First off, I have to disagree with the low ratings posted here. I was greeted by friendly, helpful & knowledgeable staff on each visit; I had zero issues with service. And you’re not allowed to take one day off a week? I stopped in for dinner meats while visiting family in the area and was very impressed. The pork is local and the beef is beautiful; nice cuts of high quality meat. Prices are reasonable, especially compared to supermarket options and considering how much better the product is here. Let’s be honest, meat should be had sparingly so why not make it exceptional when you do? It may be a bit more expensive(not much) but did you ever wonder why you can get giant ‘family packs’ of meat for cheap at the grocery store? It’s factory-farmed, mass produced and lower quality stuff; never mind the ethical implications of it. For the locals, consider yourself lucky to have a butcher shop in town! This is a luxury that is hard to find these days, and it’s the best way to buy meat for sure. You get fresh, local product and unusual cuts; plus the tips and tricks from the butcher on how to best prepare your meal. They also sell bread, frozen pastas/sauces, sides, condiments, coffee and some vegetables. You could certainly get a whole meal here if you liked. If you live near Fuquay, consider stopping in and making it an alternative to supermarket meats.

Not open 7 days a week. Not sure why a new business wanting to make a name for itself would limit the days it is open. Meat goes bad quickly enough, why not give an additional day for the business to sell that meat. Might be more interested if this business opens for every day of the week.

We went here for the first time this weekend and bought several items, a huge rib-eye, Italian sausage and bacon. We are huge seafood lovers but were just at the beach and had brought some goodies back with us so we will be returning soon to try their fish. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and everyone we talked to was very helpful! The man behind the meat counter had great suggestions and was very knowledgeable about their products. The rib-eye wasn’t cheap but costs what you would expect to pay at a butcher with quality meat. I would rather pay a little bit more to have my meat come from smaller farms and be hormone and antibiotic free. We checked out at the counter and talked to people that were possibly the owners, they were also very friendly. They also had a 5% off special that we received since it is October and I was wearing pink! We’re so excited to have another awesome small business in the area! We grilled the rib-eye last night and it was absolutely phenomenal, my husband kept raving that it was the best rib-eye he’s had in a long time. I also made a creamy sausage, kale and potato soup the night before and that turned out amazing as well, I am not always the biggest fan of sausage but the quality of this was awesome.
