TSC Moving

I have used them in the past for eBay deliveries and had no issues. However, for my most recent furniture delivery, in November of 2014, they damaged the item. When I tried to follow up, customer service was unresponsive and claimed it was not covered by insurance. The company no seems to have gone out of business (small wonders), so no chance of every getting them to pay for what they damaged.

Some of the very worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would definitely NOT recommend using TSC. Their services are extremely slow — they pushed my delivery date back about 10 times, including 4 times the week they were scheduled to deliver. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of a customer service and they are extremely inflexible. Go with someone else. I got the distinct feeling that they did not care about my business or my time at all.

TSC delivered a piece of furniture I bought on ebay. It took longer than 8 weeks to get to me, but that was the least of my problems. While leaving, their driver hit and nearly totaled my SUV, which was parked in front of my house. The police came out and confirmed the driver was at fault due to «unsafe» driving. I am now dealing with the headaches of insurance companies and repair shops. Given that they trashed my car when making the delivery, I requested a refund of the $ 249 I paid them. I thought that was the least they could do under the circumstances. They refused, and seem to think that a delivery that includes causing more than $ 7,000 damage to a customer’s car is a satisfactory delivery of service.

I honestly don’t know if they have different people delivering or what but the two experiences I have had have not been good. They first delivered an antique french country coffee table for a family member which when it was delivered had the blanket wrapping tear some large splinters out of the table. When we questioned them about it they had stated that there was some missing already. This was true but you can tell fresh broken pieces from the coloration and the lint stuck in the table, but we let it go. Now the second time I used them they were listed by an auction house as a shipper and so I had them ship a few 19^th century stoneware pots and antique books I had won to me. Now to receive items it seems that it takes 6 – 10 weeks to actually receive your items if they are a few states away. So when it finally arrived, I watched them unload the items and was shocked by how carelessly they were «wrapped». The driver just pulled out a blanket, not in any box or secured or anything and just started pulling out some of the pottery and as you can expect from such reckless «wrapping» one of the three pieces was broken with a large piece broken at the top and a crack around the piece. I was amazed that the other two pieces didn’t break but they are pretty strong. Now the antique books which I would assume would be easy to wrap and ship were also damaged. The books were put in a box which I believe was even provided by the auction house as I have been to a few auctions and if you do buy a large amount they just place them in whatever box they have to carry them out, and so by the condition of the cardboard box I believe this is what happened. So then they did not package the book in an appropriate manner but worse, the box did not have a lid and so to prevent the books from falling out they put packaging tape across the top but didn’t put a lid or even a piece of paper to prevent the books from sticking to tape so 6 – 7 books were damaged as they got stuck to the tape and ripped some of the binding and covers of some of the book. They have finally reimburse me as they deemed the price of fixing these items was too much and so now I just have some broken books and pot.
Conclusion: For moving I guess they are fine if you can wait for 2 months to get your items BUT do NOT use them for antiques and collectibles as they seem not to understand that these things may need to be treated a little more carefully even though they state that is their specialty.

Difficult to contact. Customer Service rarely picks up. They also list a day-​of contact number that is out of service.
One of my items they forgot to put on the truck so… a month delay there. Then the next piece they misplaced when it got to town — add another month+. I probably contacted them 30 times to try to get things sorted out. Eventually, they offered me a partial refund on one item. But honestly, i couldn’t in good faith recommend TSC to anyone.

Very satisfied with the service from TSC, I contacted them about moving a sofa from NC to Southern California and not only did they match the competitor’s quote, they were easy to make business with. My item came home very well packed, carefully placed in my home and a few days ahead of schedule… i highly recommend them!

My experience with the fine folks at TSC Moving was unique. In my case due to no fault of their own my grandfather clock which was being moved across country was damaged and I expected they would try to shift blame to someone else or resist handling the repair. To my surprise Ludger at TSC was more than willing to work with me to «make things right.» I am happy to report that once I showed them the damages and an estimate from my local clock specialist they promptly re-​embursed me for the repairs. I do not believe TSC Moving damages many items but when they did (I my case) they stood behind their work.

I was very pleased with TSC Moving’s customer service. The emails were communicative and personable. Dispatch was kind to call ahead of time. The movers were punctual, professional, and amiable. Genuine customer service is rare, and as I have worked in the client relations field in the past (I now teach), I truly appreciate it when my customer relations experience is pleasant.
