Momentum Physical Therapy

This review is for the MANASSAS, VA Momentum location located on Ashton. I had back surgery Sept 1, 2015. My 1^st surgery a Microdiscectomy didn’t work soooo Spinal Fusion on the L4, L5 & S1. Ouch! I looked at several locations and was referred to Momentum through my surgeon. The last PT peeps I had gone to for my Microdiscectomy liked to just put me on the TENS unit and leave me be… No workout, no incision deep massage for scar tissue issues, no nothing. James @ Momentum, simply put YOU ARE THE BEST! He is wonderful & genuinely caring and is really is helping me get back on my feet with excellent exercises and care. I feel like I have done something for myself when I leave, and my body is healing faster than I imagined. I cannot begin to explain what a wonderful office this is, Nina (at the front desk) is so friendly and welcoming. It’s truly nice to be able to go to such a caring office when you feel so poopy after surgery. EVERYONE there is so nice, and I am truly grateful for all! But James, what an awesome therapist and person, THANK YOU!!! In the future if I am ever in need of Physical Therapy again (God forbid!) I will definitely be back to Momentum in Manassas. They are the best at what they do!

Have been to both locations, Manassas and Gainesville, for 2 different problems. I find their approach to be thorough and their employees to be polite, helpful, friendly and above all, knowledgeable. I worked with Jenny Heilman about 5 years ago, she is one of the 2 owners of this business. She always took the time to explain what she was doing with me and why, and always patiently answered any questions I had. I am currently working with Becky and had one session with Rob when Becky was out for training. I have been very happy with every treatment I have received there. Front desk staff is also friendly and helpful.

One on one therapy tailored to your needs. After multiple surgeries I went there for over 60 sessions. Got to know the place very well and love it! Never rushed or forced to do something that would cause you pain. Owner is great to deal with and the staff makes you feel like family. It’s nice to be able to spent time with a therapist and not get passed around to others in the practice. My only complaint is NO changing room. Wife wife is now going to them and also loves it!

So-so…I went before I ended up having knee surgery, and felt like I wasn’t pushed nearly as much as I could have been. Spent all my time with a PT aide — actual PT was often nowhere to be found. And watch out for the marble lobby — tough for even a young healthy person to keep their footing if wet from rain or snow!
