They’re back! I think they went through a lull because, now, they have tons of stuff again. Prices are a touch higher but still one of the best thrift stores in Gainesville. I furnished my entire apartment from here for less than $ 400.
The workers are all the same peope, too, and it’s nice to see the same faces over and over again.
Also! This is the go to place for artwork and picture frames since it’s all reasonably priced.

This small thrift store has a limited stock of good quality furniture, and a few household odds and ends. The store is clean, and well arranged, far above other thrift stores I’ve sussed out in the area. Unfortunately, they did not have what we were looking for, but that won’t stop us from visiting again next time a need arises. I note that an earlier reviewer noted that the workers would «haggle» with you — if I may be so bold, I’d like to suggest you not do that unless it’s absolutely necessary for your budget — Habitat does a lot of good for people who are truly struggling to get by, and if I/​we can pay a couple of dollars extra for something, well chalk it up to a good cause. NOTE — for $ 35 they will deliver in Gainesville, which can be a good deal if you, like we, are lacking in the pick-​up truck department.

I was disappointed that this Restore didn’t have a lot from contractors in it. There was a ton of furniture, even books and clothing. I was surprised it didn’t have more home improvement items like other Habitat stores. There was no tile, only a handful of sinks. It was a little disappointing. But they have daily specials and a variety of items, so I would check it out again.
My husband found a TV remote and I found a book. There were not many household items. What they did have wasn’t very good. The workers were nice. There were a lot of people shopping and a few were regulars.
It’s a good cause!

The only thing I would go here for is the furniture. They have a great selection of couches, chairs, tables, dressers, desks, and lamps.
They are willing to make a deal with you, so don’t settle without haggling a bit. You can get delivery for $ 20 and that is to fill a good sized U-​Haul with as much as it can hold.
One of the guys working there even helped me end an argument with my fiancé by admitting that the plaid couch he wanted to buy was in fact hideous.

Like most places a crapshoot, but I’ve had numerous music VHS finds and they probably have the best prices in town. If Betty still works there, she might have a batch of her to-​die-​for choc chip/​walnut cookies under the counter. We used to work together years ago (which surely helped me put on pounds in those days) then suddenly I run into her @ habitat and she hands me a delicious taste from the past.
