With over 34 years and 30,000 hours of counseling experience, Dr. Robbins has developed the ability to apply effective and efficient treatment to the areas of his specialty. His approach to therapy is interactive. He provides feedback to clients with clear and direct counsel and makes a point to avoid psychobabble and offers useful advice in plain English. He is down-​to-​earth and user friendly. Most of Dr. Robbins’ cases take less than 20 weeks for resolution.

Dr. Robbins founded Turning Point Counseling in 1983 and has established partnerships with local churches (40+) throughout Southern California providing onsite professional counseling. TPC has over 25 therapist and has trained over 500 marriage and family therapist during the past 30 years.

During the 1990’s, Dr. Robbins was the host, along with his ministry partner, Dr. Kevin Downing, of Journey of the Heart, a daily radio program heard on KKLA 99.5 FM.

Dr. Robbins is for the family.

From a restorative side and as a licensed clinical Psychologist and licensed Marriage & Family Therapist for the past 30+ years, he comes alongside individuals and couples to assist them with their life and relational challenges (Turning Point Counseling). His specialties are bringing couples back from the brink of divorce and helping parents with their out-​of-​control children and teens.

From a preventative side and as a Financial Advisor, he comes along side individuals and families to assist them with their bill pay and cash management challenges. He understands that the number one reason for divorce is money challenges. By assuring that families are managing their money well, family peace and wellness is maintained (Turning Point Stewardship & Turning Point Financial Advisors). He implements what Dave Ramsey, Crown Financial Ministries, and others teach on behalf of family. He becomes their family controller.
