Don’t waste your time or money coming here. Went in for a «cleaning, x-​ray, and exam» because this is what the my insurance covers for free, they ended up telling me that I needed to pay $ 75+$ 55 because my insurance would not cover «basic cleaning». Further they said that my insurance ONLY covered the free «polish». Is that a joke? Pls Don’t be fooled. I called my insurance to file a Grievance right away on this office, and they confirmed that the basic cleaning should have been free. Sure enough, Waste of time.

Had to visit the dentist due to a super painful tooth. Everyone in the office are great and helpful people. They give it to you straight and are flexible with payment options if your like me and have second class dental insurance along with credit issues. Thanx again guys!!!

Horrible doctor, this guy was graduated in India from dental school. He does absolutely terrible job. He is more interested in your money. Don’t get tricked by his fake smile and fake reviews. You will get more quality work if you go south of border in Tijuana

Its that time again.
Your 6 month check up has arrived and its time to get a cleaning. Luckily, I have found the BEST DENTIST OFFICE EVER. Not only are their tools up to date and PAIN FREE the staff is amazing.
I was instantly greeted by name by an assistant who helped fit me for multiple X-​Rays. I have often found this to be uncomfortable but the inserts were more contoured to my mouth and this step was very fast and easy.
Jeff then came in and cleaned my teeth. He showed me the back of my bottom teeth which were moderately caked with plaque. However, he destroyed this plaque with mild discomfort and speed.
Angie, arrived and politely polished my teeth with root beer??? That’s what it smelled like!
Dr. Amit Shaw gave my Teeth a thorough once over and recommended I continue brushing and flossing while paying attention to an old filling that may or may not come out.
I then promptly paid my bill with Tara & Sarah and now feel great about smile.

Very professional, Dentists talk to you, and let you know what is happening. Never had a long wait. Love the results of my implant.
The office is very nice too.

I am a terrible patient. I don’t like going to the dentist, and it causes me a great deal of anxiety when I do. The people at Creative Smiles are always nice. They are gentle and understanding with me even when I am grumpy and upset with them.
I don’t think they try to oversell (as I saw mentioned in another post), but they do want to do x-​rays twice a year where as I prefer once — which is okay with them. I also get my teeth cleaned 4 times a year which is 2 more times than insurance pays for, but my gums are so much healthier it’s worth it. Their recommendation was right.
It’s true they have HD televisions in front of the dental chairs — It’s pretty cool to see the high definition pictures of your teeth — but when I’m not looking at my teeth I think I would prefer something soothing instead of day time television constantly blaring. Maybe watch some pretty pictures with music playing. I’m sure they would turn it off if I asked. Because as I said — they are very nice.
They are good at explaining everything, and they make the best out of what I consider a horrible experience to begin with.
I’ve been going to them for at least a couple of years, maybe three. I’m glad I found them.

Wow what can i say this office is absolutely amazing the staff is amazing … Dr Patel is great in explaining all of my treatment needed and very detailed in answering all of my questions … Tara was very helpful with getting all of my insurance info and Sara was very helpful as well … Coming in i was dreading xrays but the assistant Ricardo did an amazing job and made sure i was comfortable the the whole time. I love this office and will never go anywhere else.

Let me start off by saying the staff here is amazing … Ricky is my favorite assistant he is always on top of everything and always has a smile :) … Tara, office mgr, always makes sure I’m taken care of … Sara in the front is really great. She always answers my questions … and Dr Tarun Patel is by far the best dentist in the world he is amazing with implants and bone graft. I love this place and have state of the art dental office … If u are looking for an amazing group of professional specialists with amazing staff this is the place for you: D

I cannot agree more with other reviews which mention how the staff is «on the upsell» making me feel more like a tool being used to access insurance money than a customer.
they do good work here, but the feeling one gets while on a used car lot, overrides the quality of their work and I will not be returning. dentists are professionals and the office will need to overcome the up selling behavioral issues as it runs counter to the publics image of their profession.
the office is up to date with state of the art equipment. I had a procedure that required several visits and yes, there were times I sat in the dentist chair waiting and waiting.

Dr. Shaw and staff are phenomenal! When I first moved to Fullerton, I was in search of a dentist with weekend hours and that would be located fairly close to home. Those were my two requirements. It is safe to say Creative Smiles has exceeded my expectations. The staff at Creative smiles is alwasy friendly, pleasant, and eager to make the visit as quick as possible. Tara is always so helpful with my billing questions, and appointments. Ricardo and Vonny are always so nice and friendly. Dr. Shaw’s bedsid manner is phenomenal. He’s funny and gentle on your mouth. I would recommend this dentist to anyone. They have flexible weekend and evening hours. Their offices are sparkling clean and the chairs have massagers!

Don’t expect them to start working on your teeth when your appointment starts. Each time I have been I have had to wait an hour to an hour and a half in the chair before they begin.
The technicians also seem very inept and have a lot of trouble getting equipment to work.
Be prepared to be up sold on many unnecessary procedures, and double check your bill on the way out. They like to throw anything on there they can to get your money.
The Doctor, Amit Shah, is friendly and seems like he knows what he’s doing. But after three visits (two cleanings and some bonding work) I will not be returning. I just can’t waste three hours on a dentist appointment when it should only take one.

I’ve been going here for two years now. I’ve gotten one implant, all fillings replaced, and teeth cleaned several times. Excellent dentist & staff. Very modern atmosphere and approach as well. I looked at my before and after pics. Wow, my teeth are in way better shape. I feel like I have great teeth now!

I will never go to another dentist again! I am so happy I found a dental office where everyone is so courteous and helpful. Vonnie and Tara, who work the front desk, are knowledgeable and friendly. Ricardo, the dental assistant, is the comedic relief who provides laughs through the pain. And my favorite, Dr Steth, who always went out of her way to make sure I was happy.
These people made my experience so much better and I highly recommend this office to everyone!

I have been shopping around for a good dentist who does implants in their office. I had a bad experience with my prior implant so I needed options. Many dentists send their patients to specialists and I didn’t want to go that route.
I was recommended by a friend to try Dr. Shah who does everything right there in his office and I am very happy I did. I called and got in that same day. When I arrived I didn’t have to wait to be seen. They have a very high tech office and I was impressed by the technology. Dr. Shah came in and I was looking at my X-​rays maybe 15 minutes after I walked in the door. Not only was he the most reasonably priced, but he also took time to answer all of my questions. I decided to move forward that same evening and I couldn’t believe how easy it was. My tooth was out! I walked out of there with my new implant and recovery so far has been great! I highly recommend Creative Smiles to anyone! Seriously!

Ricardo is one professional Dental Assistant, who anticipates your every need, and gives it to you humbly.
It’s hard to get me positioned comfortably. He made it his mission to help work that out & to be right on it to put me back to a comfortable position as soon as the Doctor would step out of the room. Thank you for your help Ricardo.

This practice SUCKS! I received a referral from 1 800 Dentist. who stated that the name of the practice was Fullerton Smiles. The first red flag came up when I arrived to see that the name on the side of the building was Creative Smiles. The second red flag was when I sat awaiting a cleaning while I overheard the receptionist being trained on her first day (turnover is big red flag). The staff seemed completely unprofessional, and when they were unable to process my insurance card information… Well I couldn’t run fast enough. I complained to 1 800 Dentist (my complaint never showed up on their website). In fact, the most recent review is negative and nearly a year old, yet these idiots are still doing business.
I have an appointment on Wednesday with a practice in Placentia (each graduates of USC) I can’t wait to deal with professionals.

Ive been searching for a dentist for the past year. Every time I would step in their office the entire staff would make me feel so uncomfortable. From day 1 at creative smiles I’ve felt their concern and notably their compassion. Everyone here has been absolutely fabulous. The girls at the front desk are very knowledgeable and friendly. Tara has answered every question and concern for me. The hygienists (Veronica?) was so very sweet and made decisions that actually saved me money, when she most certainly could have performed a procedure that wasn’t needed. Ricky… I think is considered a dental technician and is so nice and caring and funny. He made me feel like I have a friend. With every visit he is always smiling and helps you get relaxed. I’ve had the pleasure of working with 3 dentists at the office. Dr. Shah, is very patient and not pushy. He answers all my questions and has made me feel so comfortable about my procedure. The man is gentle, he has done 2 IV sedations on me and takes his time. IVs in the hand can hurt, however he has never hurt me once. There are two other dentist there with the last name Patel and both are amazing and gentle. And please forgive me for not remembering both of your first names. T. Patel has been my main dentist. He has taken so much time to explain my options thoroughly. He is very gentle and such a good heart. Im in the process of receiving full dentures top and bottom. This has been needed for so long. I feel that I’m in good. great. no wait… excellent hands with all the staff there. I actually look forward to my visits.
If you are going in for dentures rest assured that you will receive the best care. As for adjustments on the dentures there is a dental lab upstairs. Tony has been there to help me make adjustments to be as comfortable as possible.
I will never go to any other dentist office. As long as creative smiles is there, they have a customer for life.

Dr. Shah literally changed my life! I haven’t been to the dentist in years out of fear from a childhood experience. My mom (who’s just as terrified as I am) found this place and told Dr. Shah about my situation. My mom raved about the entire staff and her experience so naturally I gave them a shot (momma knows best). I had a pretty good size chip on my front tooth that was fixed on my first visit with zero pain. I also had massive decay on a bunch of teeth which literally prevented me from smiling. A few weeks have gone by since my first visit and I gotta say, I can NOT stop smiling! Everyone in this practice is top notch. I fully trust them with my teeth and could not be happier. I highly recommend Dr. Shah and his entire staff. I have my smile back and will be coming here regularly to keep this smile top not. just like the quality of this practice. Thank you Dr. Shah, my life is forever changed in the most amazing way possible.

Where should I start, or lack of. I had to pick a dentist for my new job for open enrollment and boy did I make a big mistake. To cut it short, if you have to waste and don’t really care about professionalism. This is your place. I thought I was at a car dealership. All they do is waste your time and up sell. It took me 3 hours to get a mediocre cleaning. I would have done better if I brushed my teeth at home. Steer clear of this place if you like your time wasted.

At first I liked the décor and one of the Hygienist there is awesome, but having been there a few times now the dentist is just average.
