Pinnacle at Fullerton

My wife and I have been living in our 1 bedroom apartment for little over half a year. We’ve been very pleased with our decision to live here.
Apartment: Our apartment was professionally cleaned prior to our move-​in and there wasn’t any damage. All appliances and utilities worked and continue to work flawlessly. All appliances, counter tops and cabinets were recently updated. I especially like the open floor plan and the 9 foot ceilings. The large windows let in tons of natural light. When the windows are open, they provide ample ventilation for natural cooling. The walls seem to be well insulated as I rarely hear my neighbors. The amount of storage space works well for my wife and I, but may be a little tight for larger families that opt for a one bedroom. The entire complex is quiet most of the time. My one complaint is that management currently allows residents to smoke on their balconies. The smoke invariably wafts into our apartment every time one of our neighbors lights up. It’s not that big of an issue as I just close the windows when it happens, but it gets annoying at times.
Utilities: Electricity usually runs around $ 20/​month. Gas usually runs around $ 18/​month. Water/​Sewage/​Trash is consistently around $ 70/​month. TWC is the available internet/​cable provider. My one complaint is that the water/​sewage/​trash billing is managed by a third party company that charges the residents a $ 5/​month service fee. I think it seems more appropriate that the cost of having the convenience of a third party billing service should be covered by the utility provider and not the residents themselves.
Amenities: The saltwater pool, hot tub, and pool area are excellent and always clean. I’ve especially enjoyed the large high quality barbecues that are available at no extra cost. They are well maintained and clean. The gym has most of the equipment that the average person would use and is always clean. The grounds are overall well kept and clean. One feature I especially enjoy are the trash shoots available on each floor as there is no need to walk a long distance to throw trash out into a smelly dumpster. The building has key card access and parking is subterranean and gated.
Management: As other reviewers have pointed out, management is top notch here. Professional, friendly, welcoming, and always going out of their way to provide the best service. All repairs I’ve requested have been fulfilled within 24 hours. They are also on top of sending out emails and posting reminders in advance of any building maintenance. The consistency I’ve experienced with them shows me that they care about their residents.
Location: The location couldn’t be better. Two blocks away from downtown Fullerton which has tons of restaurants, bars, theaters and shops. The nightlife is great. Being two blocks away is also nice since it adds some distance to drown out the noise of the nightlife. Pinnacle is also just two blocks away from the Fullerton train station where you can catch both the Metrolink and Amtrak. AMC Dine-​In Theaters and Costco are less than a mile away.
Overall, Pinnacle at Fullerton is one of the top places to rent an apartment in Fullerton.

I have lived here for about 2 and a half years and I truly love the community here. Lisa and Tim and the rest of the office are great to work with and are very attentive to the needs of the community. When I come home each night, I have peace of mind that me and my family are safe. The area is great for night life and the community is just far enough away from all the noise if you want some tranquility.

We recently moved to the Pinnacle apartments due to an emergency situation. The office team of Lisa and Tim were extremely helpful and friendly, and helped us out with all the details of getting us moved in quickly. After we moved in, the maintenance team (Tony, Alberto, and Carlos) were very responsive to helping us with whatever we needed, and were extremely friendly while assisting us. The entire team’s can-​do attitude made the process painless, which really helped when we were under stress. Thank you Pinnacle team!

Awesome place. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because of the noise level and college-​type atmosphere, which is not the management’s fault! Also, some people may enjoy this vibe of younger party people!
The management seriously could not be better. Anytime I need anything, they are extremely helpful with no questions asked. I have needed extra keys, extra parking passes, anything, and they have helped me out in a timely manner! Moving in was a breeze with no issues at all. Additionally, I needed an emergency maintenance job done during Thanksgiving season, and they sent an INCREDIBLE maintenance worker to my house who fixed the problem AND fixed a bunch of other problems that I hadn’t even called in for, no questions asked! Nice guy too.
I would definitely recommend living here. I have lived in apartments with nightmare managements (most management teams are, in my opinion!), and this is truly a diamond in the rough. Tim and Amy are especially wonderful. You won’t find a team as kind and respectful as these guys!

My fiancée and I have lived here about a year and a half and have found it very comfortable with the management team playing a huge role in that comfort. Anytime we need anything, be it a package put inside our apartment or resolution of a maintenance issue, we know we can count on the leasing office representatives to come through — Tim is especially helpful and always greets our requests with positivity and no hesitation.
As for the complex itself, it is updated with great amenities (e.g., swimming pool area, fitness center, business center, etc.) and the location is superb being that it is steps away from the heart of Downtown Fullerton and a few minutes walk away from the Fullerton Station in case you commute into Downtown LA or would like to catch the Ducks’/Angels’ game and don’t want to deal with driving or parking. Next point — parking — the parking at the complex is great with gated, underground parking reserved for residents and ample guest parking. We rarely have any trouble with our guests finding parking even for an overnight stay.
One note is that it is located near a heavily used fire station, so if you are a light sleeper or would be bothered by an occasional siren, you might want to consider leasing a unit that does not face Commonwealth Avenue. However, I should mention the construction of the units is pretty solid given the mixed-​use component of retail on the ground floor — with windows and doors closed, the sound attenuation is pretty good.
We have enjoyed our experience and would recommend Pinnacle at Fullerton to anyone looking for a great rental opportunity!

Have lived here for almost 1 year now in a 1bd/​1ba. It has a nice location in Downtown Fullerton near shops/​restaurants within walking distance. The leasing office has been friendly during my stay and has been helpful with my transition as I am leaving after my lease expires.
Pros:
— Good downtown location near businesses
— Friendly staff and groundskeepers
— Washer/​dryer in apartment
— Central heat/​air conditioning
— Gym, club house, pool, and bbq area available
— Covered, gated parking and available guest parking
Cons:
— Noise (If you live on the Commonwealth side of the building you will hear a lot of street traffic, though this is pretty much expected due to living downtown. The fire department is also down the street and you will hear the sirens multiple times per day depending on how many incidents they have to respond to.)
— Can be pricey (After living here 1 year, management wanted to increase my rent by $ 125/​mo. Prices in general for the area seem to have increased from when I first signed my lease, so for a single person living here it can be quite costly.)
Overall, Pinnacle at Fullerton is a great place to stay for those wishing to live a downtown lifestyle. The apartments are updated and comfortable to come home to after a day of work/​school. If you have multiple people you want to live with it can be a very reasonable price for living downtown, otherwise expect to pay a decent amount. The sirens can get annoying depending on where your apartment is located, but closing the windows does help cut down on the noise.

I have lived here since March 2009. I have nothing but good things to say about living here.
I’m a huge fan of the Maintenence Crew. I’ve never had an issue that wasn’t resolved swiftly and to my satisfaction. Tony, you are the best!
The office staff has always been very friendly. They are knowledgeable and if one of them says they will get back to you, they do. Tim is the greatest! Naomi is no longer here but she was also helpful and knowledgeable. All of my interactions with Cynthia have been professional and helpful as well.
I have heard people complain about noise and it has not really been an issue for me. I don’t face the pool, the area I hear the most complaints about. Sometimes people have their music turned up but only one renter had it up so loud it rattled my walls and scared my cats. That renter was not here very long. That was the only time I’ve ever complained about someone.
There is an issue on my floor with trash right now. A person or people seem to think they are above throwing their trash in the chute. It is deposited on the floor inside and outside of the room with the chute. Don’t know what they can do about this but…
Also I love the gym! Well equipped and for the most part not crowded at all. I have lost a substantial amount of weight using that equipment.
I really like living here and hope I can stay for a long time

Tim Collins. Tim Collins. Tim Collins. Tim Collins. Tim. Collins. This complex is seriously amazing. It’s gorgeous and the staff and residents are awesome. But I do have to say… Tim Collins. He’s literally sold me on this place… and since then has provided me with WORLD CLASS service ever since. If you’re thinking of moving in here… go see him.

I’ve lived here about 4 years now and find the area and management pretty amazing.
As far as the area, everything is so convienient. From resturants to the post office to the night life. There are always things to do around the area and it never leaves for a dull moment.
The apartment is very updated and the amenities are perfect. Gym, pool, bbq and you can even get the guest room to hold events. The floor plans are great, with washers/​dryers in the apartment, dishwasher and more cabinet and closet space than we need.
Tim Collins, who was the person that not only showed us around but sold us on the very 1^st meeting. Usually, most agents sell people on a place and you never hear from the, again. Tim is the exception. He remembers names and really attends to a tenants needs and concerns.
If you’re ever thinking of apartment hunting stop by and ask for Tim. Awesome service and knowledge.

Pinnacle at Fullerton met my criteria and my expectations. Although the rent is a little high for Fullerton, some things are worth paying extra for. The renters are mainly young, working professionals, with students scattered here and there. The noise level is never disturbing, but simply what is to be expected when you live in an apartment building.

I’ve lived here for almost 3 months now and I couldn’t be more pleased.
Going through a big transition in my life, I was hesitant to move from a house to an apartment, however, I heard amazing things about this place and was referred to Tim. He is awesome. After my tour, he somehow convinced me that this community was perfect for me and he was right!
I love all the upgraded appliances, washer and dryer, pool and basically everything about this complex. Its clean, quiet and the upkeep on the grounds is above par. I enjoy all the ‘common areas’ quite a bit. The gym is small yet has enough equipment to get a decent workout in. It’s always clean, tidy and never smells (unlike most gyms… yuck). The clubhouse is big and has a full kitchen which is great if you want to rent it out for a small event. I love the tall tables and big BBQ’s outside too!
I’d have to say, one of the things I love most about living here is the accessibility to Downtown Fullerton. Wanna have a drink? Don’t worry about driving or calling an über because you will walk everywhere! There are several amazing restaurants, bars and cafes that are local. We walk constantly and enjoy the city.
Again, if you’re looking for a place in Fullerton, call Tim! He is friendly, helpful and follows through with everything he says. You’ll be happy and if you see me walking around, stop and say «Hey neighbor!»

I’ve lived here for about 3 months now & I’m loving my stay/​experience. I’m from LA, so you can imagine the vast differences between the apartments there & the apartments here. I was looking for a more modern/​building apartment unlike those two story/​duplex type. After looking all over, I was going to settle for City Pointe, but I came across the Pinnacle. I’m so glad I ended up here.
First of all, the apartment is very clean. I always run into the cleaning/​maintenance crew in the morning & they seem very hardworking. It’s also convenient to be able to post a work order when something isn’t functioning properly in the unit.
Second, the managers seem nice. Tim, in the leasing office, is very honest & hilarious. Naomi (who isn’t here anymore) was extremely nice & Cynthia is far beyond helpful. I actually stopped by the leasing office a couple days ago to pick up a package & I didn’t get her name, but one of the new members of the management seemed a little irritated that I couldn’t find the room with the packages & rushed me to sign the sheet. It was definitely an unpleasant experience considering how happy I was to finally pick up my package.
All my neighbors that I’ve encountered so far are very, very friendly. It’s nice to be able to have small talks here & there after having a hard day at work & coming home to an empty house.
Overall, besides that little incident in the leasing office, everything else is superb!
*update: continuous encounter with bugs both outside in the complex & inside my very unit.
UPDATE #2: Management has contacted me numerous times to fix this problem. I haven’t been able to reach back because of my schedule, but I’m glad someone is trying to reach out & help with the problem.

This is, without a doubt, the BEST apartment I have ever lived in. I just renewed my lease for the second year. Tim in the leasing office is always so helpful. His customer service is always on point. Tim has a great attitude and goes above and beyond to make the residents feel welcome and appreciated. He is always available to answer any questions I have. On the rare occasion I need to call for a maintenance request it is usually handled the same day! Tony does a lot of the maintenance work and he is awesome as well! Living at the Pinnacle in Fullerton is worth every penny. If you come by the office make sure you ask for Tim. You won’t be disappointed!

Love the Entire staff at Pinnacle at Fullerton!!! a big reason we renewed out lease was due to how great the entire staff here has been.

I am very happy that I moved to Pinnacle about 9 months ago. The entire management staff has been helpful from day one. Pinnacle has modern apartments with nice floor plans, high celings, washer/​dryer, dishwasher and refrigerator. Location in downtown Fullerton is perfect. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and coffee shops within walking distance. The Fullerton train station is a five minute walk away. Access to ⁹¹⁄₅₇ freeways is easy and close.
The salt water pool and jacuzzi are being resurfaced and will open within weeks. The fitness center needs an upgrade in equipment but has everything you would expect in an apartment fitness center. There is a nice clubhouse/​bbq area that can be used for parties.
Maintenance requests are handled very quickly and efficiently through an online request sytem. Residents have access to a secure covered/​underground parking structure. The ground floor retail spaces have recently been leased to a few new tenants including Pie Dog and Cloud Snow. I highly recommend living at Pinnacle.

I lived in this community for less than a year. The only reason why I moved was because I bought a condo. First — Tim & Naomi at awesome! When it came time to move before my lease was up they explained all my options and made the process very easy and care free.
Second — Fire Alarms — in the 9 months I was there it went off past midnight twice. The first time was due to a malfunction with leaking pipes. The management office was quick to respond with letters to everyone and emails. The second time was because some moron was smoking in the elevator.
Third — The community is pretty quiet for the most part. I never had any major issues or complaints. Sure, every now and then there was a loud apartment but very rare!
Overall the location is amazing! Within walking distance of dry cleaners, bars, restaurants, and rad coffee shops.

I love love love Tim, Naomi, and Cynthia! I lived there for about 6 months this last year of 2014 and had to move for personal reasons. However my stay at Pinnacle Apt. was great because of the wonderful leasing office staff. I enjoyed all the ammenities of course, but most of all I was very pleased with the hard-​working crew! These three individuals really care about their job and make sure to answer to their tenant’s concerns and questions. They are always professional! God bless them all!

I came from Japan last month, and I have been living at Pinnacle.
I am very satisfied with Pinnacle so far. Location is good, gym & pool are also good, and especially I like the salesman Mr. Timothy. I really think that I am very lucky that I could meet him in Fullerton. I am convinced that Timothy is the best salesman in the US !
You will be able to see it immediately once you meet him !

I debated between two and three stars for Pinnacle. If I was writing this a week ago, I’d give it three. But after the fire alarm situation (described below), I give it two. Overall, it is a decent apartment complex. However in the end, it’s the noise and fire alarm issues that prevent me from recommending this place. Here’s the pros and cons:
PROS:
Good location downtown and close to train
Good pool, clubhouse, small but ok gym
Apartments are in good condition
Maintenance guys are awesome, super helpful and responsive. I think the main guy is Tony – he rocks
Very safe and secure
CONS:
FALSE FIRE ALARMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. This is my main beef with Pinnacle. Just about every month, the fire alarm goes off during the day – and yes, it will go off inside every single apartment, as well as in the hallways. And a handful of times in the past year, this occurred between the hours of 1am-​4am. These were all false alarms. No actual fire. Most recently, alarms went off not once, but twice this week during those hours. When I asked Cynthia and Naomi (management/​leasing office) about it the next day, they said they would send a notice to everyone with an explanation the next morning. Well four days later – nothing. No explanation of what happened, no apology, nothing. UNACCEPTABLE.
Again, this complex is decent, but for the unfortunate reoccurring issue, and management’s unwillingness to address it. If you do still plan to move here, I recommend the top floor and inner units to avoid the noise that is unavoidable with urban living.
Fortunately we are moving to a house soon. But I will say, I’ll definitely miss the maintenance team when I’m trying to fix my own appliances.

I lived here for 3 years from 2010 – 2013. One of my main concerns when moving into so close to downtown fullerton was how loud the complex would be. The first two years in unit 240 was so quiet. The last year I moved to unit 231 and found it fine except for the noise upstairs. It sounded like college students– This is to be expected as it is near CSUF but I had become so aquainted to my peace and quiet. When I approached the staff with my concern they said all they could do was move my apartment. I def was not doing that! I continued to make noise complaints through the onsite security (which is amazingly responsive! and always there ²⁴⁄₇) and a few times through fullerton police. However, fullerton police became so monotonous since I had to agree to check in with the officer. Who wants to do that at 12am? As a result, most times I used the apartment security. I would say it was a 8 month battle that occured primarly on thurs-​sat. nights around 12−2am. If this is a concern, dont take this chance.
I had previously lived at the Renaissance apartments in Orange and I didn’t like how large that complex was. It had more people., which meant more weird people and cars speeding in the complex. So I knew I wanted a smaller complex. Living in a small complex had many benefits– less people, less noise, knowing your neighbors, familiarity ect. It could have some down sides for people– but it all depends on what types of things you look for when moving into an apartment.
I found the gym to be small, but never crowded. It contained all the things you could want — free weights, elipticals, treadmills, lat pulls, ect. Squat machine was missing along with some of the larger pieces of equipment. its about a 1000 sq ft room so its fairy small.
There is one pool, jacuzzi, and BBQ area that was kept very clean.
Even more horrible than the noise was the Doggie «area.»
During my last full year, of 2013 the doggie area was BEYOND unkempt. It could have been considered a legit biohazard people. For years they had poop bags put next to the area– that people were using. however, closer to 2013 they were gone and the place became a chemical war zone of poo and piss. When I emailed the staff, they told me that Non residents kept stealing them so it got to the point where they stopped refilling them due to the Pinnacle’s budget. Okay I can understand that, but at least pay someone to come bi weekly and pick up the mess or have the police scare some of them so they poop their pants with a big hefty expensive ticket!!!
Many of my neighbors did not clean up after their pets and I had to be the one to confront them about it.
I would say in the elevator to nearly everyone «Wow can you believe how disgusting some people are that don’t clean up their mess!» (Hoping it would spur people to start cleaning up!)
After we packed up and moved into our new house, we forgot our mezuzah (its basically a scroll of the commandments in the bible and is screwed into the outside door post) when my husband came back 2 days later and the staff said they had thrown it away. Wow thanks guys? I love you too.
