Huey is the best DJ that I’ve ever met. He turns my wedding to an absolutely amazing party. No one wants to leave the dance floor until the last minute. He reads the crowd very well; all of his games is very entertaining and challenging. My friend decided to hire him for her weeding immediately after she went to my wedding. Thanks to him, people still talk about how fun my wedding was.

My husband and I needed a bilingual (Vietnamese and English) MC/​band/​DJ. I have been to many Vietnamese weddings and did not want to go with the traditional Vietnamese live band. It’s just not our thing. We met with Huey twice over the year and communicated with him frequently through emails. He was always responsive and helpful. Huey referred me to the florist and photographer we booked for the wedding as well.
Huey was always über professional. Unfortunately my father had a bit of a meltdown at the wedding and Huey handled it with grace and professionalism. He also stuck to his guns and his guns were actually our wishes. Huey took on the role of the bad guy so that my husband and I didn’t have to at our reception. For this we are forever grateful.
Huey did all of our draping, uplighting, pinspots for centerpieces, sweetheart canopy, and our fabphoto booth. I would recommend it all. It truly transformed the entire venue. We got so many compliments not only from our guests but from the staff as well. We went with the gold sequins for the fabphoto (backdrop with photographer so you can fit more people) and it was absolutely perfect. There was always a line.
Huey was amazing at reading the crowd and playing all the hits. People did not leave the dance floor.
I cannot say enough great things about Huey as I truly feel that our wedding was so much fun due in large part to him. I highly highly recommend him.

I highly recommend booking Huey for your wedding! I booked him for my August wedding and I still have guests from the wedding raving about how good he was. He’ll make sure everyone has a fun time. He was very professional and interactive with the crowd too and will guarantee he will get them on the dance floor. Just remember it’s very important to have a really good MC/​DJ. It’s what makes your wedding a more memorable event so you can sit back and enjoy while having the host take care of your night.

I booked DJ Huey for my wedding on April 27, 2014. For brides out there looking for a DJ/​MC who speaks both Vietnamese and English, I would recommend Huey. He came off as professional and he was good at keeping the energy of the crowd up with his music selections. He is not over-​the-​top and cheesy, like some wedding DJs tend to be. I liked this about him, but some older folks like my parents who are used to Asian weddings with tons of games and, well, cheesiness, thought he could have interacted more with the crowd. The style of my wedding was more elegant and subdued, so I felt he was still able to let the guests have fun without being that kind of in-​your-​face tacky MC that we’ve all seen before.
We met with Huey once prior to the wedding and he showed up on time and spent a lot of time with us, asking questions about our musical preferences and styles. After that, I didn’t interact much with him other than filling out a questionnaire he sent us with song requests and wedding day timeline. If you’re the kind of bride who has a ton of questions for her vendors and basically wants to be reassured that everything’s going to be okay, this is probably not your guy. He was slow to respond to e-​mails, and he said he would call us the week before the wedding to confirm details and he never did. My guess is he is popular and gets booked a lot, hence the slow correspondence. I didn’t mind too much because I’m more of a laid back person, but I can see how other people might get frustrated. In my mind, he delivered on the day of the wedding, which is what matters. When you talk to him, he is nice and personable, and he makes people feel comfortable. He accepted song requests, had great music, and showed up to the wedding well-​dressed.
So, all in all, one star off for lack of responsiveness and the need to interact more with the older Vietnamese crowd, but a solid four stars for professionalism the day of the wedding and for entertaining the younger crowd.

Huey is willing to drive and meet up wherever is most convenient for you. He has years of experience, but is still in tune with the current trends. He goes above and beyond to make sure it’s the party you’ve envision. He’s able to read the crowd, control the mood, and properly transition to the next event.

I was completely paranoid about picking a DJ for our special wedding day. Huey was the first and last DJ that we met and he made us both comfortable in booking his services. At first, we weren’t planning to decorate the venue. After talking with Huey, we are so glad we did. He helped us with the design of our custom gobo and gave us plenty of suggestion for décor. The venue was beautiful. We had pin spot lighting on all my handmade center pieces which bought out all the beauty and hard work that I put into it. He was able to understand our complicated vision, and implement it perfectly. One of the things that we wanted was to party… let’s just say that party lasted for a good 3 hours.
Overall, Huey is great to work with. His services is a little bit on the pricy end, but totally worth every penny. All our wedding guest, young and old really enjoyed our wedding with the help of Huey.

Okay, so I’m writing this to benefit brides and grooms out there looking for bilingual (vietnamese and english) DJs. We just booked Huey so i can’t give a detailed review of his Dj-​ing/​EC skills but that would come after the wedding. This review is to encourage you to give him a chance, call him and most likely book him :)
I initially had my a DJ in mind when planning my wedding. i’ve seen this particular DJ at another wedding and thought he was decent. When I met with the wedding coordinator at my venue I told her oh I am going to book so and so for my wedding. She went on to tell him that he was the cheesiest most difficult person to work with and suggested that i call Huey at Platinum Peaks. THANK BABY JESUS I did.
I was a little nervous about meeting with Huey because i did not know what to expect. Luckily Huey exceeded my expectations. First off Huey is extremely professional. We met him at a Starbucks and I was so impressed. First impressions mean a lot to me and boy did he deliver. I wasn’t expecting him to be wearing a Dress shirt and pants. Plus 1. He speaks english well. Plus 2. Understood the vision I am going for, plus 3.
My Fiancé is not vietnamese so it is really important that our wedding reflects the melding of our two cultures. He understands the desire and need to convey that this wedding isn’t all about my Vietnamese Heritage or not all about being completely «white» We need music to not only appeal to my older vietnamese family but to my fiances family as well as our friends. He made a point that music does transcend cultures and he could find a happy medium for us. Thank goodness.
He is well versed in all types of music and understands that weddings are stressful events. He is extremely organized and he never takes him more than a day to respond to emails. Don’t hesitate! Call him and you will not be sorry!

We had our wedding on August 24, 2013 and I must say DJ Huey was beyond impressive. Not only is he extremely professional, he’s probably the best vendor I’ve ever worked with!
He was extremely energetic at our wedding and all the guests loved him, even my parents and all the elderly guests! The activities that Huey facilitated really entertained everyone and he really has a good feel for the crowd and what they like. It’s nice to sit back and just let him do the work, he was even better at lining up our wedding party than my coordinator was.
