We moved to Galveston a few months ago and were fortunate enough to be told about Galveston Veterinary Clinic and, specifically, Dr. Henderson. He has been terrific in all ways. We have an older dog and have also taken in two semi-​feral cats who needed some care. He and everyone there are always professional, caring and efficient I note that one reviewer commented on the sell-​sell-​sell for the insurance but that was not our experience. Dr. Henderson explained the pros and cons depending on the individual pet’s health, age and breed and let us make up our own mind. SInce then, it has not been mentioned. And yes, depending on the luck of trhe draw, sometimes it is busy but that is not really an issue. And I interpret that to mean that people are eager to go there!

We have two dogs and that means lots of trips to the vet! We also travel all over the country for work so we have visited quite a few. The sweet folks, at this vet, Ariel, Amanda, dr. Guillermo., we’re so very nice. Super cool and VERY reasonably priced !
We took our puppy Reno in for a cut on his back and they were reassuring and super!
Highly recommend.

We have recently moved to Galveston and a friend recommended this clinic to me. My cat needed her yearly well check-​up and received a very thorough exam. Also, she received her yearly booster shot and rabies vaccine. The vet was very knowledgeable and kind to my pet, plus all my questions were answered. Check-​out was fast, organized and fees reasonable. Overall, a very good experience and we will continue to use this clinic in the future.

After discussing my unfortunate visits at this vet office with an apologetic employee I feel better about the situation. They offered to refund me the office visit charges as they should have been much less for a new kitten and his first vaccines.
I stand by my statement about how the vet I saw should have taken a closer look at my kitten’s medical history before seeing him. But this can be improved upon.
The people at the Galveston Vet Clinic are dedicated to keeping their customers as happy as possible, and in the event of a mistake they are more than willing to fix it.

I have had two visits at this place so far. One is for a well kitty check up and the other, unfortunately, was to euthanize my older cat. Both visits, though, quite different in nature were handled by both the vet and staff in such a professional and compassionate way. My son and I were both there to put down our beloved Smokey, cried ourselves until there were no more tears however, as we left Smokey with them, my son and I both knew that they will handle her with dignity, love and care.

I’ve went to this vet for many years and always loved it. The staff is very friendly and the prices always seem fair. I’ve had a good experience with all the vets at the office but Knipple was always our favorite.

I am very glad for this clinic. They provide all the services I need and know my cat on a first name basis (on the phone and in person). My cat comes back always alive and there never seems to be any issues with him. He comes back quieter and less angsty each time he visits there when I go on vacation.
My cat has a certain condition that not many people know about, but the vet there was confident in identifying it and giving me options to treat it. I only gave four stars because I have nothing else to compare to, but I have heard there are other clinics that are slightly cheaper on the island. But I do very much love this clinic for cleanliness, staff engagement, easy location and ease of access, and willingness to work with my crazy-​cat lady self.

Was referred by a co worker after my vet said surgery for a tumor would cost $ 770. Took him for second opinion to Galveston and dr said we could add a mass removal to a teeth cleaning and it would save us some money. So we got a deep tooth cleaning plus two extractions plus tumor for $ 640.
I have seen all the vets there with our 4 dogs and they are great… Such friendly nice dr’s … And pricing is affordable more so than vets where we live in clear lake.
Only negatives are some days are super busy .and my dogs don’t like other dogs
And they have that paw plan insurance which the techs sell and sell and sell and sell and sell which gets annoying saying no
But vets are amazing so I will keep going

We like Dr. Knupple very much. However one of his associates misdiagnosed an abscess in our female Lab. We had to get to a vet in Houston to get the correct diagnoses.
Also, we just got a progesterone test and the charge was twice the charge of another vet in the area. They use the same lab, IDEXX.
Unfortunately, we need to find a new clinic.

I would like to let people know what a great place the Galveston Veterinary Clinic is. We live in Dallas, but while here our dog needed care. The staff & Dr. were extremely pleasant & caring for our pet. Would recommend them to anyone, would love to have them at our home Dallas. Thank you for your care!

Pros: Very nice staff and vets, always informative and so kind, seating in the waiting room is nice and roomy.
Cons: there’s not really anything to gripe about besides the obvious thing with medical places is that on a busy day it takes a while in the waiting room.
They have decent parking, the share a parking lot with a restaurant.

I only boarded and bathed my cat there, but I’m very happy with their services. They didn’t give me crap about carrying my cat to and fro (yes I know it’s on a busy street but Princess Ging would rather be in my arms) and were very professional and knowledgable. My cat looks very healthy from her bath. I’ll definitely be back!

Dr. Henderson is the BOMB​.COM! Incredible vet who treats his patients with the same love and care as their humans would. We have always taken all of our dogs to Dr. Henderson at Galveston Vet. Clinic and always will!

I absolutely LOVE this vet clinic! I have a lot of animals, including an exotic bird, and they all go here. All of the Vets are friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell they really love animals and care about your pet. All of the other staff is friendly, professional and very helpful. The waiting area is nice and large and they have competitive prices for your pet’s wellness. I’d recommend these guys to anybody — they are wonderful!

I have been to Galveston Vet Clinic twice now with my puppy Wyatt and both times Dr. Guillory was very nice and patient with Wyatt. The atmosphere is relaxing and they have plenty of room in the waiting area so that you are not on top of the other animals who are waiting. Their prices seemed reasonable to me compared to other vets and mobile clinics I have been to. My puppy enjoyed the extra treats they give him after and during his shots as a distraction. lol Wyatt approves so I approve!
