Bill’s Lock & Safe

Just brought a gate lock down there that I thought I was going to have to replace. Blew my mind how quickly and cheaply they fixed it. I’ll never be going to one of the big box stores again for my lock and key needs. These guys were wonderful. One would be foolish not to go here first.

If I ever need another duplicate of my keys I will definitely stop by this place! Inexpensive and quick! I thought it was going to take 10 mins for me to get my keys, it took like 3 mins! Super satisfied and friendly service!

I purchased a vintage Gucci suitcase that I got locked out of and after 25 min of wanting to rip my hair out trying to open the stupid thing, I decided to call a locksmith.
I first called another locksmith who told me they might break my suitcase and I was like wtf… Bill’s Lock and Safe was my second call.
I am not sure if the person working (older white man) was Bill or not, but he was extremely nice, and told me to bring it in.
I brought it in and he was again, very nice (different day but the voice was the same) and was really careful with my bag, which I appreciated.
He unlocked it in less than 30 seconds. I was very happy! Not only with the customer service but him unlocking the bag.
I am not sure if this was a weird request or not, but he didn’t treat me like it was. lol
I would definitely recommend him and I will go back if I ever need any keys made!

I needed to get a copy of a key made for work. I looked up different locksmith’s in the area and this was the closest. Glad I came here. I was greeted immediately by a someone. I told him what I needed he took my key and within a minute was done. I paid and off I went. The key worked right the first time. Beats going to Home Depot where you wait 10 minutes for someone to come help you then have to return twice because the key wouldn’t work properly… this happened to me! I will definitely be back for key copies.

I needed a key copied in a pinch and the ol’ big chain store took forever to try to make it only to realize they didn’t have the right size key to begin with.
Came to Bill’s and was greeted cheerfully, served promptly, and left with a smile.
Service is definitely 5 stars! However, the location is in a bit of a shady strip mall, so if it was after dark I wouldn’t feel too safe stopping by. I won’t mark them down for this, since late night key copying probably isn’t their specialty.

Small shop and the gentleman was so nice to me it’s amazing. Fantastic experience even though it was for something so routine as just getting a key made. Fast and reliable.

On a typical work morning, I go to put my car key in the door and before my unbelieving eyes it snaps in half! I quickly realize it was my only key, as I lost the copy a few months ago, so I go online for a locksmith. The first place I called said they couldn’t make a duplicate from a broken key. They needed to come to the car ($ 30), get the vin number, and create a new key on site ($ 120 minimum). I was missing a day of work as it was; I couldn’t afford this. I went on Unilocal and immediately recognized Bill’s Lock & Safe as a place I used to go as a boy living in the neighborhood. I grabbed my key pieces, hopped on my bike, and rode over. Robert was great! I explained what happened and gave him the key pieces. I offered the vin number, but he only needed the make and model. «Well, let’s see what we can do.» Ten minutes and a fresh cup of coffee later, I was leaving with a replacement key for under 5 bucks! He even sent me off with a few cards for free duplicates in the future. This is mom & pop, hole-​in-​the-​wall, can-​do service at its best.

This place is great. They usually have what I need in stock. If they don’t, then they come up with a solution to help me out. Great customer service. Been going here a long time and will continue to go here.

What a help Robert was. I lost the only key to my motorcycle and thought I was doomed. I was able to remove the ignition barrel from the bike and drive it down there. Robert being the master he is. He was able to make a rough cut key that worked for the ignition. He told me «I’m not gonna charge you for this. Ride the bike down her and we’ll sort out the gas cap.» I did just that. He picked the gas cap lock and made me a new set of keys in about 20 min. What a life saver. Very fair price as well. I would recommend them to everyone.

They made copies of keys I asked for a hello kitty character key and changed my mind to a disney one. The guy that made the key made the hello kitty and then made the Disney key. He offered me the hello kitty for free! I’m really glad we went there!

I used Bills for years and they were always good. However in my recent experiences I am not happy. Twice they put the keyway for my house door upside down. Then I had a car key cut at the tune of $ 40. They were not happy I supplied the blank. The key only works partially and they made no attempt to determine the problem or fix it. Not my idea of a quality service.

I like our previous reviewer needed a key made. I went to two big market places and they couldn’t get it done. I went to Bill’s cause it was close to my work and after reading Jerry’s review I figured they would be able to help. I was greeted with a smile and was in and out of there in 2 minutes with a spare key made. Great price and quick service… that is a dying breed in So Cal… Thanks!!!

I don’t know how much money I’ve wasted having keys made at Big Box home improvement stores. Their automated machines and not-​so-​knowledgeable clerks never get them right. Save yourself the aggravation and go to Bill’s Lock & Safe first. They’ve obviously been in the business for years and know what they’re doing. Plenty of friendly smiles here, too.
