Ace Moving & Storage is a family owned and operated moving company since 1990. We pride ourselves as being an active member with the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating.

In 1990, a vision was born to have the best moving company in the Washington DC Metro Area. With only one pickup truck and one box truck to begin with, Oscar and Andy Bhatti worked hard to fine-​tune this vision and created the most comprehensive moving service.

I have used Ace Moving & Storage twice this year and each time was professional, efficient and painless. I had the pleasure of having crew chief Ulises for both moves; he and his team were incredibly efficient (I call him a «tetras genius, as he was expert at filling a storage unit to capacity in an incredibly tight way). I highly recommend this service. As a return customer I was also given a small discount.

This is BY FAR the best moving experience I have ever had. From the first phone call inquiring about prices (hourly rate + travel time-​which is standard in the professional moving industry) to the end of the move (movers made sure I was happy where everything was placed or they moved it again for me) and then reassembled everything without asking or hesitation! The guys worked so hard, non-​stop no breaks! Everything was wrapped securely & they protected all of my furniture as if it were their own. I even had some last minute things I did not get packed & they packed them for me without question. As far as price, it was the hourly rate for the movers plus travel-​no hidden fees!!! I would recommend Ace to all of my family, friends & co-​workers — you guys are just AWESOME & I cannot thank you enough! In regards to the previous review about someone not being aware of an in home estimate, that is common sense-​all you have to do is ask for one! They were more than willing to give me a complimentary in home estimate! I also moved from a 2 bedroom town home & generally it has always taken 4 – 6 hours. You have to take into consideration accessibility @ your current location, to where the truck can park @ origin & destination. Ace was fabulous performing my move — best experience ever! :) :)

Stan Burke came out and was very professional and gave me a very accurate estimate. I was actually underestimated by two other moving companies (big names, not little guys), if I had gone with them I would not have had enough truck space for all my stuff.
This was a large 5bd room house and the guys they sent worked quickly and did not chat or waste time. I have moved several other times and this by far was the best moving crew I have experience. The foreman and most of the mover spoke English. We didn’t have any communication issues. The foreman was very helpful and considerate of our homes and belongings. All my furniture was wrapped properly to prevent damage and I liked that they did not charge extra for wardrobes or boxes for pictures.
I have already recommended this company to a friend who might be moving and would to anyone else looking for the best quality movers with the best price.

Once again, used Ace to move. Excellent service, all of the way around. Debbie and crew are very easy to work with. Great price, too. Would definitely use again for a third move, but here’s hoping I don’t HAVE to move!

ACE movers were efficient in setting up my move with a quick phone call. As promised, 2 movers came, and even though they did not appear to be very strong, they had no problem moving any of my furniture, even the heavier pieces.
They wrapped the couch and other items in plastic to prevent damage and covered most items with blankets as well. None of my items were damaged except for 1 drinking glass which I may not have packed appropriately.
They didn’t waste time chatting or sitting idle and were very efficient. I had myself and a couple friends help and in about 2 hours we loaded and unloaded my packed large 1 bedroom apartment to another apartment including beds, couches, dressers, dining tables, chairs, TV, kitchen items, etc.
I would use them again in a heartbeat because their price was reasonable and they were efficient.

Excellent experience! I was referred to Ace Moving by a friend of mine that used them for a move.
Sunni came out and gave me and estimate. It was very reasonable. Everything was handle very professionally, all the furniture was moved with no damages. I would definitly refer anyone to use Ace Moving.

My overall experience with Ace Moving was very disappointing. There were several communication issues especially with the moving team (I do not speak Spanish). If I could make a suggestion, I would recommend Ace provide an English speaking crew chief for their non-​Spanish-​speaking clients. While there were only a few items damaged, there were a large number of items initially missing. These items were eventually found and returned a couple weeks later. I would like to point out that Stan Burke was extremely helpful in resolving my issues promptly. Ace Moving reimbursed me without question for all remaining lost items. That being said, it is unlikely that I would select Ace Moving for my needs in the future without significant changes in the way Ace Moving conducts business.

Sonny (the owner as I was told) came out to give us an estimate on our move. He was very friendly and seemed professional but it ended there. He never called back or replied to my attempts to contact him on numerous occasions. Debbie (his assistant, I believe) was extremely sweet and cordial insisted that she also gave my messages to Sonny and didn’t know why he wasn’t calling me back. After foolishly waiting 2 wks, I gave up on him ever getting back to me with an estimate. Ughhh, what a waste of time and complete unprofessionalism. I believe he was intimidated by our steep driveway but man up dude and call back so people can continue with their plans to move.

I don’t see the reason for the two negative reviews, my experience was pretty good. They came on time and even came to my house for the estimate, the other two companies I called didn’t have any motivation to go that extra mile. It seems that this company really focuses on customer service because everything was moved out properly; and thankfully nothing was damaged. I don’t plan on moving out/​in soon but if I do I’ll give these guys a call.

Do not use this company. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and thieves. First, they changed the date on me five days before my move, putting me in a position where I was moving out the exact same day that my lease was ending, but when they did this they assured me that they could come at 7am to make sure all my stuff was removed. Next, they changed the time the DAY BEFORE so my freight elevator reservations were completely screwed up and then STILL showed up 45 Minutes late. Icing on the cake, I was in such a hurry to get done that I didn’t review the receipt carefully and I realized that for working from 8:40am until 10:45am, they charged me for three hours of service (in addition to the extra hour of ‘travel’), so for two hours and five minutes of service I was billed for four hours of work. Their attitude throughout the process was completely unprofessional and I would never, ever use them again.

These guys came to the rescue! I had some items that I had just purchased in Chantilly that needed to go to my home in VA, then some items that were at my home in VA that had to come back to my place in DC. They picked up the new merchandise in Chantilly, expertly took it to my home in VA, brought the items that were coming from VA back to my place in DC. The quote I was given was exact. They showed up exactly when they were scheduled to and did an excellent job with my move. Both the guys were polite. I will recommend this company to my friends and clients! I really couldn’t be more pleased.

I hired Ace Movers for a 1 bd to 1 bd move within 1 mile distance.
My friend had a great experience with them, but not me.
First, the movers were late by 1.5 hours. When they arrived they told me they were given a wrong address by the main office. Now, after calling and confirming my address twice, I don’t see how this mistake was possible.
Second, the movers left 2 pieces of my couch in the hallway of my 1st apartment. Because they already started unpacking at the 2nd apartment, I had to move those two pieces myself!
Third, the main office will tell you that a 1 bd move will complete in 3 hours or less, which is not true. I didn’t have much furniture, yet it took 4 hours, not counting the 1 hour of me taking all the boxes downstairs, when they were late.
In the end, no apology was offered by the main office for all delays and mistakes.
Overall, a never-​again type of service.

I found Ace through the Better Business Bureau — a good place to start when looking for reputable companies.
Ace was not without some last-​minute hinks — After being absolutely clear that I wanted a fully English-​speaking crew, 4 hispanics showed up in a 26-​foot U-​Haul. Not cool. I was told that since their company truck was not working, I would get an extra man on the job.
Bottom line: These guys all worked like crazy. I bought them all gatorade and I had to insist that they take the time to eat lunch — the move took from morning until 5 pm. I would not hesitate to tell friends and family to use this service.
BTW: I went online to a mover search engine and they gave my phone number to about 8 moving companies. They all had similar websites — I wonder if these are not all the same company. The first quote was $ 85 an hour, after a few days of indecision, the prices came down to $ 68 hour. I checked these guys out at the Better Business Bureau and there were a lot of outstanding complaints. Be careful out there!
