My boyfriend and I had one hour massages as first time customers. Mine was with Andrew and his was with Dennis. Both were awesome! Very knowledgeable and skilled. Incredibly relaxing experience. We will definitely be back!

I have had three great massages there. As an exercise physiologist I can appreciate massage and know good therapists. My last treatment was from Marshall about a month ago. I am recommending him to all of my clients and friends.

Chrystal gives the best facials. I have very sensative skin that tends to break out when I’m stressed. She cleared up my skin after the first time and I try to come once a month becusae the texture of my skin is so much better after her treatments. I have started going without makeup due to my skin looking more even/​soft. She also has great tips on how to treat skin in cost effective ways.

This is my first Unilocal review ever. I didn’t want to do this. I had contemplated on this for over a month. However, I don’t want others to suffer with what I suffered.
They have lucrative prices at first to get the customers in. Once you are in you need to sign up for a monthly plan to get one massage or some other service such as facial or something done. What they don’t tell you is that in the monthly subscription you have the most basic service only. If you need a proper procedure done then you would have to pay extra that can range any where from $ 50 – 60 .This is not the worst part.
Their staff is racist. They hold grudges against you. They won’t take that out on you directly but when you tell em I was suppose to get a $ 10 discount for my birthday they would get angry and ask you if you want to speak to the manager. The manager wouldn’t listen to you ‘customer first ’ doesn’t apply here. The manager would come and tell you without even listening to you that, everything is your fault. I felt terrible the whole time I was a member there.
You would notice a considerable difference in their service; if the staff likes you, they would treat you different and if they don’t like you then you would be waiting to get your massage or something done and you would be able to clearly differentiate how they are treating other people.

Bought my mother and sister Swedish massages for Christmas and set up appointments for the day after Christmas, the service I received over the phone and when I went in was great, all if the staff were very friendly. Today when we arrived, we were greeted immediately and promptly provided our forms to complete. Shortly after, our therapists came out to meet us. My therapist asked a few questions to determine pressure and areas of focus. Throughout the massage she communicated when necessary and I felt comfortable giving her guidance if necessary but other than that it was quiet which is just what I needed with a house full of people during the holiday. Afterwards my sister and mother were both very pleased with their experiences as well. I thought the prices were very reasonable compared to other spas I called trying to book this appointment. I would definitely go back.

Had a massage & facial there yesterday. I got the special from their Facebook page — $ 99 for a one hour massage & a one hour facial. Definitely worth the money! Samantha did a wonderful job on my facial. My skin feels SO much better & looks a million times more even than before. My massage was done by Heather, who also did an excellent job. Only concern I have and the reason why I am giving 4 stars is because I wrote on my intake form that I would like my feet avoided because I have athletes foot (it’s not contagious). But I didn’t want to have whoever was giving me my massage touch my feet — but that was completely ignored or the intake form was not actually reviewed. This could be an issue for someone who really has a serious reason for areas they want avoided.
Otherwise, it was a beautiful & clean facility & I hope to return in the future.

My daughter and I are new members at this LaVida. We are so happy with the massages and facials we have received to date. I like to have at least one massage and facial a month. I have tried many of the technicians and have not had one unpleasant experience. They are extremely accommodating and professional. I have not experienced the «sales pitch» as one reviewer mentioned. I have purchased products from them as I have found them to have competitive pricing for products I was ordering online. Great service and value for the monthly price!

I bought a couples’ massage package and due to a previous shingles occurrence was denied my massage by the staff. My shingles episode did not accompany a rash just the pain and I was not having a shingles episode at the time of my massage appt.
However, since I had marked on my initial appt form that I had experienced shingles in the past, I was denied the opportunity to receive my massage. Additionally, the owner would not refund my money.
Called the corporate office in Michigan and spoke with a rep there who insisted that I should have received better customer service and a refund. Stressed that she would call me back the next day but didn’t. Called the corporate office twice more and asked to speak with her only to leave voice mail messages but no return call or refund.
After relaying the incident to my doctor, I was advised not to disclose any medical situation that would not be apparent during the massage. Ordinarily, I would disagree with not being forthcoming with this type of information but after having experienced the unwarranted hysteria behind the full disclosure, sadly I would have to agree.

P. S. When the massage therapist flat out tells you that your neurologist is wrong about being contagious then I think it’s time to seek another massage therapist. I may be wrong but I think years of medical school trump months of massage therapy school.

I recently had a couples massage here, my boyfriend & I & it was amazing! The place is SUPER clean & everyone was extremely nice! They made us feel very comfortable & each of our massages was fabulous! Prices are very good as well, we will definitely be back! :)

I only come here for the waxing services provided by Amber so I will be reviewing that: I love Amber! I get a brazilian wax here & she is very professional & nice. She’s got a lot of experience & she also does facials. She gave me great skin tips for my face. You can schedule an appointment via phone or online. I like the online option actually. Very easy to use. They keep the store nice & clean. My appointment usually takes 20−30mins max. Amber is great at making you feel comfortable & really fun to talk to. They have a massage club where you get a free monthly massage & I believe 20% off their products for around $ 50 per month. So in terms of the waxing services they are great.

I recently purchased a couple of «spa days» from La Vida for my wife and mother. They both agreed that the massages were great, but unfortunately, the facial was an hour-​long product sales pitch. Maybe this is standard practice, I’m not a facial veteran myself. However it was excessive and negatively impacted the day unfortunately. Maybe if my mother would have opted for the $ 600~ «recovery» package in the beginning things would have gone better. 2 stars since I can’t split it down the middle.
