This is by far the only place that wasn’t pushy about buying their glasses. The place was very clean and the staff was amazing. Dr. Brewer was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I will be making appointments for my entire family. Highly recommend this place.

I’ve been coming to Fullerton Eyes Optometry for the past couple years and it’s always been a great experience. Dr. Jan and Dr. Brewer are very knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable throughout your exam. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great customer service. Highly recommended this place.

This is the only place that trust. I’ve been using this place for over 4 yours. The staff greets with a warm smile even when you’re picking up your glasses 10 mins ’til closing time. The doctors are nice and never rush you.

I had a great experience seeing Dr. Jan for an eye exam and contact lens fitting. She was very thorough and patient, explaining the purpose of each part of the exam and repeating the whole «1 or 2, 3 or 4» part as many times as I needed when I was unsure (I feel like some optometrists rush through it so that was nice). I really felt like she cared about my eye health and recommended the appropriate contact lenses for my lifestyle. The staff was also super warm and courteous, even offering to tighten my glasses when I mentioned they were loose. Highly recommend this office!

Dr. Jan very unprofessional. She will not write you a prescription unless you purchase them through her office… Will NEVER step a foot into her office ever again! The staff is very nice but Dr. Jan is UNPROFESSIONAL. Don’t bother going to this office your better off at the Costco optical center. The doctor at the Costco on harbor and orangethrope knows his stuff.

I never leave reviews on Unilocal,but this place was so good that I really felt compelled to leave one!
I’ve only been to one optometrist before Dr. Jan in my entire life, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff were extremely friendly, though, and they made me feel so comfortable during my first visit. On top of that, they were very clear in explaining what benefits I was eligible for with my health care plan, as well as how to maximize my benefits. It was nice to see that they weren’t trying to find loopholes to get more money out of me — they genuinely cared that I was getting the best service possible.
As for Dr. Jan, she was extremely nice and I felt like everything was explained so clearly that I had no questions for her at the end of my appointment! Today was my second visit for a follow-​up, and everything was still perfectly clear. At my last optometrist, I always felt a bit confused after, but I really felt like I was taken care of here and I’ll definitely continue to come back as long as my health care covers it! I even convinced my dad to check her out soon, this place really is wonderful! :)

Absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and personable. I had a great time talking to everyone.
Dr. Jan has amazing attention to detail – from describing everything she was doing to pointing out that I had a scratch on my contact lenses I had not even noticed. She even took the time to help remove what I think was an abscess on my eyelid (I actually don’t remember what it was called).
I got my contact lenses shipped to me in San Francisco, and the office followed up to make sure I got everything I ordered.
Looking for eye care? This is the place to go. They really care.

Came here for an eye exam on Monday and not only were the front office assistants speedy with my registration, but they were also very pleasant.
For me being a first time patient, Dr. Carmen Yoo was polite, sincere and very complete in her assessment of my optical history and getting to the root of my issues.
I felt I needed to return two days later, on Wednesday, because I started seeing flashes in my left eye and though last minute, her staff went ahead and scheduled me again.
I am truly thankful to her for seeing me with such short notice. She is wonderful.

Dr. Carmen Jan is the best optometrist! She is very thorough with her exams and takes her time to explain everything to you. She takes her time and lets you know play by play what she is doing, so you are prepared and know what to expect so there is no surprise. She answered all my questions and didn’t rush me, like many other Dr.‘s do.
She and her staff are very knowledgeable about health benefits as well. All you need to do is give them the info when you make your appointment and they do all the leg work for you. By the time you show up for your appointment, they know exactly what is covered and try to work within your coverage/​benefits. So if you are unsure, just give them a call and they can get back to you within 24 hours or less on what your plan covers.
The overall service at this practice is phenomenal! They call you before your appointment to confirm, and then after your exam once you receive your glasses, they call to make sure everything is to your liking and if you have any questions. She was wonderful with my mom and made her feel really comfortable because my mom has had lots of bad Dr.‘s prior to visiting Dr. Jan. She had issues with her eyes and Dr. Jan was able to diagnose her problem and resolve it by putting plugs in her ducts. Since then, my mom has not had any problems with her eyes and we will definitely be coming back to Dr. Jan for our yearly eye exams.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Carmen Jan to anyone looking for an optometrist for themselves or their family.

I LOVE Dr. Jan! I have never had such a thorough examination. And she is so patient. Her staff is great and really helped me choose glasses from her wonderful selection. Her office is so new and clean. And when I had a problem with my eye and wanted an opinion, she answered the phone and talked with me. It was great. I even asked her about my dog’s eye problem, LOL.

Of all the different doctors of all different types that I’ve visited in my life, Dr. Jan is my very favorite.
When you go see Dr. Jan you don’t feel you are being rushed through a revolving door of patients. She takes time with you and really cares about you. She makes the time to tell you what she is doing and explains your results thoroughly, allowing you to ask all of the questions you want. I’ve always been mortified to have anything near my eyes; I become a squirmy baby when anyone tries to put drops in my eyes and I end up with liquid running all over my face. But Dr. Jan exudes calm and trust so somehow I am comfortable with her putting drops in my eyes or otherwise examining them.
Her office is clean and comfortable. Her staff is exceptional — everyone is so sweet. If you end up needing glasses they will patiently help you in picking out frames from the great selection they have available.

Dr. Jan is fantastic! And the staff is pleasant!
I’ve dreaded my yearly eye exam ever since I first needed glasses 14 years ago. Mainly, because it’s a nightmare trying to find a doctor that takes my insurance and is willing to write me a prescription for contacts. I’m blind in one eye and it makes most optometrists nervous. I’m given a list of commandments every year: thou shalt not sleep in contacts, thou shalt not shower in contacts, thou shalt wear polycarbonate spectacles… the list goes on. So given my situation I have to do more tests, have a long conversation about my eye’s past, pay a little more for everything, and the whole experience takes about twice as long as your exams. You see why I hate these visits? Not to mention I was there because the state of California needs to know if I really am okay to drive (even though I’ve been driving for ten years).
Well, thank God for Dr. Jan! She was extremely patient, making sure she got the entire story. She answered my one «is this normal?» question thoroughly, was gentle with the magnifying glass and bright light (can’t remember the name of the test), and actually brought up if my strabismus bothered me cosmetically first! I was floored when she asked if it bothered me. Usually I’m just patted on the knee and told it doesn’t look *that* bad.
Plus, she even told me some things about my bad eye I never knew. Like the reason it’s blind is not what I’ve been told for years, but to be honest, she didn’t quite know what it would be called. And an hour and a half later, a record, I was sent on my way with Rx sunglasses coming in, contacts fitted, and a clean bill of health. Oh, and those nerdy sunglasses the give you for your creepy diated eyes.
So glad I found Dr. Jan!
