Our hair salon is located in Kentlands in Gaithersburg, Maryland. With over 20 years of hair styling experience, serving in the Washington, DC area and Maryland, Hair stylist and owner, Manuela Garcia keeps up with the latest techniques and hair trends as they appear on the fashion scene.

Manuela D. Garcia, the owner of MJ Hair Studio, began her career as a hair stylist after she graduated from French Academy Bogota Colombia. She moved to the United States and continued her training.

I am new client to MJ Hair Studio and when I recieve good service I like to share it. I have gotten my hair cut twice here. Manuela (who cut my hair) is professional, courteous, and pleasant. She took her time and we talked at great length prior to the cut about how I exactly wanted my hair cut. The salon was nicely decorated, clean, and spacious. I would highly recommend MJ Hair Studio and Manuela for anybody who is looking for a preofessional stylist.

I am sad to see that my original review was filtered or deleted somehow. So, I will post again.
I have been a client of Manuela’s for 15 years! More than half my life. She is an amazing colorist and always gives a stylish cut. When I was living in NYC people would literally approach me to ask where I got my highlights done. I would tell them Gaithersburg MD! Yes, I took the train down to come to Manuela (and visit my family). If you are looking for a professional and talented hair dresser, Manuela is your lady!

Sorry, but the previous poster has obviously never stepped foot in Manuela’s establishment. The salon is quite spacious and airy, steams up like a shower? Laughable. I’ve been going to Manuela for nearly 10 years. There’s a reason I’ve followed her from salon to salon. She’s fantastic, friendly, and always has a smile on her face! BTW, it’s a shame that Unilocal’s filters will probably bury my legitimate review and not the fake poster’s single star review.

Manuela Garcia is a Colombian Stylist. she made my haircut and highlights for the first time. She has really good taste and she is very helpful and professional. Also very friendly and makes you feel relax in a nice place.
The studio is warm and welcome. You definately need to go there.
I want to reccomend her work since I was very happy with the results and I will come back again soon!
