried the sandwiches n those were great as well. Sorry but I can’t remember the names of our dishes.
The décor was cool, great sunlight, the table and chairs seen like a newer take on a 70’s dinner. Very clean.
Now the customer service was non existent! We walked in and were viewing the menus, while the cashier looked at us as though we were taking too long. She didn’t offer any suggestion, or even say hello. Ugh! So we ordered a soup and I guess the cashier didn’t hear but her response was «well I didn’t charge you for that, you should have looked at your receipt, that’s why we give it to you» honestly I was instantly angry but the food was so good. Like why the argumentative tone? A simple sorry, we can ring that soup up right now, would have been nice…
More than likely I’ll go back…

I got the 5 cheese mac and melt mac and cheese and it was great. I live in Queens so I came all the way to Garden City to see what the hype was about. This place didn’t disappoint at all. I will definitely be returning.

The shop is very clean and has a very interesting menu. My reason for 2 stars was the service, I ordered 2 combos that included 2 fountain drinks received one drink the cashier had this «I don’t want to be here attitude» she rang us up for 2 cans of sodas and I mentioned to her that the combo came with a drink. She seemed upset that I did not want to pay extra for the 2 Canned sodas again why would I? The combo came with a drink (not to mention I only received one). The owner seemed friendly but I would not return here the service was not that good the food was ok.

I’ve yet to have any issues with cranky staff in the past few months, so I add a star. Plus the Buttah melt was delicious!

Fairly new joint. Came in here early afternoon to satiate my Mac and cheese craving which I get too often.
Very clean place. varied menu. There are soups, salads and sandwiches as well.
Ordered the buffalo chicken mac and cheese medium size. I have to say it was the best Mac and cheese I’ve had in a long time. Good spice and nice bite size chicken. Topped with tortilla chips.
My mom got mushroom Mac and cheese also medium. Delicious. Brother got dirty water dog Mac and cheese. We all took home half.
Fantastic sweet potato tots which I’ve never seen before. They were crunchy and delicious. (trying to get something healthy worked in there)
I would return for sure.

Outstanding food and service! My co-​workers and I ordered for lunch and we were not disappointed! One had the Ruby Tuesday which she described as «out of this world!» As well, we had the tuna, waffle fries, chips, both kinds of tots and tomato soup. All of the food was worth every penny! We can not wait to treat ourselves again!

Not great, but not bad.
I visited here when it had just recently opened. A very energetic man (who, I would assume, was the owner) took my order and offered me a complimentary soda while I waited. Nice! Very friendly and hospitable staff, as far as I’m concerned.
While I was waiting, the same man came back to the counter from the rear to tell me that I’d have to wait a little bit longer for my food because they «wanted to make it again». A very disconcerting comment, but no big deal. I waited a little longer, received my food, took it home, and enjoyed it.
I ordered the «Alpine» mac and cheese, which had bacon, caramelized onions, and a mixture of different cheeses. It was very good, although I don’t really think the tastes came together as I had hoped.
A few weeks later, I decided to take my girlfriend here. Had the same thing as last time, but a bigger portion for us both to share. It arrived to the table in a skillet, which was a really nice touch. My feelings about the food were unchanged; good, but something about it just didn’t go. To this day, I still can’t figure out what it is. Either way, it’s not enough to make me dislike the food.
The one thing my girlfriend and I noticed, however, was the aftermath. The food and our stomachs didn’t really agree, and it just seemed to sit in our stomachs like a rock. Still, though, I’d like to call it a coincidence and I wouldn’t let that sway my opinion of this place.
Would I try it again? Definitely. The food was great, albeit with a pretty narrow selection, and the concept is certainly unique. I’d say to give this place a try if you’re ever in the area.

I got this because I remember a similar mac from «Your Mother’s House». There was no salt. It was soo bland. They had sriracha there, which made it bearable, but it was terrible.
MAC OF ALL DADDY’S
My friend got this and I was surprised because this one had some real flavor with a southwestern flair: peppers, mushrooms, bacon, melted Gruyère cheese. The gruyère cheese was really good, but overall the red & green peppers overwhelmed the dish.
We got there at 735 and they said they closed at 8pm, so maybe we got some leftover macaroni that had been sitting out. I wouldn’t go back for the food. The only memorable moment was our really kind cashier (a blonde girl, didn’t catch her name). She recommended the popular items and described the history of the restaurant. She was very friendly and nice.
They have a great location on Stewart Ave by the mall, what a shame

GROUPON USERS BEWARE… I can’t comprehend how people left 4 and 5 star for their food. I ordered buffalo five cheese Mac and cheese and fried chicken. Buffalo Mac and cheese was over powered with hot sauce flavor and it was way too tangy. Five cheese had way too much cheese compare to pasta proportion. Cheese got really chewy within 5 minutes. Couldn’t finish half of it. Finally the sandwich… cashier recommend me the fried chicken sandwich and it was the worst sandwith I ever had period. Chicken was very chewy better was too dark. Beside the bad food experience I had fallen bait a switch victim with their Groupon trick. Bought 3 $ 8 redeemable Groupon and was able to redem only one. I’m going to let my remaining Groupon expire.

First time here, and I asked for the sampler, girl told me that they didn’t know if it was available today, and then in Spanish asks the lazy manager or whoever he was if he feels like making one and he took a look at me and said no not really. Now I know Spanish fluently because I’m Colombian. And I was pissed. He clearly just didn’t feel like doing his job… Oh and it’s 3:00 in The afternoon on a Sunday.
Also the hours are terrible… Anybody who actually works hard for a living cant come here unless it’s on the weekend.
As for the food, not bad, but nothing special. Extra star for that.

Similar reviews as the others. The staff doesn’t seem to happy to work there. We had to clean our own table and there weren’t many tables to begin with. The food is okay. We couldn’t use the bathroom because someone was in it for a half hour. Deff don’t want to use it now buddy thanks.

Great Mac and cheese with a lot of different choices. I got the Mac of all daddy’s. It comes on a hot skillet, made to order. Very cheesy And filled with fresh ingredients. The owners are very nice and come around and great you while you’re waiting. Great service, great food. Coming back to try the melts.
Only down side, they don’t have a lunch deal for half melt half Mac. Def needed

Loved! Grabbed a bite at M&M after ice skating nearby. This place reminds me a lot of S’Mac and The Melt Shop. Instantly my eyes gravitated to the buffalo chicken mac and cheese but then kept reading the menu and got fixated on their Buttah melt.
It’s a grilled cheese with fried chicken breast, red cabbage, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo… And it was CRACK! I wasn’t too hungry and said to myself: only eat half. But I couldn’t stop, I had a few more bites of my second half!!! Their homemade lemonade is delicious as well. Looking forward to another trip to M&M.
Can’t write without complimenting the girl behind the counter. She was helpful and patient and smiled.

Not sure why such bad reviews. I LOVE the 5 Cheeses Mac n Cheese. By far my fave. I’ve tried a few options that weren’t as flavorful but I definitely suggest the 5 Cheeses. Unfortunately, I didn’t care for the Classic Wisconsin Melt Grilled Cheese. I think it’s just a matter of preference on the cheese combo. Not that the sandwich was specifically bad.
I do agree that the pricing is a little high but cheese and butter aren’t cheap.
Don’t let the portions fool you. They look small but it us very filling.

I wanted to order soup, but they said they didn’t have it although it was written on wall. That was dissapointing. I ordered small mac and cheese with mushroom and sweet potato tots. It was so-​so.
Big mac and cheese with variety of flavors seemed fun to share as a group or family.

Was a little concerned based on some of the reviews on here, but overall it wasn’t bad. The employee was friendly and it wasn’t that busy around 6pm when we went. We ended up ordering a small cheeseburger mac, the sampler and a drink which came out to almost $ 30.
The food finally came out after about a 15 minute wait and it was sizzling hot. The portions might not look as much, but trust me they’ll fill you up quickly. The food was good overall, but a tad bit too greasy for my taste.
I say give it a shot, you might end up liking it.
I’d recommend the cheeseburger (hold the tomatos and pickels!) as well as the alpine mac ‘n cheese.

Not bad for a lunch spot when you’re around the area! After an out-​of-​office work day nearby, my colleague and I stopped by here for lunch before officially ending our day. It was around 2:00 pm and we were just way too busy to even eat lunch. My colleague is a native Long Islander and she read about this place in a local food blog so she bought this city girl here.
Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by the owner and the staff. The menu was extensive and full with varieties of mac n’ cheese. The owner approached us while we browse the huge menu board. He knew we were first-​timers since he already knew his regulars by face or by name. We ended up taking his starter recommendations for first-​timers. My colleague and I shared the Dirty Tuna Melt and the original All American.
Dirty Tuna Melt was a huge sandwich cut in triangle halves with side of thick, crunchy chips. Ingredients of the tuna melt were really fresh which includes fresh tuna salad, celery, sliced jalapenos, crushed potato chips, and with jack pepper cheese on sourdough bread. It was really tasty and had a nice crunchy texture.
All American Mac came in a small little saucer pan that is still burning hot. The top layer has been baked and crispy. It may look small but it was extremely filling from the amount of macaroni with classic american cheese and combinations of sharp and aged chedder cheeses. It was really cheesy and heavy that the both of us still had leftovers to go.
Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of mac and cheese but I have tried several more popular mac and cheese bars like S’Mac and Macbar — just to keep it simple, I was disappointed with both. Eating here and at other more less popular, local flavored mac and cheese spots made me realize they share one thing in common that I liked: the homely flavor. Perhaps, this is where the search for the best local-​flavored mac and cheese adventures will begin.

My husband and I split the Buffalo Chicken Mac and the Buttah melt.
The mac was a HUGE portion. It was really tasty and even better than s’mac in the city.
The sandwich was great too. Super crispy chicken and loved the addition of the red cabbage coleslaw.
It was kinda slow because they were short an oven and an employee, but we didn’t mind. A nice man came around making sure we were happy.
