Autobody Dimensions – Gaithersburg

I have had to take my car to them so many times. Every time I get my car back it looks brand new. They treat my car just like their own. I mean they spent days back in 2011 taking hail dents out of my car. It was so bad it looked like a golf ball and when I went to pick my car up it looked just like new. I highly recommend them for any body work that needs to be done on your car

I have been going to Auto Dimension for some years now. I was quite happy with their work and have recommended them to my brother, other family members and friends.
However my last experience was nothing but awful. One of my vehicles is a Lexus 450h. It has an impact sensor on the side that came loose. I decided to get it fixed by them. Trusting them more than Lexus dealership. The service guy assigned to my job was Kenny who gave me an estimate of $ 176 as he said that it would take 3 – 4 hours to remove the bumper and then install bracket for sensor. For Remove/​install bumper, I was charged 1.6 hours. Additional hours were also charged for some touchup
I dropped the vehicle on ¹¹⁄₂₀ and picked it up same day. However 2 days later the same sensor came loose again. Called Kenny on ¹¹⁄₂₄ and he told me to come at 11.00 on Friday (¹¹⁄₂₇). Went on ¹¹⁄₂₇. Shop was closed due to an additional day for thanksgiving. Called Kenny who said he meant the other Friday (¹²⁄₄). So went on ¹²⁄₄. Kenny had a technician replace and install bumper in 10 – 15 minutes (first time I was charged 1.6 hours) who said that it looked like something hit the sensor and bracket is broken again. Kenny said that they would fix it. Told me that they would order part and they would call after getting the parts. I waited till ¹²⁄₉ w/​o receiving any call. When I called, I was told by Kenny that they were late in placing the order, it was finally placed on ¹²⁄₈ and I could come on ¹²⁄₁₁ to get it fixed. On 12/​11, Kenny called to tell me that the order was placed but instead of Gaithersburg it was delivered to Bethesda. I was told that he would call as soon as it gets to Gaithersburg. I waited whole week, called them today ¹²⁄₁₈. Kenny told me that part came on Monday but they had been too busy to inform me. Kenny told me to come over and that it would take 30 – 45 minutes.
So I dropped the vehicle on ¹²⁄₁₈. There for no mention of any charge, no prior estimate given and I was going back the second time for the same work. They give a 1 year warranty for their work done. It was same sensor out of 8 sensors that came loose again in 2 days after repairs were done. I was sure that this was covered under warranty and I wouldn’t be charged the second time.
When I went to pick up my vehicle I was told I would have to pay $ 66 and they are doing a favor by giving discount. Labor was listed as 1 hour. Another person joined the discussion who said that he was ‘the big manager’ and his name was Abdi Barre. He maintained that it is not the same problem and someone hit the same sensor again in 2 days and that was the reason it broke. He spoke rudely and said that only alternative other than paying $ 66 was for me to leave the vehicle for 2 – 3 hours and Abdi would have the tech dismantle the whole thing again and remove the part. He wouldn’t let me talk without interrupting and finally I had to ask him to give me just 2 minutes to explain. Finally I and my wife just decided to pay $ 66 and leave. We were not ready to trust them with our vehicle.
In the past we found employees friendly and professional. This was a very shocking experience due to 1 – 2 employees among, we still believe, otherwise a good team. I just hope that the management doesn’t let this experience be repeated on other customers.

I am the Queen of car boo boos. A deer here, a parking lot pole there, and an occasional oops in the garage, it seems to become a car boo boo. I profess my love for Autobody Dimensions. They have taken care of my car 3 times in the last 5 years. They are experts and get the job done quickly and efficiently. I have worked with Torie on my last two jobs and there could not have been a nicer person in the field of bodywork. They work with most insurance companies and they work with the customers schedule. They stayed open later tonight, so I could drop off my rental car and get over to their shop. My car looks fantastic! Located right off Airpark Road in Gaithersburg, they are right around the corner. The running joke with me when I leave is Torie says «I hope I don’t see you back here anytime soon». I nod my head and say «Me too Torie.» But, it is nice to know that they are honest, safe, and reliable! I always feel welcomed and grateful for their excellent service. Way to go Autobody Dimensions.

Yes, it’s long; there are many reasons to these 5 stars. I don’t give half-​ass reviews unless I received shitty service. So let’s get to it:
Someone hit me on the driver’s side and left a huge dent on my fender — bumper area a month ago.
Way months back, I heard about AD’s excellent customer service and was told to take my car there if ever I found myself in an accident. So I came here for an estimate 2 days from the accident and was impressed with how professional Sharon was. It was quick, straight-​to-​the-​point, and painless from the appointment to the actual visit. She set me up with Tory, who gave me an estimate on my car damages.
Tory treated my case as though it was his own by listening to all my concerns as I was showing him the damages to my car. He gave me a quick yet thorough estimate by walking me through the write-​up. I left with a great first impression and it felt homely.
However, I like to compare costs and value so I got an estimate from another shop that is more convenient for me but I didn’t get a similar excellent customer service from AD (and mind you, I did get my previous car fixed at that local shop years ago). So when came the time for the insurance claim to finally give me a green light to get my car fixed, I chose AD because I was treated very well– familial almost. The great first impression stuck with me and now I’m here to validate that:
I dropped my car on a Monday morning and asked Sharon if I could stay for about an hour, while I wait for my rental car. She immediately looked back at me in horror and asked if she could get me someone else. At first I denied the gesture since I already made a reservation but I really did not want to wait for that long since I had to be at work. It was very kind of her to call another company to pick me up and update the insurance company as well so I was very happy (and über grateful)!
Tory told me it would take about a week but would call me with updates– and yes, he sure did! I felt very secured and well taken cared of.
I got my car back today and he looks like new again. I am very pleased and extremely impressed with their seasoned craftsmanship.
Before I left with my car, Tory walked me through the repairs and showed me all the work they have done– now that is truly professional! Really happy I was assigned to him!
A few words to describe AD: High quality craftsmanship. Seasoned professionals. Da bomb customer service.
No shop can beat this and I’m telling everybody.

If I could give a No Star I would have. Looked at the reviews thought it would be a good place to go to get something painted. Dropped it off and they said they would start on it Tuesday. I came to pick it up and come to find out they have not even started working on it. The lady at the front desk was rude and they couldn’t find my name and had it under a different name! Very unreliable and did not seem to care about the customer so I left and found someone else to take care of it. Will not be back!

Despite previous good experiences, lately encountered blatant lying about a very poor repair of collision damage. The owner (s) may be honest, but they have people working for them who will say anything to pass on bad work, and I have always believed such behavior is condoned by management. Will not return!

I took my motorcycle fender in for some dent work and to have it repainted. The paint was a custom Harley color. I actually had to research with corporate HQ’s to get the paint code because Battley HD couldn’t even obtain it. I provided the paint code to Kenny and the job was fixed to perfection. The price was also reasonable.

Auto body dimensions is definitely one of the best bodyshops ever!!! My excellent condition mustang with 8,800 miles suffered some serious damage… $ 12,500 in damages from a front-​end collision. One month later, they made the car look and run exactly the same as before the accident. I couldn’t be any happier!!!
They used only factory OEM parts. They even replaced my aftermarket parts (CAI and decals) and charged the other person’s insurance for that. I think that the pictures speak for the workmanship of this shop.
Their staff is also very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend them and would return myself if I ever got into an accident.

No one ever wants to have a need for autobody repair but I can state from personal experience and referral, that Autobody Dimensions is the place to complete the work when needed. I have had the pleasure of being assigned to Tory on one visit and then happily requesting his assistance on another. Not only is the work as good as new but Tory makes every effort to communicate each detail and possible options. In addition to being transparent, they work hard to get you back in your vehicle as soon as possible.
Not only would I be happy to have all work done there, I encourage anyone reading this to give Tory a call and learn for yourself. I can’t imagine him or the team doing anything short of working hard to make you happy.

Did a great job fixing my car for my USAA claim. Highly recommend.

I hope I never need body repair work on my car again, but if I do, I’m using these guys again. Even if I have to have my car towed there and pay extra out of pocket to do it! The service is exceptional and everyone I dealt with was very friendly. Not only did they finish the job early and do incredible work, they even did a mini-​detail job on my car, and it was so clean! I was both pleasantly surprised and horrified at the thought of how many graham cracker crumbs they must have vacuumed up! Thank you Autobody Dimensions for taking better care of my car than I do :)

My 1^st assessment of this place was spot on 100% correct. Yesterday was my 4 (and hopefully final) trip to the shop and every single time, the service/​professional work is consistent. After getting my car back, I had several other things that needed to be replaced, fixed and retuned. (Steering rack/​fan motor/​etc.)
As annoying as this may have been for both me and the shop, Tory probably called USAA 10 times to get approval for additional parts not on the initial adjustment after the accident. I called or received calls from USAA 0 times (which is a good thing I hope!).
He was able to acquire additional parts that needed to be replaced well over $ 2000 and I was covered by my initial $ 250 deductible. USAA must love this guy because he got me everything that he could possibly could to fix my car back to OEM specifications.
Notes:
I was on vacation in Mexico and they worked and took care of my car until I got back.
My car finally feels safe to drive now.
2 months after the accident and Tory is still working closely on my case… what a guy.
Will definitely come back for future body work/​service.

My husband and I have been super pleased with the customer service and quality of work. When a deer hit my husband’s G35 they put it back together like new! Torry was especially helpful and outstanding. Exceptional!

If I could give ZERO I would… DO NOT take your car here even if your insurance company forces you to! It will end up coming out of there with more issues than it went in with and they will expect you to pay for it. :-(

Seriously the best body shop around. After having been completely humiliated by another body shop raping my car (left with more damage, amazing), I went to Autobody Dimensions. INCREDIBLE job. They fixed every issue without a doubt, I had absolutely 0 reasons to complain. Whoever repaired my car stayed an hour and a half after closing to accommodate me, tested it with me, explained everything.
After I got inside to drive off, I noticed that they also carefully hung a little bottle of touch-​up paint (PERFECT MATCH TO MY PAINT) on the windshield wiper lever next to the steering wheel so I could touch up the results of those idiots who open their doors into my car.
Impressive. 5 stars, hands down.

Their labor rates are reasonable and they had my car ready within the promised three-​day window. Smooth sailing from start to finish and they did a great job repairing my vehicle.
The adjuster and receptionist were efficient, courteous, and professional at all times. I’d recommend this business to my friends and family.

I got my car repaired at the Bethesda location.
1. They told me to pick up my car after 5pm, but by the time I got there, they were closed for the weekend leaving me and another customer in a lurch. They do not have after work or weekend hours meaning that it’s virtually impossible to pick up one’s car the day it was repaired.
2. They agreed to do additional repair work on the car outside of what the insurance company was going to that I would pay for. This work was not completed, nor was I billed for it– the agreement to complete the work just «disappeared.»
