They have a big room for story time which is nice, and a ton of toys for«stay and play». My youngest nanny child really enjoys stay and play. It’s more appropriate for children 3 and under I think. I found the librarians to be engaged, and genuinely interested in the children.

Smaller than Gaithersburg lib but that also means less busy. I like that it is close by and that they have a nice selection in spite of their size. Large DVD selection and decent new releases section. Staff is friendly and allowed me to check out books even though I had some fines. Great parking and now open on Sundays.

I love this library because the staff there is always helpful, the customers are quiet and respectful and they always have a good selection of books. For Lent this year I aim to read a lot more and the majority of the books that I wanted were already there on en route to being there. It is well organized, visually appealing and the ambiance is very appropriate for a library. I just got an email that I have another book to pick up today. Boy are they fast!

A great library. Not as big as some others(Germantown and Gaithersburg) but it has a nice homey feel to it. They have a big DVD collection, a good Sci-Fi selection and a very good comic book selection. Their nonfiction stuff could use a little work, they’re a little heavy on the computer science and light on social science, but hey, with the internet any book in the entire county is just a few clicks away. I find the library to exceed Amazon in terms of just books. You can log on and place a hold and pick it up in a week or less. This is comparable to Amazon’s time frame, minus you having to drive there, but plus not having to pay for it and not having to store it when you’re done reading it. I think that’s a net win for public libraries!

The discovery room is awesome. Just call, reserve, and you’ve got a room filled with books, puzzles, music, instruments, toys, and discovery items ad it’s your own 14×14 playspace. Pretty awesome, especially on a rainy Hurricane Irene afternoon. The library is medium size with medium-tall shelves brimming with media, books, and periodicals. Spaces and days like these remind me of visiting grandparents on the shore and storms are here and the library and it’s magic books make me forget to miss the sun, at least for a few hours!
