All I can say is this… if you want an experienced craftsman, MillworkCraft is the company to call My experience with owner Aaron, was fabulous from start to finish. The completed piece (an addition to my existing wall unit) exceeded my expectations! MillworkCraft is exceptional!

Aaron is AMAZING!!! We had a more modern version of wainscoting build and installed in our new nursery, as well as a reclaimed wood beam for a mantel in our living room. He even sent us to this amazing place on Santa Ana to pick out our own beam. What a fun place and we got such a great deal with Aaron’s contractor discount. Everything looks gorgeous!!! He was quick, efficient, clean, and he so nice to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs any type of wood work done in their home. He also discovered an electrical short in one of our outlets in our nursery and I could not be more grateful for that as well. Thank you Aaron!!!

We wanted to have built in cabinetry/​shelving and a fireplace surround built in our family room. We got several estimates. I found Aaron on Unilocal and got in touch with him. He came out and met with us, and gave us a very fair estimate. He was up front about his schedule and let us know he was booked for several months. After meeting him and feeling comfortable with him doing such a large project for us, and because of his excellent reviews, we decided it was worth the wait. Several months later, I’m really glad we used him! Our built in cabinets and fireplace surround turned out stunning, and exactly how I designed them. The wood work was impeccable and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. In addition, I was incredibly impressed with his communication which was by far the best I’ve ever had with a contractor. He did a great job of listening to what we wanted, and executing it perfectly. I was also impressed at how quickly he worked. Overall, a perfect experience and if I ever need any wood work done, I will definitely use him again. I cannot praise him enough, he’s amazing!

I found Aaron here on Unilocal and since the reviews were so good I decided to use him for our built in project. He made a bench with drawers and hooks (like a mudroom would have) in an awkward spot in our home. I told him the look I was going for, and he really made it work perfectly. I was beyond happy with his work. I am super picky when it comes to the work done at our house… and we have had a lot done over the past year. We are def having him do the rest of the built ins for us! I highly recommend his work!

Aaron finished up a mantle for me just in time for Christmas! The only reason this post comes over a month later is because it took me a while to take a before/​after photo (please view the photos!).

Now here are the details of why he’s so great!:
I needed a woodworker to create a wrap-​around, fireplace mantle to replace the outdated-​looking, brick one that was probably original to our 70’s home. I reached out to 3 different woodworkers/​contractors. One of them was very pushy and tried to get me to decide within a couple of days because he had another job coming up (and his prices were a bit high). Another guy wouldn’t even return my phone calls, which was very disappointing because he had rave reviews on Unilocal.When I finally got a hold of someone from his business, he actually said to me, «We’re very busy. Maybe he’ll call you back and maybe not». WTF?! I was about to give up hope and resolve that I had to hire the jack-​of-​all-​trades contractor my parents were always trying to push on me with when Aaron returned my call!
We set up a time to meet at 8am so he could take a look at what he would potentially be working with. At exactly 8am he showed up, listened to what I wanted, and explained his thoughts. After receiving and agreeing to his bid, we arranged a start-​date a few months later because he was tied up with a bunch of projects. When his projects ran a little later due to the heavy rains this past winter, he was professional and courteous enough to let me know in advance and set up another time. This was huge to me! I’ve had contractors «forget» to call or let me know what was going on so that I ended up being the one having to follow up with them or was left wondering what was going on. He showed up as scheduled at exactly 7am with another woodworker so he could finish the project up in 2 days.
My husband and I basically took different design ideas from various mantles and sketched up what we wanted the mantle to resemble. Aaron was able to replicate exactly what we communicated with him. At one point, I wasn’t sure if I wanted the base of the mantle to be thinner (and we’re talking about ¼″ — a teeny-​tiny measurement!). Aaron gave me the option to make the base thinner if I really wanted to but explained why he thought it might look better a little thicker. I understood his reasoning and thought it made sense so I decided to trust his judgment. He still sensed my hesitance so he said he wouldn’t nail/​glue anything in and just hold things up to show me so that I could make a decision before he secured everything. And as promised, when the top of the mantle went up, everything looked perfectly proportional! I was VERY pleased that Aaron gave me the option to change whatever I wanted even though we ended up not having to change a thing. And seriously…¼ of an inch? You would think it’s not important, but Aaron was SO detailed that he understood the importance of even the tiniest measurements. I really loved that!
I definitely plan on calling Aaron again in the future when it comes time to replace our baseboards and install our crown moldings! I’m so relieved/​glad to have found an amazing woodworker and I won’t have to go through the trouble of finding one again!

I am an extremely picky when it comes to work done in my house. Aaron really came through and completed all the work to our satisfaction.
The project was to build cabinets, media, storage and a seating bench for for the playroom I have been dreaming up for years. I consulted with Aaron and at the time I had an idea but no exact plan in mind. He was patient and came up with a great plan and design. He was able to give great suggestions to keep the cost down yet make it look like a million bucks. Our built ins were especially challenging because the room has slanted ceilings and he built the cabinets to fit perfectly. So these look custom all the way!
Aaron is a skilled contractor and was always professional and communicated effectively during each phase of our project.
I am happy to say that we have amazing cabinets with great toy storage and it looks great. Our playroom is completely functional.
Also, I should add that although my husband is very selective of who he trusts to work in our home, he was instantly at ease with Aaron.

We did our entertainment center, crown moulding throughout the house, and some cabinetry work in our mini office area. Aaron did everything and a great job. He was very prompt, professional, and easy to work with. He was there every step of the way, answered all the questions we had and was there through it all. He referred us to a great painter who painted the moulding to a great finish! More than a year later we had the flex moulding in our entertainment center come off a bit. I contacted him and he replied right away, apologized and came the very next day to fix it no charge. Now that is excellent customer service! We highly recommend!

Aaron was great to work with! He installed some 60″ tall paneling in our pool table room and did a great job. He showed us a bunch of pictures to give us options on how high we wanted the paneling and kept us informed throughout the process. There was some unexpected electrical costs at the end that I wish we could have planned for but overall I would definitely use him again for future work.

Aaron did an excellent job on our crown molding. He was very informative throughout the entire process. Explained all of our options and was very forthright and honest.
We got about three quotes. Millwork wasn’t the cheapest, but I felt was the best value. I first chose him based on past reviews and he did not disappoint.
The installation went very smooth and without a hitch. His corners are very clean and professional. I had a very complicated section under my stairs that Aaron had to fashion a custom mount board to get the crown to sit right. He spent the extra time to get it right. In the end, very satisfied customers.

Great experience with Aaron and Millwork Craft. They did 60″ tall wainscoting in my office. Excellent contact from quote to finished product. The best compliment I can give is Aaron truly cares about a quality product, and exceeding the customer expectations. Very happy with final product, and am already thinking future projects to use him on. The only downside being he is just really busy. Expect a few weeks delay to get you project started.

Aaron did a fantastic job with our built-​in and we’ve received compliments from everyone who has visited our home.
I initially called a different contractor I found on Unilocal as he had more reviews. However, Aaron got the job because he was more responsive. Always a plus with a contractor. We had renovated a good portion of our house, but the living room was pretty bare save for a fireplace with some ugly tile work. I found a picture of a built-​in I like on Houzz and Aaron was able to replicate it and add his own touches that made it better than I imagined. He was thoughtful enough to add soft-​close hinges to our built-​in as he saw that we had a 2 year old-​running around.
I would recommend Aaron to anyone looking for some quality craftsmanship!

I had to modify 4 existing built-​ins in my new home. They were made of unstained cherry wood, with really dated mouldings and designs that would fit older model TVs (visualize grandma’s house). Just thinking about the old built-​ins makes me cringe.
Aaron’s mission was to spruce up the designs with new more classic/​modern mouldings and adjust one of the entertainment builtins to fit my newer model TV. Sounds easy enough but the original designer did some funky stuff (e.g. multiple levels of crown moulding, with competing designs, glued on leaves, dead end crowns, etc.) Oh and he had to do all this while juggling his other projects and working with my busy reno schedule and most importantly working around my finicky painter and his guys.
The result… awesome job. I’m very pleased with the finished product. He’s so talented, very precise with his lines.
I’ve worked with other carpenters and I have to say he’s been the best so far. He finished in a timely manner, went above and beyond to make the customer (that’s moi) happy. What more can you ask for?
Given my rushed schedule, I was unable to do all the woodwork I wanted so I’ll definitely be calling Aaron in the near future.

Long time Unilocal user, took the time to register simply to review this company. I had extensive baseboard and casing work done by Aaron through my entire home. He always showed up on time and took great care to make the job look awesome. You will find his pricing fair and his craftsmanship awesome. I am probably going to use him again to build a custom pantry. It’s borderline bromance… Look no further for your interior woodwork.

This is as good as it gets. Aaron is a true craftsman. A meticulous, skilled, «wood surgeon», with a great attitude and reasonably priced! He installed new moldings and baseboards in half our house and mastered some challenging office countertops. So happy with the result and can’t wait to have him back to finish the rest of the house. Seriously, look no further.

We bought a fixer-​upper and in the past decade, I’ve hired numerous contractors. Most don’t even make the would-​I-​recommend list (and by most, I mean 95%), and some have even warranted BBB complaints. So when it came time to hire someone to do finish work, I knew my uncompromising eye for detail would be tested. I interviewed several people for the job, but Aaron’s passion for his craft and his self-​confessed perfectionism made him the winner. It took 6 weeks to schedule me in and he’s definitely worth the wait. Very easy to work with and the quality is superb. Above it all, he is a genuinely nice guy and very trustworthy.
Aaron re-​did a column that another woodwork guy massacred, crown molding, staircase (showed him a picture and he matched it to a tee), and interior doors. The painters are here and they better not screw up his work (another find on Unilocal and a review will be forthcoming)! This project was just the beginning… next year it will be fireplace and bookshelves… the year after it will be custom cabinets… the year after…
Look no further, Aaron is the real deal and I highly recommend him.

Aaron of MillworkCraft is an amazing contractor. Aaron has done several jobs for me on two houses. His work, deligence, dependability, and professionalism set him to the highest standard of contractors. He has installed Crown Molding and baseboards throughout both homes, and in our newest home, he did some very custom work around the fireplaces in the dining room area as well as the living room area.
After (nearly) completely renovating two houses in a little over 3 years time, I have definately dealt wih a lot of contractors and would recommend Aaron to anyone.

I have hired innumerable contactors over the years and have (over) improved every home I have owned… this one is no exception.
I had Aaron install wainscoting in our great room. For $ 2,000 he has transformed our room from ho-​hum to elegant. In less than 4 days he installed over 40 feet of 42 inch high wainscoting… he was meticulous, considerate, friendly and first rate. The gentleman painting the work was so impressed he asked for his buisness card and he has been in the painting business over 20 years.
If Unilocal works, (and I know it does) Aaron will not want for work for the rest of his life. I have a theory that if you do something better than anyone else, and charge a reasonable fee for your expertise… the world will beat a path to your door. I recommend getting to Aaron first before the line becomes too long if you are looking for a great carpenter.

We had Aaron come into install crown moulding and chair rail for our house in November 2012.
I had 2 people come in for bids, and although his price was lower then the other company, I picked him since I felt comfortable talking to him, and his knowledge and responses to questions was outstanding.
He installed moulding in 7 rooms and chair rail in 3 rooms, over the course of approximately a week. He made an effort to keep the dust/​dirt to a minimum and was conscientious about not damaging our wood floors. At the end the work looked great and there weren’t any seams where the moulding came together. He also recommended a painter to do the caulking/​painting after he was done, who did a great job. We definitely recommend him to anyone else who needs moulding or custom woodwork.

Excellent work and service! Aaron installed flex-​moulding inside an oval at my home. I had this moulding installed previously, but it was installed incorrectly and I had to tear it down replace it with new moulding. Aaron was very meticulous with thes installation. His measurements workmanship are precise. He he is a true craftsman! He puts down paper around his work area and is very clean, during and after he completes the job. He is professional, polite and prompt. I spoke with many others before hiring Aaron. The difference is night and day. Highly recommend him!

We hired Aaron to build a custom bookcase for a second story space and he did a fantastic job. We got 4 quotes for the job and his price was very reasonable, right in the middle of the others. He is a meticulous worker, very polite and conscientious (he cleaned our front yard every day when he was done!) It is obvious that he is very skilled at what he does and was able to make great suggestions when we didn’t know exactly what we wanted. The bookcase came out beautifully and we wil definitely use Aaron and his company again in the future!
