GatorCPR: The Center for CPR and Safety Training

Specialties

GatorCPR, the Center for CPR and Safety Training, offers lifesaving CPR/​AED, First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS) & ACLS Training from American Heart Association, as well as Wilderness Training from SOLO. For CPR & BLS we offer both, a classroom setting or online and then an in-​person one on one student/​instructor practice and skills test. Our instructors have over a 100 years combined training at the Univ. of Florida, Gainesville, Ocala and other North Central Florida communities.

History

Established in 2013.

GatorCPR was founded by the very first coordinator of Shands AHA Training Center. With a passion for spreading the CPR’s life saving techniques, GatorCPR was founded to not only provide the necessary training for those professionals in our community but to also help educate and train a community so that we can become a HeartSafe City.

Business Owner

First Coordinator of the formerly known UF AHA Training Center. Has a Masters Degree in Nursing and has been teaching CPR at UF and the surrounding community for 35 years. Developed and organized the first GatorSavers at UF. Formerly National and Regional Faculty with the American Heart Association.
