The customer service is okay.

Worst experience ever! Cheated us out $ 150 & they don’t want to pay us back after they guaranteed they would. They wanted to sell us a 2001 Toyota Sequoia without a Carfax when they have a sticker on their Office window that they carry Carfax on every car. They are cheaters & lairs. Don’t buy a car here!
Edit: 4/​19/​2016-​After 8 months we were finally contacted back concerning this matter. Per our request they did finally pay us back. So I gave them 2 extra stars in hopes that they have changed their business strategies & customer service on the bosses end was handled well.

I bought a 2000 Honda Accord as is and was completely dissatisfied in every way with Sunshine Auto. I recommend for everyone to stay away from this fly by night car dealer. They are not to be trusted. Their Better Business Bureau reviews can also attest to this as you will also see in my review.
Let me tell you my unfortunate story with this shady company. I was surprised there wasn’t a lot full of cars at their office. I told them the car I saw on their website and wanted to check it out. They told me it was at their storage location and would take about 15 minutes for them to bring it over. I ended up waiting over a half hour. As I was waiting, the lady working there was very rude to me.
I test drove the car and it seemed to run fine. All the fluids and everything else I could tell seemed fine with the car. I was able to negotiate a decent price and paid in cash. They told me they had to take it through inspection, do any necessary work for it to pass, and then I could pick it up in a few days.
I picked up the car and was only happy that first day. Next day, I started up the car and after divining for a few minutes, it had a very apparent transmission problem. Then the car started to ride smooth after it warmed up for a while. I talked to the owner of Sunshine Auto and he recommended I get the transmission fluid changed. I got the transmission fluid changed and still the same problem. I called the owner again and he said he would get back to me with a solution. A few days went by and he never called me back. Then I started to get the run a round from their office. Every time I called for the next two weeks, the owner was not there or busy. They were doing their best to completely avoid me. I took the car to two mechanics and they told me the transmission needed to be rebuilt or replaced, which would cost $ 2,500+. I needed a car to get to work so I ended up selling the car at a major loss.
In hindsight, I see why they took 30 minutes to get me the car when I wanted to test drive it. They purposely drove it around for a while so the transmission problem would not be noticeable. Now I will always test drive a car when I am the first one turning it on and the engine is cold. They could have been honest with me and told me about the problem before I bought the car, or at least not cover up the problem. I understand that I bought the car as is. However, does that give them the right to deliberately deceive me.

I had been in the market for a vehicle for my teenage daughter; I work out of town, so I prefer email and phone communication for most of my transactions. I spoke to Lauri, she was very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. When I got back in town we went out to test drive the car, Lauri took care of us right away. She was great! Super customer service without being pushy at all. When we came back to pick up our Mazda 6, Borhan and Lauri took excellent care of us and made sure we were treated right. This was our first car buying experience for our daughter and we were totally clueless but Lauri did such an awesome job explaining the buying process and taking her time going over the paperwork, it was practically painless. My daughter is loving her new car and I would highly recommend Sunshine Auto.

I absolutely agree with the previous review (by Ivan G.) I purchased a car — traded in my own and paid cash for the rest. They said that their mechanics checked it over and brought it to the DMV to pass inspection. Yes, I purchased it «as is» — but again, they said their mechanics inspected it and it passed in MD. Then 2 months after purchasing it (lets not talk about the check engine light going on 20 minutes after I drove it off the lot) — the car dies on me at 10pm in the middle of 495. I had it towed back to their establishment — and then played email tag as they first told me it was a) the camshaft and water pump & would cost @$ 500 and could I let them know as soon as I could when to fix it… so I replied «yes» please fix. Then a few more days pass and I followed up with emails asking what was happening, since they were so insistent on getting it fixed… and their answer was — «We’ve replaced those parts and it still won’t start.» So after a few MORE email tags of them telling me they were getting another mechanic to look at it, etc. — they THEN tell me that actually, no, it’s NOT the camshaft & water pump… it’s really the engine — and that I had driven the car while it was overheated and THAT was why it died (!) A new engine would cost @$ 950 and labor was @$ 500 and oh yeah, 6% sales tax… and did I want them to fix it? (!!)
I replied and told them that a) the temp gauge NEVER showed the car overheating and b) I would NEVER do something as STUPID as driving an overheated car — especially when it would cause it to break down in the middle of the highway.
Their response was that I’d purchased it «as is» and they were taking a loss on the labor.
Because I need my car because of my physical limitations, I told them to fix it — but said that I would need to save up the funds because I don’t have an extra $ 1,500 sitting around. And honestly, if I knew that I’d be spending an additional $ 1,500, I would’ve purchased another car.
Meanwhile, I notified the Better Business Bureau about this — to inform them of my experience. Yesterday, I received a reply which included an email from Sunshine Auto LLC which ALSO stated that in two weeks they are going to charge me STORAGE FEES??? Really??? I NEVER received an email with THAT information… I don’t even know how much they intend to charge me.
Don’t, don’t DON’T risk your time and money with this place. Their website notes that «customer satisfaction is job one!» — nope — not at all.
