Description

Specialties

Here at Jimmy’s we have been striving to make everything as farm fresh as possible. A good majority of the food actually comes from our own farm and is 100% pesticide and hormone free. We hope that you will enjoy and appreciate knowing that our food is fresh from our farm, and if it isn’t from us, it is from somewhere local.

Come check out our new Chef, he is whipping up some amazing dinners. He comes to us from Dallas & a very famous restuarant. The food is fantastic and Nothing is more special than sitting and watching the waves, maybe you get lucky on a calm morning & get to watch the dolphins play while enjoying the best latte you will ever have while eating our shrimp and crab cakes benedicts or many other of our homemade recipes.

Lunch Specials, Happy Hour M-F 4p –7p, & the best fish tacos & hamburgers on the Gulf!

We are family owned & pride ourselves on great service and food made fresh daily. Every Sunday the eggs come straight off the farm, couldn’t be fresher and organic produce from our little Galveston farm whenever it is available. We serve only Gulf seafood so you know its fresh and tastes great. Our white bean chili is a homemade recipe from an old family recipe with a little modification to make it uniquely our own.

History

Established in 2010.

In 1971 The Galveston Fishing Pier was completed & open for business, it was prior to Huricane Ike, the longest Fishing Pier from Texas to Maine.

In 2008 Hurricane Ike ravaged much of our beloved Island, including our very loved Fishing Pier. Almost 3 years and alot of work later we opened again, we are still building our Pier to its original length but added a restuarant with a veiw that really can’t be beat on the Island. We have been open for business since October 2010, we have learned alot and developed a menu we are very proud of. We are continuing our development with the building of local organic gardens, aquaponic systems — fresh eggs and soon to come fresh goat cheese. We are excited to see where things will lead next, it has certainly been an adventure!

Meet the Business Owner

Jimmy, Kelli, Zoe M.

Business Owner

Jimmy and Kelli both graduated from Texas AM Galveston in Marine Biology, with masters from University of Houston. Both developed a love for the island and its old homes which eventually lead to working on them full time for 15years. They expended into purchasing ongoing business which lead to the purchase of The Galveston Fishing Pier in 2008. The business which includes a Fishing Pier, bait and tackle shop, botique/souvenier shop and our restuarant named after Jimmy. The logo for Jimmy’s represents his love for surfing which he does every chance he gets! There daughter Zoe, only 5 years old when the pier and restuarant reopened, is a key partner in determining the best kids books and toys. She goes to market to determine the right books for her age group and younger.
