The Top of Gainesville

So, show up at 7pm, little early I know, I’m the only guy in the bar. 8 girls working, 9 if you count the one crocheting a sweater by the front door. Now I know what chum being thrown from boat during shark week feels like. Out of 9 one was hot enough to talk too, after about an hour I ran for the door. Save your money!!!

I visited the Top of Gainesville on a Friday night, middle of August, as part of a bachelor party weekend. We rented a house on Lanier and were looking for entertainment in the area. Our group of guys was skeptical, but figured if it sucked we’d just cut our loses.
First off, the neighborhood is pretty shady. This coming from a guy that lives in North Dakota– so take that for what it’s worth. I think the usual cover charge is $ 10. However, they had no problem knocking it down to $ 5/​person when 8 of us showed up. Someone mentioned a two-​drink minimum, but I don’t remember having to order any. We did our share of drinking. Bud Lite bottles were $ 3. I think smoking is allowed.
I probably average one strip club a year and all of those were in bachelor party groups. I don’t care much for them, but hey, if the groom wants to go, let’s do it. There’s no back room. No high-​pressure selling for private dances. Good mix of girls both weight and race. None really looked cracked-​out.
Honestly, I had a good time. It’s no Spearmint Rhino, but for being an hour outside of Atlanta, it serves its purpose.
