The office is old and nothing special which is fine but I was hoping the service/​care would be stellar to make up for the fact they haven’t updated the décor since the 80s. The hygienist was extremely rough with my cleaning and it was very uncomfortable. The Dr. did come by and introduce himself and he seemed very nice but I didn’t have much interaction with him.
The girls in the office aren’t super friendly and they billed me for my cleaning even though my insurance covered it. I called to let them know that that they need to contact my insurance instead of billing me almost $ 200 for a routine check up which they claimed was my portion of the bill. Keep in mind my sister is a dentist (in Norcal) so I’m well aware of how much a cleaning should cost and the fact that it is covered by my insurance.
A couple months later I get a call and the girl on the phone said she was returning my call. I told her I wasn’t expecting a call but it might have been about the billing issue I had and she said she had no idea what I was talking about… long story short, the girls are all confused in the office and the service is not great so why bother? It’s more of an inconvenience than anything…

I have only 6 of my natural teeth; the rest are crowns, bridges, or implants. That’s how much dentistry I’ve had. Unfortunately, most of my experiences have been poor to moderate. Dr. McLean was recommended by a friend. He instantly reminded me of my family dentist that I had as a child: kind, professional, and a dental expert — not a sales team. This was my second visit with him and his office squeezed me in within 10 minutes of my phone call for a broken tooth.

I would highly recommend this dentist– he’s like the dentists I remember as a child — nothing fancy, no waterfalls in the office or sales brochures for whitening products and veneers– just a good dentist.

Awesome dentist, doing ethical business like it should be done! I was tired of the up-​sell from every dentist I went to, but when they told me that my cleanings now do not fall into the insurance category of «simple cleaning» that is covered, and I would have to pay for a special periodontal cleaning because I have a little bit of recession in my gums, it was the last straw… Searching online I found Dr McLean’s office and read the reviews about how he doesn’t operate this way, I tried him out. AWESOME experience, and a simple cleaning just like I had always received. This will be my dentist till the day he retires, or longer if I can talk him into it!
His hygienist Robyn was quick, pain free, great (one sided for the most part) conversationalist and I will be happy to see her again on my next visit!

Probably the most honest dentist out there! Simply fantastic and wonderful! Somehow he and his staff know how to make you feel right at home. They take the time to do the job right but are efficient and great at it. I have never had a problem with anything there… regular checkups, cleaning, last minute changes, billing, you name it. Before coming to Chris I had the unfortunate luck of going to another dentist after a 1 year absence of visiting dentists who claimed I had 9 cavities! Nine!!! I hadn’t had a cavity since I was 14 and have always been good about taking care of my teeth. Besides the 1 year break I went regularly to the dentist. I fell for the trap and scheduled my first 2, it went terribly and I was fortunate enough to have a friend tell me about Chris. I told him my story and he wanted to check it out for himself. Sure enough, there was no problem and they were not cavities! Chris could have just done the work and made money but he cared more about me as a person then he did about the bottom line. I have been a faithful follower ever since!

I had good and bad dentists throughout my many moves and I’m glad to add this dental office to my «great» category. I’m fairly new to Fullerton and had some bad luck with dentists until I was recommended to the McLean office. The staff was polite, the office was clean, my teeth were in tip top shape and I was in and out quickly. I felt I could trust them to make well advised judgments on the state of my teeth and not screw me over with excess procedures. Very trustworthy and very highly recommended!

Let me start this review off by saying how much I HATE going to the dentist. I will actually do anything I can to avoid going to the dentist. I am terrified of needles and that keeps me far far away. However, one night during dinner I had the most random tooth pain EVER. I was in so much pain that I was crying and I didn’t think I’d make it through the night! I talked to Chris that night and he gave me excellent advice to take care of my pain and offered to help me as early as 7:00am the next morning! I was so impressed that he went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of as soon as possible. The rest of the staff is very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I think I actually don’t hate the dentist anymore… Well at least at this dental office ;]

BEST DENTIST EVER! The staff is super friendly and the dental procedures are painless. One of my friends who’s entire family also goes here told me that her husband goes more often than he needs to just because he loves the staff so much. How often do you hear that about a dentist?!

The best dentist I’ve EVER been to. I dare you to find another more caring, honest, or genuine. A true throwback to the way healthcare is supposed to be!

Wonderful welcoming staff. Fantastic treatment. Excellent price. Is it weird to say I thought it was cheap for a dentist? I thought there was a standard but getting to know Chris and the staff they are doing their job to help people and they do it well. I had a few friends recommend the Doc and when I had emergency with a front tooth, he was the right person to call. Everyone was so nice and the treatment was painless! I always say the worst thing about the dentist is the pain and Chris pays very close attention to it. You can tell he doesn’t want anyone to be in pain. He is a fantastic person and dentist. I highly recommend!
