Subway

This subway is close to two main streets of orangethorpe and state college. It is in a little plaza area, but you can see it right off the street. Now since the little plaza added more parking spots, it gets really crammed and hard to park. The paces can get small, especially the room you have when you need to back up. If you have a big truck or SUV or worried aboit getting a door ding, there is a parking lot right next door by the sandwhich hut and you can walk across the grass.
Now after all that, this subway has great customer service, and the place is always kept clean. They always greet you with a nice smile, no matter how busy they may be. I like to order the 6″ tuna on wheat bread, or the Italian bmt. I love the $ 5 footlong deals so I can eat half for lunch and the other for dinner! Also love the rainy day specials! Happy eating :)

I been to several subways and I could say this is one of the cleanest subway I been to, I have never found a hair in my sandwiches. There Vegetables are really fresh unlike other subways, staff I guess it depends on the person. I had nice ones, funny one and quite ones but NEVER Rude Employee, we have good and bad days, but we’re all different, I don’t understand why people get very upset at the way of being! BEST SUBWAY OVER ALL, last thing there not stingy with there vegetables

Can’t give it 5 stars because well… it’s Subway. I was pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff however. Paul and Eric were friendly and patient with my order… Cracked a few jokes with me This one just happened to be on the way to my moms house… And other than the friendly staff… This is your standard chain subway.

The saddest Subway employees ever. Not one smile from the employees. It wasn’t even busy, and each one looked sad. You pay for the food, and not for the smiles and customer service. Five more minutes inside and I would of felt like jumping off a cliff or in front of speeding traffic!

My wife and I were out for the afternoon after an exhausting workout. We decided that Subway has great food and good for you. This is the place to come. Brian served us scrumptilicious sandwiches. As always, he greeted us with a smile and an eagerness to serve. This is one of our favorite Subways. We’ll keep coming back like bad pennies and a broken record (vinyl)!!!

Sayjal is the best gal there. She makes your sandwich or whatever you choose with care. Sayjal is alway happy to see her customers. It’s the only subway we prefer. I love the fact that when our family goes there she does not just slam the sandwich together. She makes everything exactly how you would make it yourself at home. So yes because of Saygal it’s a 5 star Subway shop! If anybody reads this, should you go there say «Hi» from the 7pm gals from Hacienda senior park just down the street. Lol

like the others have said the employees dont look like they want to be there. they have that someone stepped in horse sh! t look. the food was fresh and breakfast was good but just imagine how much better this place can be. location isn’t the greatest but its convenient if im late for work. If I got the time i usually roll to grill boy/​the grill for a bacon breakfast burrito.

this place recently changed their management, I was very close to leaving after i saw the facial expressions of the people working here, it’s like entering a funeral, SMILE, it’s not that serious! the people who worked here before the change were actually friendly.
anyway, tried this location twice since then, and every time my sandwich tasted not like i’m used to.
The chicken and beef tasted kinda old here, also they are very stingy with the veggies, i had to ask for more onions after she put about 2 – 3 pieces on a foot long.

Clean environment, friendly staff and overall a good experience. I will be coming to this location again if i crave subway during my lunch.

Okay, so. its gettin close to lunch time and some co-​workers and I are discussing the usual, ‘what do you wanna eat’ topic, and I suggest subway. I had heard about their app. It allows you to order your food online, and come in, pick it up, and pay. So I did that, go pick it up, they even allow me to use a coupon. And give me a free cookie for ordering on line. I ordered the meatball sub, always delicious.
I really do like the app. Its very useful, and even allows you to do a speedy check out if you don’t want to register right then and there.

When I walked in I was assaulted by LOUD rap music with offensive lyrics. I could barely hear anything the man said to me, and had to shout for him to hear my order. I’ve never in my life had such an amazingly unpleasant experience in a restaurant, even one with low expectations like subway. I will definitely not be coming to this location again. My poor ears and brain.

Most unfriendly staff of any subway I’ve been to. Consistently.

Well this is your average subway. They have all the regular grub you expect from subway.
Its always decent rarely excellent. I know that the subway artists are decent. But they do not go to the extent that some locations do. At one point I was a regular here and no one ever bothered to ask my name etc, very disappointing.
Pro Tip: Watch for coupons in your mailbox or online and the monthly special… right now its $ 5 buck footlongs.
I am very happy with the warm subs over the cold ones. I especially like that they now carry spinach for their sammies. After they added the flatbread, I started to get that in lieu of all of their other breads. Prior to that I really enjoyed the Italian as it was covered in herbs and quite tasty.
Just know that nothing is bad here it is always clean and its just your average subway. Worth stopping at if you need a bite to eat. If you want something special, well this isnt where you go.

*disclaimer… even though subway corporate has promotions of «every foot long is five dollars» this location will not honor it. They are what’s referenced as «participating locations only». This one chooses not to participate. About the only thing you can get here for $ 5 is the veggie delight which lucky for me is all I get at subway thanks to the wonderful combination of pickled stuff.
I like subway, but if you’re looking to take advantage of promotions go to another location. Nice thing about this one though is plenty of parking and a large dining room compared to others in the area. Staff is friendly too. I’m giving it two stars since «I’ve experienced better» subways.

Where did the old staff go? The sandwich makers are suddenly friendly here. All of the sudden I’m greeted with smiles and hellos instead of having to wait with my nose to the glass for 10 minutes. No more hootin’ and hollerin’ to the back to get someone’s attention. This is a nice change.
Aside than the newly upgraded staff, the entire plaza recently underwent a face lift so all the buildings look nice and approachable. I’m lovin’ the changes.
+ Good attitudes :) Makes a huge difference, honestly. The change in staff shocked me enough to update my review and add a star.
