HerbalQuest Nutrition specializes in quality nutritional supplements and products. We are a limited line store that only carries the best nutritional product lines available. How do we know this? Because our owner is Board Certified in Clinical Nutrition*, and she personally screens all product lines for quality and consistency. She won’t stock a product if she wouldn’t use it for herself or for her family.

But a quality product is nothing without the knowledge to guide its use. That’s why HerbalQuest offers nutritional counseling and testing services. Available tests include those available by Spectracell Laboratories, Genova Diagnostic Labs, and Neuroscience Inc.

History

Established in 2005.

HerbalQuest started due to the fact that we were testing and counseling people for nutritional issues, and then needing to control the quality of the nutritional products we were recommending. Therefore we thought why not stock these items so people on nutrition plans can easily have access to the supplements we were recommending. Interestingly, since most of the prescription only lines we were already carrying offered their supplements in lower dose, retail lines. Thus, we decided to carry the retail lines as well, offering quality supplements for even those people not needing full nutritional counseling. Add in some healthy living supplements and supplies, and some high quality pet nutrition products, and viola — we have a store.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Chiropractor, Dr. Mary Brechtel, started practicing in Galveston in 1998 and opened her first solo practice in 1999. She is a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist* and incorporates nutrition into her daily clinical practice. In 2005 she expanded her limited line of in-​office supplements into a complete retail store that would not only service her own patients, but also non-​patient, health conscience individuals from the community. In 2012 (Feb.) HerbalQuest moved along with HealthMatters Chiropractic to a new location at 6825 Stewart Rd.
