We are a family-owned and operated business that is comprised of 3 companies — Crime Prevention, Custom Home Entertainment, and Universal Security Monitoring.

As a family and as a local business, we believe everyone should enjoy a safe and fun home.

John A. Pastore, Jr. and Randi Elrad started Crime Prevention Security Systems in 1975, and out of the desire to provide better customer service, they opened their own security monitoring station, Universal Security Monitoring.

In 2006 they launched Custom Home Entertainment, to provide customers with a one-stop shop for all of their home entertainment and automation needs.

I hope their monitoring is more responsive than their sales team. I left my contact info on their website and got an automated response that we would be contacted – never heard from anyone. Called their office to speak to someone in sales and was told that no one was available at that moment but a sales person would return my call before the end of the day.. .no one called back. Finally went to their office, met a «live» salesperson and made an appointment for them to come out and give us an estimate. The salesperson came out to the house and we asked them to email us the proposal. Well, it’s been 6 days and we still haven’t received anything! Guess they don’t want or need anymore business… so don’t waste your time trying to do business with them!

What a DISASTER!
Have been trying to get monitoring relocated from old house to new house. This has been going on for OVER NINETY DAYS! YES, you saw correctly, not 9 days. but more than 90 days!
(Seriously. It isn’t rocket science.)
This company has falsely indicated to Guardian that the system in my new house (which is not in the state of Florida) was installed. IT WAS NEVER EVER EVER INSTALLED. We never signed off on a work order accepting the «new» system at our new address.
They never return calls. They never call back when they say they will. They make promises and do not keep them. All I’ve heard is lies, lies, lies!
