Good customer service. You can’t beat the one-on-one attention from the owner when compared with the chaos of a big box store like Guitar Center.

I recently started playing the guitar again after a 5+ year hiatus. After wiping the dust of the guitar I realized that it was in desperate need of new strings. I searched online for a guitar/music store and found Class Axe Guitar Gallery. As others have stated, it is a small store, but the selection of instruments is impressive. But what inspired me to write a review was the terrific customer service. I purchased a new set of guitar strings and immediately went home and went to work on switching them out. Well, when I was tunning the high E it snapped!!! So, I went back immediately and told the guy, who had sold me the strings not a half our earlier, what happened and that I needed to purchase just the one string. They didn’t have any individual strings available so he opened up a pack of strings in order to sell me just the one that I had broken. Well, I attempted to pay by credit card, but the minimum amount needed for a CC purchase was $ 5 and I didn’t have any cash with me. He and I both thought that $ 5 was too much for the one string(after, remind you, I just purchased a set of 6 strings) so he said that this one would be on-the-house. I was thrilled that I didn’t have to make an unnecessary trip to an ATM or purchase another item that I really didn’t need just so that I could use my credit card. Terrific customer service. I will definitely be going back if/when I need any other music or guitar needs!

Stopped in to get a guitar restrung. This is a teeny place in the strip mall with target. etc. I wasn’t sure exactly sure what to expect, but these guys were great! The store was a little cramped, but the staff was knowledgeable, friendly and very very helpful. Practice rooms in the back seemed filled with happy music-making people and the atmosphere was great.

Unfriendly with an air of arrogance. Being new to the area I was scoping out music shops to buy instruments and take lessons. I really want to get my kids involved with music at a young age and I took my child in to check it out. There was one guy behind the counter that gave me the impression that he was only interested in a conversation with me if I was an experienced musician. He was doing paper work and when I asked about the cost for lessons he gave me a partial answer that required me to continue asking questions to get the whole story. In addition, my child barely touched the handle of an amp that was on the floor for display, not on, not in use and he yelled at her across the counter. I did not get the sense that he was interested in my potential business, first impressions are key and this was a really bad one. I’ll keep looking around and don’t plan to return to this store for any music needs. I gave it 2 stars instead of just 1 because they did seem to have a good selection of guitars and the place was organized and clean.

I’ve been out shopping for an acoustic guitar and a few accessories. Stopped in at Classic Axe. Nice selection of guitars and the owner/manager was very knowledgeable. They offer a wide variety of musical instruments, accessories, and have small, private rooms in the back for music lessons. The only negative I encountered was the day I came in — as a novice I had lots of questions — the manager was the only one working — so he kept interrupting the flow of my questions to go help other customers. He did show me what I asked about — entry level guitars at an entry level price point — Dean and Washburn brands primarily. And he eventually answered all of my questions — it just took a bit longer. I’ve since selected a guitar from another shop(a brand not carried by Classic Axe). But I plan to come back to check the place out again once I get some lessons under my belt!

Very cool music shop. Looks small from the outside but inside it’s filled with instruments. Guitars, Keyboards, Drums, Sound equipment. The people are friendly and extremely knowledgable in music. They can actually play instruments. hah. The back of the store are rooms for private lessons. I really like the setup they did with the amount of space they have. Really wanting to take lessons myself too.

Classic Axe has a great selection of musical instruments for beginners through experts. I have bought several beautiful guitars from them. For guitar player like me they are my go-to store. They have a great selection of top brands; Fender, PRS, Rickenbacker, etc. I have also taken lessons from one of their teachers, Matthew Mills. Can’t tell you how much my playing improved. I highly recommend them.
