History

Established in 1969.

Our Story

Here is our story … We started our practice in 1969 and I was delighted when Dr. Grimes joined us in 1983. In 2012 Dr. Grimes and I were very happy to have Dr. Brandy Nunez join our practice. Tracy Vasquez, our manager, started as a student intern in 1975. I am fortunate to be caring for pets with Dr. Grimes, Tracy, Dr. Nunez, and our compassionate staff.

After practicing for 19 years in a nearby smaller office, we asked our clients what they wanted in a new facility and overwhelmingly they asked for boarding and grooming as well as veterinary care. In 1988, we opened the facility our clients sought which includes our veterinary practice, boarding and grooming.

We encourage clients to communicate with us so we can meet changing needs. Clients asked for a low cost vaccine clinic, we now offer low cost vaccines on Thursday mornings. Clients asked for CareCredit, we now offer Care Credit. Clients asked for boarding and grooming which we now offer.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Being the kid every stray followed home and the magnet for injured wildlife, of course I wanted to be an animal doctor. Fortunately, I had parents who let me make the lost and orphaned part of our family. I majored in Animal Husbandry in college and attended the University of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine. I do my best to treat animals and people, as I would want to be treated. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association (Practitioner Affiliate), California Veterinary Medical Association, and the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association. I have been a volunteer member of the Board of Trustees of the Animal Health Foundation since 1972. I enjoy walking our «used racing dog», Spy, gardening, reading and traveling.
