Dog Bytes Computers

My gripe with this Dog Bytes is over a year old. I’ve waited a long time for my anger at these people to subside and it has, but I still have bad feelings about the way they treated me. I’m posting this now to warn individuals to proceed with caution when purchasing a computer from them, as based on how they treated me, people who buy just one computer from them may not receive the same after sales care that they provide to customers who have multiple computers and/​or business networks. I think they are technically competent, but they did not stand by me when the motherboard in the computer they built for me failed. They were very knowledgeable and helpful during the sales phase, and the pc they designed and built for me was probably pretty good except for the motherboard, but I will never forget their cavalier attitude or the abrasive way the owner spoke to me when it failed. All said and done, I would’ve been better off buying a ready made computer at a big box store because the local support and service I had expected based on their reputation, was not available once a problem developed. Needless to say, I will not buy from Dog Bytes again.

I’m relatively new to town. When my laptop began to have issues, I had to turn to locals for a recommendation. Dog Bytes Computers came up.
I found the service to be fast and friendly (they remembered my name after my first visit). The price was right. Repairs were spot on — the issue was resolved.
Dog Bytes recently upgraded my hard drive, and I had the same experience. I’m now a loyal customer and will gladly refer anyone in the Gainesville area to them. If you are in need of a computer repair or to purchase a refurbished unit, this is the place to go.

I had the pleasure of having my computer checked out today by the guys at Dog Byte Computers. They were great and did some free work diagnosing the issue before letting me know that my problem was more than likely with my ISP and not with my computer. They were extremely fast, accurate and very customer-​service oriented, with reasonable rates. It’s a friendly environment, and yes, there is a cute little dog who will greet you! I”d highly recommend this business to anyone within driving distance — they are worth the drive from the places on Archer Road and around campus that serve a more student-​oriented clientele.
