Neal Owens, a SAD sufferer himself. was a participant in the original National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) trials for bright light treatment of Seasonal Affective Disorder After conquering his own Winter Blues, Neal became committed to helping others by making the same light therapy available to the public. Owens invented special fixtures called SunBoxes that are used in over 450 clinical centers around the world. His company has wide range fascinating light devices: light boxes, head-mounted light visors, and electronic dawn simulators, all of which have been shown by researchers to offer help with Depression, Sleep Disorders, and Alertness.
