This pizza reminded me of Naples. The sauce was sweet, and boy do they do thin in the south of boot! I am from Chicago, so I requested«double dough» which met my satisfaction. As a person who knows pizza, I would say this one is slightly greasy(hence the four stars), but definitely better than almost every pizza place I’ve tried here in Maryland(where??). That’s right, middle of nowhere, much to be desired, Maryland. Nice to see a restaurant stand out in a positive way for a change!

I used to live in downtown Rockville and absolutely LOVED this place. The pizza was delicious, the atmosphere inviting, and they have a great pizza special deal and a even a way of buying discounted movie prices. When I moved to Gaithersburg, we started to go to the Kentlands location. While the staff there is also really friendly, the pizza at the Rockville location is significantly better(slightly thicker, more cheese, etc). While I’ll go to the one in Gaithersburg, if that’s what my family is in the mood for, sometimes the trip to Rockville is worth it!

Great greasy thin crust pizza the way it should be. I usually just get a couple of slices since that is more than enough to fill me up. They are very generous with the pepperoni, can hardly see the pizza for the meat.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a NY style pizza place where I needed to ADD salt/garlic/Parmesan just to give it flavor — what a disappointment, too. This place could be so much better but they insist on using flavorless sauce for their pizza. It’s a shame because the consistency of the crust and pizza overall is perfect NY style. How can they be so close yet so far away? In all my years of eating NY style pizza up and down the east coast(and NE), I have never had to add so much garlic/condiments to a pizza. It shouldn’t have to be that way!

Thought I used to really like this place. Used to think it was the closest thing to «back home» pies in north jersey. But we bought 3 pies last night for 6 people and we only ate one pie. The crust/bread of the pizza was flavorless and in good pie that’s a big no no. The only flavor was in the cheese, could hardly even taste the sauce. I just couldn’t believe the quality especially for the price.

Really enjoy the atmosphere here and the staff is very hospitable with great service. I mainly get the 2 slice pizza special and a drink. Sometimes I get a regular side salad to help fill me up and get my veggies in. When I feel like being bad, the curly fries or onion rings are my go to. My favorite pizza in the area. Not too many places around here where you can order a slice or two on a paper plate. Just like New York!

My kids love the pizza here, as do I. We walk over here and grab dinner once a week. It is always fun, and the pizza is consistently good.

Pizza was ok but the one in Rockville is way better.

The price was great– 2 cheese slices and a Coke for $ 5.25? Yes please! I really liked the paper thin, crackling crisp crust. The sauce was bland but I recall reading that’s the traditional Italian way. It’s not what I’m used to but I didn’t mind it. I wouldn’t return for one simple reason– the restaurant is dirtier than Ndamukong Suh. The non-slip mats on the floors are filthy, as are the walls. Even though there was only one other customer eating when we arrived, there were crumbs and trash under tables. I even saw ants crawling around the table. Not exactly confidence inspiring about the state of the kitchen.

Sigh. This place used to be better. Not amazing, but edible — at least a solid three stars. They have an everyday special on two slices and a drink, which was great when the pizza was actually palatable. Recently, I’ve received nothing but soggy, greasy tomato soaked bread with cheese on it(I refuse to call it pizza — it’s not pizza) from here, with wax paper stuck to it. Call me picky, but I like for my pizza to actually hold its shape when I pick it up. Maybe New York pizza has spoiled me.

I love Giuseppi’s! Their pizza special(2 slices of pizza plus a drink) is cheap, their hot chicken salad is amazing, and their chicken tenders and fries are some of our go-to’s. It’s also 5 minutes from our house, so very convenient for us! We are usually here at least once a month and are always back for more :)

Sadly, I was underwhelmed. I really wanted some pizza, this place had decent reviews and a great deal(two slices of cheese pizza and a large drink for $ 4.99!). Awesome, right? Well, color me disappointed when I got my pizza. It was burned on the bottom, dried out and bland. I’ll give this place another try because everyone has an off day and I’m all about second chances. They were really friendly and quick so that was a plus. Hoping it’s a better experience next time.

Look, if you’ve ever had New York style pizza, or any decent pizza in your life, then you will want to avoid this place at all costs. I have no idea what the others are talking about. I got a half plain half speciality pizza, so they had the double the opportunity to impress me. While the pizza LOOKED good, I have never had anything so flavorless in my life. The tomato sauce tastes almost watered down because it had no zest. Each time I took a bite, I wanted to take another only because I had a small taste of tomato and wanted more. But it was never enough; it was like drinking salt water. The crust almost seemed like it was perfectly done, golden brown with a hint of charring. The tragedy was that the bread, as the sauce, had absolutely no flavor. I have had all types of bread from around the world, but I couldn’t find a culture that would pass this off as a bread of their cuisine. It had no flavor, therefore, it had no use. And the cheese, or whatever that was. The cheese is supposed to have a little saltiness to it. Oh, and flavor would be nice. But I ate the pizza and didn’t even know it existed. It is the only time where«bland as bread» is not an appropriate phrase because the cheese, somehow, was blander than the bread. The specialty had no flavor either, even though it had 4 ingredients. The only thing that stuck out was the imported ham, which was good. In summary, if you want to have delicious ham, there are more efficient and cheaper ways to eat it. Avoid if you’re a pizza snob, enjoy if you have no taste, as it will taste like everything else.

Boyfriend and I ordered a pizza: half cheese half hawaiin. While the ham on the hawaiin was excellent, the rest of the pizza was pretty flavorless. Unimpressed.

Solid 3 to 3 ½ stars. I’ve mainly come here for lunch for their 2 slices of pizza and soda special. Their pizzas are greasy, so just soak up the grease with napkins. Add little parm n oregano, it tastes good. I put napkins under my pizza slices when I get pepperoni too. Helps quite a bit. Their Curley fries are tasty. I add some parm to it with lots of catsup. Their chicken wings are deep fried and comes with blue cheese. They don’t coat their wings with any sauce, just plain fried wings. Some of my friends didn’t care for them. I liked them. I do like their steak salads. Lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions and meat(lots of it). Good no carb option. Haven’t tried their subs or sandwiches in quite a long time. Jersey Mikes original Italian sandwich is so good, will need to try their Italian sub here to compare. Only pizza place in Kentlands that offers pizza by the slice, besides Whole Foods, who now has wood fired pizza.

After reading some of the reviews, I can see why you either love it or hate it. I fall into the latter category. We got two pies to go, one full of meat and the other full of veggies(in a white sauce), to placate the«savages» at home. There should be no surprises that this is thin crust pizza. Given that veggie pizzas are usually pretty soggy from the extra fluids, they did a terrific job keeping the crust crisp(BIG plus) on the pie, which was filled with spinach, artichoke hearts, and red peppers. There was also plenty o’ cheese on both pies; however, there was a serious lack of seasoning on the pie. Big mistake — no salt, no flavor, no like. The meat pizza was a bit better and had some taste from the toppings, but it wasn’t enough to sway me. This should have been a red sauce driven pie, but they put so little on the pie, it was as if there wasn’t any on the pie at all. The meatballs were not meatballs at all, but slices of meatballs. It works for the pie, but I was rather disappointed I didn’t get more chunks. I would give this a single star for price relative to taste, but the veggie pie was crispy, which is seldom observed, which pushes this up to two stars.

I decided to try this place since I was in the area and it got pretty good reviews, it’s good tast for Maryland but does not meet New York City pizza standards at all, oh well, the search continues … But overall my experience was pretty good with decent prices.

Just ordered delivery from here, ordered a two topping large pizza and an order of fries. Paleo, no. Delicious, yes and no. The Fries were undercooked and they are delivered in a paper basket with a piece of foil over the top, all this in a paper bag, so they really have no chance to stay hot and the foil traps the moisture, making them soggy. Cold and gooey, good for pudding, not fries. The pizza on the other hand was piping hot, good flavor on the sausage, but not much pepperoni flavor. Good cheese and a lot of it. The crust was a bit soggy on the inside of the pie, but the crust had a nice crunch and flavor. I’ll order pizza again from Giuseppie’s.

Want to grab some exceptionally greasy pizza and fries? This is the place to do it. You’ll be full, and so will your coronary arteries. This is pretty much fast food style pizza at its best. They’re pretty generous with toppings and will do them by the slice, and their fries are a treat.

UPDATE: Nearly 7 months after the incident outlined below, the stolen item was returned to me and my daughter by a manager at Giuseppi’s. He found it in the possession of one of their employees, who was promptly fired by one of the owners the following day. Sadly, the other owner who is normally at this location and chose to defend his staff /yell at my wife for insinuating that one of his staff was behind the theft hasn’t even bothered to offer an apology. Props to the manager for doing the right thing and going above and beyond to contact us and return the stolen iPad. And thanks to the other owners who spend most of their time at the Rockville location for being stand-up people and caring about their customers. ORIGINALREVIEW: BEWAREOFTHIEVESOPERATINGOUTOFTHISRESTAURANT!!! I used to be a big fan of Giuseppi’s as a little hole-in-the wall with decent pizza, but not any more. While eating there recently, my 7 year old daughter had her iPad stolen by thieves, possibly employees of the restaurant. Customers need to beware, especially since the owner doesn’t seem to care and their video security cameras are illegally turned off. While waiting for their pizza to be ready, my wife and two younger children were entertaining themselves trying to play some video games. There was barely anyone in the restaurant, and my daughter put down her iPad on the table next to the game, only to find it gone when she turned back around. Not only did the restaurant staff not care, but they refused to allow the Montgomery County police department to look behind the counter or in the back room to ensure that no one had stashed it there! They also told the police that they knew that the security cameras were inoperable… To add insult to the situation, when my wife returned the next day to share news of the incident with the restaurant’s owner, he yelled at her for even insinuating that one of his staff might have been involved in the theft. What a way to treat a long-time customer! I’m not normally one to write reviews, especially bad ones, but I’d suggest that anyone who is worried about their safety and security stay away from Giuseppe’s Pizza Plus. The owner and staff obviously don’t care about what happens to their patrons, and may even be involved themselves. They seem content to allow the place to turn into a den of thieves.
