Come here for a quick donut or kolache– it probably won’t be the best one you ever had, but it is also nothing to turn down. You can find this place behind the walgreens, in a small plaza. It’s simple but great when you just wanna grab something on the go. Every time I’ve been here, it never took more than 5 minutes max for me to get in and get out. What I like about this place is that it’s quick(mostly because it doesn’t have a lot of business, which I think is because of location, not the food itself) and it’s SUPERCHEAP. Seriously, I bought 2 kolaches and a donut for under $ 3 once. I am fairly certain all food items are under $ 1, but I can’t say that for sure. Also– this place was open past noon, which was nice for one day when I woke up late but still wanted to eat some breakfast food. There are not many places in Galveston that has donuts or kolaches, and even fewer that are open late or are on the east end of the island. I usually buy the sausage and cheese kolache– the guy will warm it up for you too. Not the greatest kolache, it’s pretty light on the cheese which I wish there was more, but it still tastes good. I’ve also seen some donut holes and breakfast sandwiches on croissants, but I haven’t tried them myself.
