I’ve been to this Cracker Barrel a number of times and it has always been pretty good. Sometimes the wait can be pretty long if you catch it at a very popular hour on the weekends but that’s forgivable. Servers are nice and the food portions are pretty sizable. I would say they do a pretty good job for a chain. I roll in hungry and roll out satisfied, and that’s always a good thing in my book.

Breakfast is always cold I have been going there for years and instead of fixing the problem they just want to give me my money back so I’m just gonna stop going and go somewhere the food is not

I still enjoy going. The only downside is sometimes meeting a crowd here during popular times.

Some Cracker Barrels are better than others, mostly due to the way the manager runs things and the staff involved. The food is supposed to be the same at all locations but some kitchens are better than others, too. By my new rating you’ve probably already guessed I don’t think this is one of the better locations, either. The staff seems inexperienced for one: you know how the waiters all have gold stars on their aprons to indicate their years of service? Most here have like two stars at the most whereas many places you’ll see plenty with four stars. The manager doesn’t seem the best, either, and the result is service that is slower than many Cracker Barrels coupled with high demand since this one is near a major interstate exit. There are dishes you want to get at Cracker Barrel which they normally do quite well on, and it’s no different here: the chicken n dumplings, the trout, the country ham all are pretty good. Their French toast however was awful, horribly greasy for one thing and the sausage it came with also was very greasy. They seem quite hurried more often than not and the result is spotty service and often overcooked or too-greasy food. While country-style cooking may not be the most healthy, Cracker Barrel(as a company) should be commended for trying to cut fat and make it healthier and offering ample healthy options, but it seems much of what this kitchen turns out defeats corporate’s best intentions.

I waited a few visits before deciding to write this review. The first time it happened I was willing to try again. The second time I was annoyed and now after the third time I can say with honesty I won’t be back. I’ve eaten inside countless times and not had many issues. You can expect a long wait on weekend mornings especially Sunday but the food is always good. However, the last 3 times we have ordered it for to go pick up. It has been a disaster. Today I called in my order of two breakfast meals and gave my name and number. The lady on the phone told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes. I live on the other side of town so I left immediately and arrived about 15 minutes after placing the order. I went inside and paid at the counter and was told«it would be right out». I moved to the side of the cashier counter(still visible to all the girls working and able to hear if they called my name). I watched at least 5 people come in and pay and receive their food and leave. After waiting 20 minutes I asked what was going on and was told«they’re bagging it now». I waited another 10 minutes and went back to the counter. «Oh I thought you already got it. Let me go check on this for you.» After about 5 minutes she returned with my food and said there were 2 Alex’s in the system. I don’t know what that means but it was no valid excuse. She then proceeded to check my order and I was missing a side. It took her another 5 minutes to go get that for me. She did apologize to me but I never saw anyone in management. I told her this wasn’t the first time it has happened and she told me that and I quote«I need to bug them more often if it’s taking awhile and that she didn’t see me so she didn’t know I never got my food.» WHAT? You are getting paid to make sure I GET my food and yes I know you saw me waiting because I stood right beside you the whole 30 minutes I waited. Skip to go service PERIOD.

Never, ever had I set foot in a Cracker Barrel. We were having a discussion about their popularity recently while in Florida and just drove off the highway for a quick meal after a long day. It was fun! The food was tasty, the peach cobbler great, and our sweet server, Alicia, who is new did a great job on a busy night. The bill for 3 of us was less than 20 dollars!

So tonite dinner at Cracker Barrel start up good. We got a table in like 2 mins. We started with some drinks and ordered food. It came pretty fast maybe 10 mins? I had fried liver and french fries. Fried liver: 5 poor pretty burned pieces of liver. This plate looked sad. I get some collard greens and they were really good so some happines came under my nose. Other plate we get was country fried steak and the meal was super cold and no taste. Just bland food. And manager dont see difference country fried apples and gravy :)

I’ve been to cracker barrel before and I remember liking the food they served and wanting to go back again. Years later, after moving to Gainesville and finding that there was a Cracker Barrel in town, I was excited to finally go back and eat their delicious food again, but was a bit disappointed. I ordered the wontons and it was watery and depressing. It looked like moosh on my plate and the biscuit was super dry. As for the staff, they were not too friendly either. First off, I hadn’t seen my waiter for a while so I had to ask another staff member for some apple butter, and she did not seem happy that I asked her. I understand that we were not her table, but after 10 mins of not seeing my waiter, I was left with no choice but to ask someone else. And to make things worse, I’m sure we were our waiters last table before the end of his shift(it wasn’t even closing time so we weren’t that last table in the restaurant), but he seemed to make it very clear to us that he was trying to get us out of there. He reached over us while we were eating to stock up the sugar, salt, and pepper and would sweep everywhere around us. I understand that he wanted to go home, but he didn’t need to rush us out of there.

If you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all. However what makes this one different is the service. Although our waiter was kind, he seemed to be in a rush to get us in and out-not appreciated. Overall, it was the same as any other I have been to.

Third time we go here for breakfast and it’s very consistent. Great food and great service! I wish I remembered the waitress we had, we’ve had her all three times, she’s awesome! Knows her stuff and is very on top of it, very nice and professional. Petite older woman with short hair. Even the manager always comes by the table to make sure everything is ok, which I seem to think is fantastic customer service. Love browsing their gift shop too! Neat stuff! We will definitely be back soon!

In my four years living here, I’ve been to this location about twice, and they do not disappoint. Most recently I came here for dinner along with five other members of my organization, and we were seated promptly upon arriving. Our server was very nice and patient with us as some of the ladies had many questions on the menu and special requests for their meals. I ordered the Fried Chicken tenderloin dinner with macaroni and cheese and steak fries. Although the food was presentable and delicious I wish I would’ve asked for a bigger portion of Mac. It’s my favorite food and I like my portions big. Nevertheless, when I paired this meal with a sweet strawberry lemonade and biscuits all I paid was $ 10.90. You cannot beat that.

The customer service here is wonderful. I can’t say that about all Cracker Barrels but this one was very very pleasant. We were greeted nicely by LAURA W. as we laughed and talked about how much we loved our grand mothers(my grandma was dining with us and moving a little slow). TOMMY C was our waiter and he was phenomenal. So personable, and accommodating. He even made suggestions on some of the specials. We had a few requests(more water, more napkins, more syrup, etc.) He ran and got it with NO problems and No attitude. If every Cracker Barrel were like this I would eat here every day! TOMMY C deserves another Star! If you stop at this location ask for TOMMY C, he will treat you right!

Sadly the worst Cracker Barrel experience I’ve ever had. It was Sunday morning and the wait was long — expected. I was looking at the candy near the hostess’ post and someone from the back came to them and told them, «We’re out of utensils». Wow, I thought. This doesn’t sound good. After waiting 45 minutes, we are seated in the furthest most corner table in the place. We were given Dinner menus but it wasn’t even noon yet. We waited quite some time for our server to come back for us to then ask for our breakfast menus. I ordered the one egg one sausage patty. We waited an eternity for our food to arrive. When it finally did, I could not stop laughing — I was served the most ridiculous, sad, meal I have ever seen!(Please look at my picture). Everyone was cracking up because it was the most pathetic«meal» in the world. Yeah I was laughing, but in reality I was really upset. The egg wasn’t even scrambled, it was just a mass of egg, and the sausage patty was so small, a tiny medallion, that I could eat it in just one bite. The presentation was just awful. Oh and how did it taste? Cold, old, and bland. How sad. As for the service — unattentive, slow, and pretty darn rude. One of my friends asked for his side of apple jam that is complimentary with a meal. He received it and so my other friend decided he wanted one too — he kindly asked the server if he can have a side of apple jam as well, and the server ever so rudely responds, «You know, you can just share. Your friend’s is big enough for both of you.» Umm, excuse me? When we order something, how can you deny us of it? That was the weirdest response from a server ever. I think she realized it too, because she eventually brought him his own(very very very tiny, about a quarter of the size of my first friend’s) jam.

I finally found out the name of this place. This review is LONG overdue… about a couple years. This is the place where I fell in love with okra. Before I came here, I didn’t know what this vegetable was until I savored this dish and loved southern comfort food. My friend told me that I can’t leave Gainesville without tasting«Crackle Barrel» food. Yes, you do wait a while, but the food is good. The rocking chairs out front gives the store a homey feel and the mini store on the side of the restaurant is cute with things and candy. I came here for dinner. I ordered the Country Dinner Plates(Your Choice Of Any Meat And Two Country Vegetables Handmade Buttermilk Biscuits Or Corn Muffins And Real Butter). The biscuits are yummy, the Breaded Fried Okra are to die for. I don’t remember anything else, just the okra was an experience for me, haha.

Food is pretty good. The server was less than attentive. She dropped the check off and disappeared for 20 minutes… We needed another to go box and wanted to order a couple drinks to go since we had a drive. Finally we flagged down a different server. We never saw our original one again. No clue where she went.

I struggle to understand why Cracker Barrel restaurants are so popular. Perhaps folks like the feel of tradition, history, etc. Maybe its all the trinkets they sell? Whatever it is, it ain’t the food, coffee, service, or quality. This is one of those places you end up visiting because you are either a) wondering what all the fuss is about, or b) receive a gift card from a friend and rather than throw money out, you submit to the test(which was my case). We used one of the gift cards during two separate occasions; was not impressed with their food during either time.

I love Cracker Barrel wherever I can get it. This review is for Zaki, our server. What a courteous, kind and friendly gentleman! I honestly felt his warmth and good nature through his service and we really appreciated him. Hopefully management reads these!

Great food and service. I like the haddock, chicken tenders, and when they have the thanksgiving dinner plate that is exceptional as well. Their vegetable soup is great too. Breads they bring to the table are good(I like the biscuits and corn muffins and have a hard time deciding which to get). I recommend this restaurant if you want home cooking but don’t want to do the cooking at home.

Any time you want to take a bus full of teenage kids to dinner, Cracker Barrel is the way to go. We stopped here for dinner on our way home from a field trip, and the staff was great at handling our large group. Our group called in advance(days in advance, and again about 45 minutes prior to our arrival) so they knew we were coming and easily seated us all without any trouble. 50-odd separate checks, and the only problem we had was one kid that managed to misplace her check between the table and the cash register. And even that was handled well. The food was good reliable Cracker Barrel food. I enjoyed some much needed coffee and breakfast food. The food is very kid friendly and large portions(teenager friendly). Overall, nothing new, but I have to give them 5 stars for the awesome service! =)

Gluten Free Vegetarian breakfast favorite! I surprised myself, have avoided this place for years. Menu has changed, healthier. Love the OJ, service cannot be beat. So many sides and they allow substitutions, be creative, you can eat here. The shopping at their store sure helps! Such cute stuff and great to keep kids entertained. TIP: Always busy, come odd hours or be ready to wait.
