Artist Series Guitar builds custom designed guitars for guitarists all around the world. Utilizing ASG’s Chemical Bonding Process, any guitar player can design a graphic-​finished guitar for unheard of pricing. ASG’s are built from solid mahogany with a hand-​carved mahogany top, rosewood fingerboard, mother-​of-​pearl inlays, screaming ASG Arsenal pickups and much more. The ASG Factory is located at 509 W. Commonwealth Ave in Fullerton, CA.

History

Established in 2010.

ASG is a custom guitar manufacturer specializing in limited edition, collectible releases in collaboration with the world’s greatest bands, musicians, artists and brands. With over 100 releases completed in the four year span of the business, ASG is aligning itself to become a major player in the guitar manufacturing industry.

ASG began in Pasadena, CA, in a garage equipped with razor blades, rattle cans and a make shift spray booth fashioned out of PVC, plastic painter’s sheeting and a box fan. Now, ASG resides in Fullerton, CA, home of the electric guitar, in a 4000 square foot ASG Headquarter office and workshop. The ASG team is comprised of talented luthiers, music industry professionals all managed by ASG founder and CEO, Vijay Kumar.

As the company grew, ASG developed a patented graphic application process known in the industry as «ASG’s Chemical Bonding Process.»

Through his years as a professional musician and education as a Classical Guitarist, Vijay found a lasting relationship with the guitar industry. This caused Vijay to start Artist Series Guitar in 2010. Teaming up with friends and other professional musicians, Vijay assembled a catalog of limited edition releases, all of which Sold Out in a very short time.

As the business grew, Vijay began designing an industry exclusive finishing process now knows as the ASG Chemical Bonding Process. This process allows one-​of-​a-​kind guitar finishes at industry-​low prices.

From sourcing the best woods or developing the next release, to sticking his nose in each design, Vijay is involved in every aspect of the business. On occasion, you’ll find Vijay playing Villa-​Lobos on his nylon string guitar, or obsessing over a new concept from «Through the Wormhole.» But mostly, Vijay is working on building ASG into the greatest guitar company in the world or rough-​housing with his son.
