Tully’s Coffee

Three inside tables and one coffee bar table with two seats makes this location fairly small. there are three outdoor tables. I found two plugs. The bread and breakfast black ice tea was not really to my liking. Staff is friendly and parking is super easy.
Not a very good place to study and I did not care much for the tea. It is newer and nice inside but a tad small. I would come here again if I lived close to pick up a coffee to go, but would not expect too much. For the cost, I might just go to a cheaper place like McDonalds or 7 – 11. I drank two sips of the tea and left.
Also, they put that darn tip bowl out so you end up spending 3 bucks for an ice tea. Wifi is free! The code is their phone number.

I’m surprised this place got bought out a couple years ago. Not that it matters. Tullys coffee & starbux are basically the same. It’s about sweet drinks and sugar, NOT coffee.

Too bad the patio is no longer a smoking section. I frequented this starbux/​tullys on a 3−5x per week since it’s in the middle of my commmute to the shop.
This was a nice place to grab a morning stogie, some coffee and the labtop work but no mas.

I am a Starbucks person generally because it’s the same wherever you are at. Expensive for a frappucino or latte and usually very caloric. I like that they offer the lite option, which Tully’s doesn’t. It’s really the only downside to going there as opposed to Starbucks, but Tully’s has a bigger selection of teas. I know it’s a coffee place, but sometimes I need a break from the caffeine rush and high sugar in-​take from the coffee drinks. With Starbucks, there are only 3 that I definitely know of, but Tully’s has at least half a dozen selections.
The prices match Starbucks across the menu, which is why (along with no «lite» options) I gave 4 stars. However, Tully’s does offer discounts on combos. I wanted to try a caffe bun one day and got a tall coffee for a dollar with it. Coffee was ok, but the caffe bun was really good! It has a rich, buttery center that is probably just as good for you as grandma’s apple pie with ice cream on Thanksgiving after all the turkey and mashed potatoes, but so what? You won’t regret it. The staff bakes a batch of them every morning in the prep area so you know it’s going to be fresh. The bakery items are very good too. Little pricey, but they do offer different things than Starbucks and are discounted after 4 pm if you’re headed to work for an evening shift and need a quick bite to eat.
Overall, it’s a good place to hang out at. The staff enjoys working and builds rapport with the client. Starbucks rushes you because there are other people waiting but Tully’s staff will chat. It’s quieter than Starbucks if you need a place to work during a lunch break and home is too far away. The wi-​fi connection is more choppy for me than at Starbucks, but I will also take a book down there and read with a coffee and caffe bun to snack on just because the atmosphere is more laid back. The place is only a mile from where I live so I can walk there and get some exercise too.

The store is a huge improvement over the Starbucks that was once in the same location. The coffee and the Café Buns are fantastic, but for me, everything revolves around service. To fully understand the 5 star care you recieve from Lindsay the store manager and his staff, please make the trek and give them a shot.

When it comes to the ubiquitous coffee shop category, I’m pretty much a Starbucks guy. However, based upon the pastry case alone, I could easily see myself becoming a Tully’s man.
The coffee itself is decent, very close to what you might find at Coffee Bean. I’m not really crazy about their sweet flavored drinks, which are caffeinated desserts more than anything else, but as I said already I’m a Starbucks guy.
The citrus loaf, the fig oatmeal bar, the egg salad sandwiches, the cookies, the multigrain scone: all are outstanding. I actually think the level of quality of their pastries is superior to all the coffee shops out there.
But what really distinguishes this store is the outstanding staff. I have been a customer on a fairly regular basis for the past year or so, and I have always been impressed by how friendly everyone is. Now we have all had good service at coffee shops, but never have I consistently had excellent service. Clearly the staff enjoys working here, and it shows. Must be the free pastries.

My rating is only A-​OK, because I just ordered a brewed coffee from here and it was A-​OK just because brewed coffee everywhere is just A-​OK, however, it was very cheap given it was only $ 2 for a venti brewed coffee as opposed to Starbuck’s Pike Roast that is $ 1 for a small cup.
You also get a student discount if you go to CSUF :)

I was introduced to Tully’s a couple months ago, and I am so glad that we met ;] I admittedly go to Starbucks often because where I live its either that or Coffee Bean in close proximity since Gloria Jean’s closed. Starbucks gets a bit tiring and I’m not a fan of the soy milk used or their house coffee.
I go here almost every weekend since my first time there. It has a very warm atmosphere, I like that its more suitable for a small crowd. Most of the time I go in here there are usually families or students working on school work. The music played in here is always entertaining, I’ve heard French Pop, Hip Hop, Light rock less talk, nice background noise to have on while I’m reading or chatting with any of the friendly baristas.
Best barista to get, hands down. is Randi! The pretty blonde girl with the Lost button: P. She even made me my own custom made latte. Its a double shot espresso with a couple pumps of white chocolate syrup and some soy milk. Its called the Belle Latte. Must try! It’s a great pick-​me-​up when you’re tired or faded. :) I also love the London Fog Tea Latte AND they use Oregon Chai (i think) for their drinks as well… which is def a plus.
The pastries here are also delicious. I love the Caffe Buns. they kind of remind me of a hawaiian roll with butter in the middle, then baked with a coffee flavored frosting on top… seriously so good. Gotta accompany your drink with one of these.
I love this place and enjoy hanging out here, the baristas are so sweet and helpful (Amber/​Randi) are my favorites. Come here when these two are closing and you’ll be entertained ^_^

Tully’s is way better than Starbucks and comparable to Coffee Bean :)
I’ve never heard of Tully’s before until my friend started working there. I decided to stop by for a visit as well as try out their coffee drinks/​pastries.
I love the décor at Tully’s! It has such a nice cozy/​homey feel to it and is a great little place to sit around, study, and/​or chat with your friends (they offer free wi-​fi). They have a great selection of drinks to choose from on their menu as well as a good variety of bottled beverages. For those of you that like to count your calorie or are on a diet, they actually have calorie/​nutritional charts for their drinks on display!
I love their tea lattes! They carry a really intense tea flavor/​aroma, but yet very light in taste. I also tried an almond latte, which was also very good! I normally like my drinks a little less sweet and the barista’s there really know how to make their customers happy with a flawless drink!
They offer a good selection of delicious pastries, but one thing I thought set them apart from other coffee shops is that they carry PappaRich buns! I only know of a PappaRich in Pasadena. Definitely a mouth-​watering pastry that pairs well with your coffee/​tea. They also have these cute individual grinders that grind fresh cinnamon, chocolate, nutmeg, and also crushed peppermint bits that you can add to your drinks.
Here’s a tip: Look for the hot blonde barista named Randi. She has great customer service & has years of barista experience which means she makes THE BEST coffee/​tea drinks ever! x33

The barista’s here are syrupy sweet, it’s a cute little place that reminds me of asian people probably because they’re always camped out in front like a pack of wild hyenas. Anyways, Tully’s, great coffee, café bun has a maple taste and it’s warm and delicious. Try it with an Almond Latte. If you ask for a for here cup, some of the staff can make foam art. I’m totally envious.

Starbucks couldn’t survive in this location. I hope this place does better. I’ve been here a few times because it’s convenient. Sadly, I’d rather drive over to the It’s a Grind off Imperial and Beach.
There isn’t anything special about this place when it comes to the drinks. The pricing is on par with other coffee shops. I do see myself coming back here for that convenience factor. I just wouldn’t go out of my way to go here.
It may be different for you though. It is a quiet coffee shop, so I’m sure you could get a lot of studying done. It seems as though there’s more outdoor seating than indoor seating. Hope this helps!

Tully’s is awesome, Tasty, with a sprinkling of friendliness.
For Breakfast grab a pastry and your latte, but for Lunch grab a sandwich.
I enjoy having a Latte and a piece of Coffee Cake in the morning. The Cinnamon Coffee Cake is the best warmed up, and the Sandwiches are really tasty. Had the Turkey Club the other day and it was delicious on the squaw bread with the bacon and cheese. Yum.
Love the coffee, and can drink the Lattes without dosing it with tons of syrup.
My three gripes:
–They are not a 24 hours coffee house, but those are hard to find.
–Their Caramel is not the magical stuff the Starbucks Caramel is, which forces me to wander over to the Starbucks for the macchiato.
–They aren’t everywhere.

i like it better than starbucks, and about the same as i like coffee bean. :)
this location is close to my house and my favorite drink is the Caramel Macchiato.
i also had a chocolate muffin which was really good, and i’m tempted to try the fat free blueberry muffin. their pastry selection looks pretty yummy. :)

I love this place. I was kind of sad that the starbucks was gone, because it was my favorite starbucks location. I was hesitant to come into this place until I checked their menu. I like their choice of drinks. It’s very adult and kid friendly.
I am an avid coffee drinker so I like to taste the coffee freshly brewed. My favorite drink of all time is Café au Lait. I really liked starbucks version, but it’s a hit or miss. Because depending on the barista, your café au lait (or misto as starbucks call it) can be burnt or not hot enough. It’s hard to get it on the dot, but they’re a fast grab n go coffee shop. I can’t expect the highest quality.
The interior of this Tullys Coffee is really inviting and I am here right now and I’m enjoying it! There’s limited seating, but it’s a great layout. Instead of floating tables and chairs, there’s one seater benches with the tables to the side away from the customers in line. Great! I like my privacy.
The pricing is similar to Starbucks so no big whoop there.
I’m huge on being environmentally friendly, so I asked for my drink in a ceramic cup since I’ll be drinking it here. GREAT service. The barista was really friendly about it and asked me all the other options such as choice of milk, sweetened or not, and if I want foam, little or none. I uploaded 4 pictures or so. It’s a nice study place, so just go buy a cup of coffee and enjoy!

The staff here was so friendly and were very helpful in picking out a drink. That’s enough for me to go back right there since all who know me know that I am big on being nice to customers.
I enjoyed my hot drink and am basing my review off the coffee so I don’t get it when people give a coffee house two stars for being a lousy study hall. cause it is selling coffee not offering you a quiet study environment after all. But if someone can kill two birds with one stone then awesome. But I would definitely go back for the coffee.

Need a great cup of coffee and K-​Cups? Go Tullys!
I could not be happier to see Tullys open! Finally an alternative to Starbucks in the immediate vicinity.
I judge all coffee houses by their ristretto shots of espresso and americanos. Tullys did not disappoint! The baristas are excellent. They are attentive to all details and eager to brew you the best cup of coffee possible.
Like mocha? Try the dark chocolate mocha. It is rich in chocolate goodness without being overly sweet.
The baked goods and oatmeal will please the hungry patron in search of solids to go with their liquids.
If you have a Keurig coffee maker and need a variety of K-​cups to choose from, this is a must stop.
In summary, my coffee life is now back in sync; no more need to suffer through Starbucks hell. Tullys is a little slice of caffeine heaven.

This place just opened up two weeks ago, so a friend and I went to try it out as a study spot.
I got the pear ginger latte. It had the potential of being tasty, but it was too watered down and didn’t have much flavor. My friend and I sat and studied for an hours, but we both agreed that it wasn’t a place we would be eager to go back to.
