One of the best Publix out there! Great layout and friendly staff. Conveniently located and never lets you down!

First off Publix is my favorite restaurant chain in Florida with Trader Joe’s now a close second. This Publix is my favorite Publix I have shopped at. The produce is always fresh and reasonably priced. Some products are a little more expensive than elsewhere, but if you know how to shop the BOGO free deals and use their store coupons as well as online store coupons you can shop at better rates than almost anywhere else. I will pay a little more for good service, good products, and a clean store.
The workers are always friendly and helpful. Here are a few examples of their excellent customer service:
I was buying my groceries and the bag boy just took off. I asked the cashier what he was doing and she said he saw that my orange juice lid had came off and was going to get me another one.
When the new Lay’s Potato chip competition flavors came out this last year I was buying a bag in line and the cashier started talking to me about the new flavors. He told me the manager had opened each of the bags in the break room for the staff to try. At that time the manager walked out of the break room and the cashier asked if there was any left. He said yes and offered to let me try the other flavors.
They give refunds no questions asked. The girl who cooks the daily recipes and gives out samples is always extra nice and helpful.

This Publix contains the largest organic section of all the Publix stores in Gainesville.

This publix is huge!!! As always, publix has great prices and selection. I don’t usually come to this side of town but it’s convenient to stop here for a few groceries when I am close by. My all time favorite thing to buy at publix is the tiramisu!

Stopped in because the Trader Joe’s a few doors down was still under construction. Publix was fine, but nothing outstanding.
With TJ’s open, I’ll save Publix for the second «huh, guess TJ’s does’t carry X» stop.

Always get excellent service at Publix

This is Publix. Nothing is going to be super cheap except their specials.
I like that this store is very clean and well lit. This to me is very important for a grocery store because who wants to buy groceries from a dirty store. The quality of the produce is great, better than any other grocery that I have found in Gainesville. Once you get to the canned, boxed or bagged (I like to call this the middle of the grocery store) foods, the prices get to be too much for my liking. I don’t like to have to go broke just so that I can cook a few good meals. The meats at Publix are expensive and are not that great of quality. I love my meat, but Publix doesn’t have very good meat for the price. It is better than some over the other grocery stores around but not the best.
I will say that the convenience of Publix is awesome. There seems to be a Publix everywhere you turn.
The best way to save money here is to buy the «Buy One, Get One» items. Often you can’t beat these deals.
In summary, I love the produce and convenience but will otherwise shop elsewhere.

This review is strictly for their pharmacy.
The pharmacist was rude and whiny, and proceeded to give me a sob story about how he was there from 730 in the morning and I was going to make him stay 10 mins extra without pay, since I arrived 15 before the pharmacy closed.
This was highly unprofessional, as my medications were vital, and I had just gotten all four of my wisdom teeth out and was swollen and in pain.
For him to complain about staying an extra bit is ridiculous. I even tried to be nice about it and apologized but he continued to try to convince me to wait, even though I was using all my energy to not scream out in pain.
I will never ever go back here again.

This is one of the nicest chain grocery stores /​supermarkets in Gainesville. It’s large, approximately 67,000 square feet, well lit and very clean. There’s a large wine selection and a huge GreenWise section. And it’s right next to Target.
Also, there’s a Pharmacy and a Liquor Store.
