I got married at the Malibou Lake Mountain Club last month and Anna, Colleen, and Belinda and the rest of the Parasol of Design crew did an AMAZING job. We initially hired them to be our day-​of coordinator, but discovered that they also do floral. All the other florists we got quotes from would only do the flowers we wanted for a minimum of $ 4,000 — WAY over our budget. Anna and her team were able to do flowers within our budget and they were gorgeous.
We had a UCLA/​California bohemian-​themed wedding. All our guests said that our wedding looked like it could have been straight out of a Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, and that was thanks to the details added by the ladies of Parasol of Design. The biggest thing for me was that I wanted to have California poppies in the flowers. Real ones would have been difficult since the petals fall off when you pick them. Colleen created the most beautiful tissue paper California poppies for our centerpieces — they looked better than the real thing!
I thought that a day-​of coordinator only handled things the day-​of the wedding, but Anna was in contact with us from six weeks before the wedding. She had everything to keep us organized: timelines, checklists, seating charts, the whole nine. I was 100% less stressed about planning knowing that I had someone who was as detail oriented and competent as Anna helping me. When the big day came, my husband and I were relaxed and we were able to enjoy every special moment. My guests could tell as well — they said our wedding was the only wedding they had been to that ran so smoothly and started on time!

I cannot speak highly enough about Parasol of Design. Anna, Belinda, Colleen, and the rest of their team for Parasol of Design are amazing! I got married at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo and had my reception at Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano. If anyone is looking for beautiful outdoor venues I would highly suggest these locations! I had so much fun planning all the aspects of my wedding. I am definitely a detailed-​oriented person and these ladies helped bring my vision to life. At the first sight of my ceremony I knew it was perfect. I was in such awe of how beautiful everything looked. The reception was just as perfect! From the flowers, to the lace intricacies, and the beautifully crafted centerpieces, I couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous wedding. These ladies are extremely talented at what they do. Not only are they super creative, but they really do listen to what you want and move mountains to make it happen. They were always on top of things and very responsive to any email, call, or concern I had. As of date, this was by far the best wedding I’ve been to (and I’m not just saying this because this was mine) Parasol of Design, thank you for making my wedding dreams come true!

From day-​of coordination at the church and reception venue, to hair/​makeup services, to all florals, Parasol was responsive to all my feedback and delivered everything beyond expectation. Flexibility was definitely a plus, as they were even able to help with a few last-​minute paper goods.
Parasol was always as excited as we were to plan our wedding, and it really came through in the level of detail. Needless to say, these ladies are highly recommended!

At the end of each event we work together (I am a wedding and portrait photographer), I walk away feeling like I need more of them in my life: more of their spirit, more of their panache, more of their energy, more of their passion, more of their charm, more of their effervescence, more of their attitude, just more of them!
I would choose to be a part of any team that included these women because I know the job would not only be done skillfully, artfully, tastefully, splendidly, and beautifully, but happily!!! These women LOVE their job and that is such a refreshing atmosphere to work in!

That pretty much sums up my experience with the ladies of Parasol of Design. Anna, Belinda, and Coleen helped us have the best wedding Kristin C. and myself could ever ask for.
Parasol provides planning services for any event. We opted to go with their full service wedding coordination package. Over the course of a year or so, we met with Parasol several times to discuss how we wanted our wedding to play out. Kristin and I are pretty lazy and we didn’t really come to the table with any ideas. Luckily, Parasol was able to provide a lot of ideas so all we had to do, generally, was say «Yes» or «No». They took most (if not all) of the stress of wedding planning away.
They provide a lot of wedding services in-​house: hair, makeup, concepts, planning, florals, etc. The list goes on and on. If they can’t do it themselves, they have enough connections in the wedding industry to refer you to a reputable vendor. They recommended our awesome photographer from Kamee June Photography.
Not sure what typical wedding planner prices are, but it didn’t matter because I can vouch that their services are worth every penny.

i consider myself a Type A/​planner kind of person, but i knew when it came to my own wedding that i didnt want to plan it myself haha. i’d much rather hire professionals to do it for me haha — and thats just what Parasol of Design brought to the table. The team of sisters: Anna, Belinda, and Colleen planned me and Justin B’s wedding from start to finish with awesome results!
We hired them on for full service coordinating and along the way asked them to do our all our flowers, décor, wedding favors, invitations, logo designs, styling, dessert bar, hotel accommodations, and the list goes on and on and on… haha. The convenience of Parasol handling all these services was such a great relief to me. i completely trusted them in all aspects of the planning process and knew that they would make everything look beautiful and fulfill our ‘vision’
Each sister has her own role at Parasol and each sister does her job well!
— Anna: the fearless Parasol leader haha… She is the primary contact for coordinating everything and for handling most of the wedding details. she is the go-​to girl to alleviate all the stress haha.
— Belinda: she will handle any hair, make-​up, or styling needs for you, your bridal party, family or friends. she is an amazing stylist and everyone was so pleased with how their hair and make-​up turned out for the wedding. we kept getting compliments all night :)
— Colleen: she is the queen of all trades haha. She’ll make the pick-​ups, arrange deliveries, or do whatever else that you may need. its so helpful and nice to have an extra hand around especially on the day of the wedding to remember things so that you dont have to haha
The three sisters all work so well together and everything seems so seamless. i’m pretty sure that we overwhelmed them with the amount of emails and questions that we had but they handled it all with ease and prompt responses. they were always on-​time if not early for each meeting that we had. we even had their personal cell numbers at our disposable if we needed it, but we rarely ever did :)
so yes hiring a full service wedding coordinator can be pricey but now after this wedding thing is over and done with haha, i can wholeheartedly say that it was SO WORTH IT! i was not stressed out at all, i didnt have to worry about the little details, and i think our wedding was pretty awesome (but of course im not biased at all: P). kudos to any bride that plans the wedding all by herself, but i’m not afraid to ask for help and i’m so glad that Parasol was there for us! :)

So I walk into my guest bedroom and there’s this bouquet of flowers hanging upside down from a string and I think to myself… …Parasol of Design did a fabulous job!
I never get my wife flowers only because she thinks that they’re a waste of money. She’d rather me spend money on something else for her. They live and they die so fast she says, but what she doesn’t recognize are the moments they’re in full bloom that mother nature has created something amazing full of color. These flowers light up our lives and can turn the mundane into extraordinary.
So to encounter her bouquet drying up as keepsake potpourri only meant one thing — she enjoyed her flowers and wanted to cherish them for a lifetime!
Our first meeting with Anna and Belinda from Parasol of Design was not of the normal meet and greet — it was more like an ad agency trying to finish a movie poster for a future Golden Globe Nominee! We were straight up gettin’ our collab’ on!
We thoroughly explained what we wanted — themed out urban city chic and BAM! Ideas were flowing out left and right — really good ideas that we should’ve had someone recording this so we wouldn’t miss a beat. Nonetheless we didn’t miss a beat.
Everything from cactus to roses to billy bobs…
Gold ribbon and silver ribbon…
Rectangle vases and cylindrical vases…
Risers to patterned runners…
Seasonal flowers to colored branches…
You name it, the idea was thrown out there…

So then we got our collab on again and started throwing out more ideas and because of how resourceful, creative & brilliant Anna and Belinda were, we were still able to pull this look off!!!
The whole team of POD was on our side to successfully create a night of floral brilliance! They showed up super early in the morning, lugging items from one area to the other, filling up vases of water, creating amazing centerpieces out of buckets of flowers, paid attention to detail by wiping off vases with microfiber towels, basically what you can think of and then some!!! Our guests were in complete shock and awe once they entered the reception venue — it was beautiful!!! I gotta tip my hat off to POD because they even cleaned up in the wee hours of the evening and made sure every piece of floral décor was off the venue’s floor — it was in our contract. So yeah, they’re highly professional, got a keen eye for helping you carry out the theme, resourceful on how to save money and still maintain a look, extremely hard working and can carry a smile that would never make the bride and groom feel uneasy. I highly recommend Anna and her team at Parasol of Design.

This is for a florist review and make-​up. Anna was great to work with and has a great eye and style! They are very reasonable as far as pricing. I highly recommend her, this company is a gem! She and her sisters are super sweet and trully want to help create your wedding dreams. Her other sister helped with make-​up for the wedding and did a great job too — home service too! :)

I want to be the first to post a 5 star review of POD on Unilocal and am happy to say that they did an outstanding job of making sure our wedding day plans went so smoothly. Things would have been so overwhelming without their help. And the candy buffet they setup was out of this world!
Bottom line is if you are having a wedding reception with more than 200 people in attendance then you’ve got to have a professional help you out to make things smooth and if you are in the so cal area POD is highly recommended. Thanks again for helping make our wedding day so smooth and memorable. =)
