If you don’t give this restaurant 5 stars then you are too hard to please. Stay away, leave some food for me. Best restaurant in Galveston, all the way.

I love this place. The people are so nice and the food is awesome. I was given a gift card here and had never been in all the my years here. I had the crab omelette. It was stuffed with crab and some on top of it too. The Breakfast Potatoes where done just right crispy but not over done. We had the duck Frittata, delicious and the best chocolate cake I have ever had. I will go back a get the whole cake for my birthday.

Great place. Even though it was February it was warm enough for our group to sit outside, Wonderful fresh steaming coffee started us off right. The fresh squeezed OJ was a treat too. They make Belgium waffles on weekends, and that is was I ordered. Everything came out hot and great. Sunflower is on my list for the next visit to Galveston.

Great lunch and awesome service!!! We stumbled upon this little gem just driving around and I’m so happy we stopped. Our meal was sooo delicious I had The Cuban and my husband had the Pork T. Our food came out quick and hot. We will definitely be eating here next time we visit Galveston.

Not sure what happened to this place, use to come here a few years back all the time and the food and service was great. We went in a few weeks ago and the service just sucked!!! and the food was just par.

Still great! Stopped in for a late lunch, and it was perfection as always. They are very accommodating to food allergies and even double checked everything with me when ordered and when served.
Their lemon bars are the absolute best.
Friendly staff.

Love this place. Obviously very busy on Sunday morning but was worth the wait. I got the crab cakes and eggs and my sister got chocolate chip pancakes. Both were great! The crab cakes and eggs is basically eggs Benedict on crab cakes. The only complaint I have is that there were two small pieces of crab shell inside my crab cakes, hence the four stars instead of five. Other than that the flavor was great!

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT place! The food… OHHH emmm geee! So yum! Great menu selections it was so hard to decide… so we got a lot, like way too much. But so worth it.
The service was outstanding, the location was perfect where u could see passerby shoppers and the cruise ship. Generous portions, good prices cute little shop next to it with antique/​rustic type goodies! Oh and
The bakery… JUST GO OK?! It’s really amazing.

Great food and even better service! After visiting the Elissa museum, my daughter and i walked to the Sunflower Café and enjoyed a refreshing salad on the patio. I ordered the crab cake salad and she had the chicken salad. They were delicious and our server was perfect. I didn’t remember his name, but he had braces. He was polite, knew the menu, and he took precautions for my daughter’s food allergy. I highly recommend the café.

Love love love this place! Me and my boyfriend come here for breakfast & lunch often. I love the sweets they have, the coffee tastes so good & not bland at all. They sell their own pancakes mix (which I bought) and I just love the atmosphere. Definitely recommend this to everyone especially for breakfast!
But it is a madhouse on the weekends!

Visited again about 6 months later. Had big breakfast with bacon. Perfect. Had crab Benedict yummy. Came with toast and potatoes, which this time were cooked and a little crispy which I love. It was very good. My eggs were beautiful, one was a bit under tho and when I cut into it all the clear gooey egg boogers flowed over my plate. I hate raw egg boogers lol. Still everything else was very very good!

I liked everything I had here and wish that wasn’t so stuffed to try the dessert. The turkey burger was one of the biggest I have had.

It’s worth the drive from the seawall or surrounding area. I had the oyster Benedict. It was a holiday special and the waiter was not familiar with the sides. I had to ask for the missing items but the 5 stars are based on the food and not the service. They have a bakery inside as well as a small shop. Something to consider

We were a large party of 9, and they told us that our wait time was 45 minutes. We waited an hour and 10 minutes. They seated a party of only one less than our group than us and then also another party of only 2 less than us that came 20 Minutes after us, and seated them at the same sized table we ended up at ! It was horrific! We had a diabetic with us, so it was not just annoying but scary. The manager did not come and apologize not were we even offered a free croissant or noting! In fact they told me if I wanted to add goat cheese Instead of my toast as I am allergic to gluten, it would be an up charge! I was very shocked hat even if you have an allergy they won’t allow any substations without a charge. The food is great here. But they do not handle the customers correctly. Next time we are going to mosquito café, I don’t know that we will come back anytime soon., if ever

Went for Mommy’s brunch on a Saturday afternoon… food was good the Smoked Chicken Hash. and Pecan Pancake… YUMMY. Mommy had scramble eggs, potatoes, ham and buttermilk pancake… YUMMMY
The service was AWESOME, our waiter African American with lots of tattoos was supa professional and sweet!

First time here. Everything is made from scratch, nice friendly environment, staff is quick to refill water glass and clear out your dirty plates. Our waitress was Marianne and she was fantastic, there was 9 of us and she took care of all of us. She was very knowledgable about the menu and gave great recommendations. The food all tasted great and was freshly made. The selection of desserts is mind blowing so get ready for a to go order. You pick out what you want and they add it to your bill, That is so dangerous for a little piggy like me.

We got greeted and seated immediately once we walked through the door so quick service. I ordered the bread pudding French toast and my sister n law had the ham quiche although she originally ordered the spinach quiche, they were out of the spinach. She did enjoy it. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day. I would really like them to do the Belgium waffles during the week that would of topped off my morning but oh well settled for sliced bread pudding which they called French toast. Our server was nice and was very helpful. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed. There were some crazy pigeons stealing sugar packets from the table next to us but they never bothered us. I look forward to trying it out again.

The Sunflower Bakery was more than what I expected being in Galveston. It exceeded my expectations! They have legit and fresh coffee and the most mouth watering food.
My all time fav is Eggs Benedict. They make it exceptionally well. Whether it’s paired with fried crab, fried oysters or on anything. It’s all so flavorful.
The gift shop is cute, but wish they had more stuff than just antiques. The bakery looks AMAZING and the canned jars section set up is cute and clean. Bright yellow walls and nice set up they have.
Literally I have been here 4 times since July and I’ll always stop here for breakfast or brunch even if I have to drive a ways. It’s that good!!!

Great breakfast, fantastic service! Seriously, after a night out with a couple too many adult beverages we NEEDED some good breakfast food. So glad we tried this place out! Eggs were a good portion, bacon was thick and tasty, and the potatoes were BOMB! Waitstaff was extremely friendly and accommodating and kept the coffee coming!
Would love to check them out for lunch or dinner, but when on the island why not indulge in seafood!
Will definitely be back for breakfast!

Decided to stop here after debarking from the Carnival Magic and am so glad we did! The service was on point with friendly staff (Louie) that not only made sure our dining experience was great, but that our Galveston experience was great!
I got the Belgin waffle and was happily surprised to find out it had fresh strawberry butter and pure maple syrup. It was so amazing and melted in your mouth! Hubby got the chicken fried steak and eggs and the batter was so light and crispy I wanted to finish his too! Will be going again!
