History

Established in 1987.

Our farm is now the home to six generations. Purchased in 1936 by Wm. Frank Burgess, Jr. our family home started as a tobacco farm with production until 1975. It remained under cultivation with small grains until 1987. At this time 4^th generation member Anita Baase took over operation of the farm for an equine facility offering boarding, lessons and hay production. To date Ms. Baase operates the facility and services now include trail riding and horse transport.

Miss Anita has always been active in the operation of Beech Grove Farm. Wether it be hoeing tobacco with her grand father as a child, participating with her livestock in 4-​H or the care of the horses today, rain or shine. She has served on the boards of local Equine organizations and participated in showing and trail riding in the region. Her goal is to provide an equine education. To make horsemen not just someone that can sit on a horse. To create the ultimate horse rider connection in the end is her goal thru patience and commitment.
