Amerige Pointe

I truly have enjoyed living at Amerige Pointe. The maintenance workers are always on point with fixing anything whenever I put in a request on their website. I truly appreciate them because they work hard on keeping the whole complex looking great. There’s security at night to walk around and keep an eye on the cars. Nice guy to talk to and he makes sure I’m safe when getting home late and I’m walking by myself. Although my roommates car was still broken into after a couple months living here and I saw it happening at 4am. I just decided to call the fullerton Police and then go after the guy myself. I even ran after the guy throughout the complex but he knew the ins and outs better than me. That’s probably the only con I’ve experienced because everything else has been positive. They have washer and dryer in unit. Amazing high ceilings. Central air. And just central location. I hope to stay here because I’ve made this into a home I truly enjoy coming back to.

This place is worse experience there nice in the beginning but if the manager don’t like you she will refuse to take payment and kick you out i have a complete video of what happened if anyone like to see it massage me.

This review is way overdue… I’ve lived in Amerige Point for almost 5 years now and it’s been great. The apartments and amenities are clean and the proximity to all the shops makes it worth the price you pay for. Not to mention the helpful staff who go out of their way to make their tenants happy (thanks Jack!) I would strongly recommend this place if you want to live in the Fullerton area :-)

I lived here for 2 years and am in the process of moving out. I am already in my new location and cannot say how happy I am that I left this place. It wasn’t all bad from the beginning, but it has gone downhill quite a bit and for what they charge, this is just overpriced. Here are the reasons to consider:
Pro’s:
— it is Fullerton, can’t beat the location
— fairly decent sized 1-​bedroom apartments
— accepts dogs
Con’s:
— nothing gets done in regards to the cat problem (stray cats all over the property, which are fed by other residents, bringing pest problems)
— issues with cars getting broken into; yes, they have security but he hangs out by the pool at night
— office staff is not only poorly trained and doesn’t know what they are talking about, but they are consistently rude
— service requests are not a top priority
— fire alarms are checked several times a year, having management entering your apartment during the day several times
— apartment inspections are additional to the fire alarm inspections, another reason for them to enter your apartment while you are at work
— you receive notice of these inspections the night before; barely 24 hours
— I rented a garage for $ 100 extra, which they put in a different building with ‘we will give you one in your building once it opens up’…never happened
— if it is not homeless people going through the trash for recyclables then it is the maintenance staff
— however I just loved the phrase on the move out sheet: ‘there is no such thing as normal wear and tear’… so if you move in, you better fly over the carpet that is throughout the apartment and don’t touch anything.
I have done the apartment cleaning including the wanted ‘clean the molding with the toothbrush’ and things alike just to see whether or not I will get my refund. However, I keep my hopes low. Appliances are outdated, bugs are all over this place and you can’t leave a window or door open, because you might just get yourself a cat… But if you go to complain, you have an assistant laugh at you. And that for almost $ 2000 for a 1-​bedroom. You can do better than this! This place has failed me in so many ways, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

I’ve lived at Amerige Pointe for nearly two years, and but for the purchase of a new home I would have stayed as long as I can.
Location, amenities, facilities and all the other good stuff… just pay a visit and you will immediately realize Amerige is probably the best apartment within a 20mi radius.
What really blew my mind away, however, is the service.
Usually, management gets really tough to work with once they find out you’re leaving because they know you no longer will be a potential customer returning anytime soon. Amerige, on the other hand, its service only gets better and better… and they just make you want to stay a little longer (sucks I have to leave haha).
Carol, Jennifer, Jack, Hector… the entire staff is truly accommodating to all your needs.
I’ve been to about 8 different apartments throughout my school career (10 years), all the way from Massachusetts to California. Amerige has surpassed my expectations and I proudly and confidently give them 5 stars.

People may have had different experiences. But I can also guarantee, Amerige probably has had different experiences with them as well.

This place is such a nice apartment complex. I just moved here, and my family and I are loving this place because everything is nearby. The staff are very friendly and courteous like Jack from leasing office and Miguel from maintenance. Since I’m «breaking» in a new place, there are always some small issues that maintenance will come promptly to try to fix. I’m very pleased with the professionalism of its staff and the way that the complex has been well preserved. Thank you

First off I want to start that the office help was very very professional and helpful. I began my search for a new place due to a long distance job relocation. The website is user friendly and very helpful. Jennifer and Jack were both courteous and helpful. We went to the site to inspect before we signed. The lobby and pool area was very nice. We probably would enjoy using the facilities. The schools in the area are great but good luck getting your kid into the nearest elementary. Its very impacted. Not great since its right up the street. The biggest turn off for this place is the cleanliness of the open hallways and entrances to the apartments. Dusty, dingy, dirty, need I say more. Its surprising. They really just need to take a little time and elbow grease to make it more presentable. I would not be able to stand living there under those dirty conditions. The front door and entrance to the apartment we were looking at looked so sad. I have lived in similar properties and enjoyed a much higher level of cleanliness. The balcony to the apartment was FILTHY gross.
Guys, get some bleach, scrub brushes and hot water and get busy. I think with that improvement alone you will attract a better number of tenants and have 100% occupancy rate.

When my wife and I decided to move here we thought it would be a step up from the place we came from, but for the most part, aside that we live closer to friends and family, we would advise against it if you are not the resident type they favor. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize what we were getting into until it was too late.
You have to be very patient with Jack when dealing with him, as he is able to get under people’s skin very easily. He comes off as a very nice person at first, but somehow gets very unprofessional and annoyed if you have questions. His tone is very demeaning and he doesn’t seem to have a sense of reasoning.
He is unorganized as he lost our information twice when we were applying to be residents. He has no patience when you are trying to ask for help, however, I do notice that he is very resourceful if you speak to him in Korean.
I complained about the noise from our upstairs neighbors and all the smoking they do, and he said he left a message for them, but he thought there was no way of communicating effectively with my neighbors as there was a language barrier problem. Bottom line, he does not resolve issues, he lets them linger and somehow hopes for them to go away on their own. I think it’s his method of getting rid of people he does not want in the community.
He did not complete the walk-​through inspection when we were going to move in. He bypassed the garage portion. i know when it comes time to move out, he is going to tack on the charges for the existing paint scratches and holes that were in the garage prior to us moving in.
You are better off dealing with Crystal. She is not condescending and really tries to make people feel comfortable. The only thing is that if she has to make a decision it is usually overpowered by Jack or their upper management.
Pros:
–Shopping and dining is conveniently located on-​property and across the street. Try the Egg Cracker restaurant.
–Maintenance group is very courteous, professional, and responsive. Usually within a 24 hr period problems are fixed.
–Parking is convenient, if you are home early.
–BBQs are great.
–Despite all the traffic it is a pretty quiet place to live in.
Cons:
–Not enough visitor parking areas.
–The added fees to have a garage are horrible. $ 100 extra per month is added to your rent. $ 25/​month extra if you use the carports.
–Apartments are overpriced for what they are. They have cheap vinyl counter tops and electric stoves.
–Security call center is very rude.
–The security guards have a huge ego and love to write tickets. 3 tickets = automatic tow.
–Pool is always dirty, looks like the majority of the residents use it as a place to bathe as it always looks like there is a layer of grease and lint on the top.
–Most residents smoke with no regard to others around and if you complain management does nothing about it, as they say their facility is not smoke free and all they can do is ask the smokers to go to the perimeter of the property, but they don’t.
–I say about 20% of residents do not clean up after their pets and those that do, usually leave it smeared.
–Plumbing and hot water heater are very crappy.
===============================================================Don’t be fooled by the pictures you see online, go in person and find out for yourself. The amenities of this place do not justify the price and cons you will encounter while living here.

Been living here for over a year and we love this apartment complex! So close to shopping, restaurants, and nice parks for my little one. Go see Jennifer or Jack they are very helpful!

We have lived here for two years and have been very happy with quick response to service requests and how smooth the transition was when we moved to another unit. The staff is very friendly and has been a lot of help to us.

My husband and I moved from here from NYC last month and we LOVE it so far! The apartment is spacious and clean. The Amerige Pointe community is also very welcoming. An added plus is definitely the proximity of the town center… its great that I can walk over to go shopping or grab some food. Overall, I definitely recommend this place.

I bet most people write a bad review within 5 minutes of being pissed off but won’t write a good review when something goes right. I am currently deployed and my wife wanted to find a place for us to stay when I got back. We had our eye on this place due to the location in regards to my son’s school and family members live close by.
My wife received a nice tour of the Apartments and we decided to move here. The application process was not the smoothest as I applied for two apartments the same day and there was a computer glitche, I can’t hit Amerige on this as they had never experienced this before. There was a slight delay in the process but Amerige was nice enough to give my wife a $ 100 gift certificate for the onsite restaurant for the trouble. We remained calm and professional throughout the process as they did which is why both parties were able to come to an amicable agreement. I was in contact with Jack and Jennifer at this point.
When my wife was moving in, she did receive a complaint from a neighbor who came to the door to ask to keep the noise down. My wife explained to her that we were moving in and there was no trouble from that point on. I would rather someone come talk to me like a human being instead of making phone calls to management right off the bat. My wife had family members help move in all the boxes and most of our furniture was delivered new. As my wife started to unpack, she had to unload the empty boxes on the patio. My wife is acting as a single mom right now with two little boys so making trips to the far dumpster proves to be a challenge. She received a letter from the management office asking to remove the boxes from the patio which made my wife call the management office. After the Manager Carol called back and heard my wife’s situation… she offered to have a maintenance professional come and take the boxes down for her… throwing boxes out and leaving my son alone sleeping in a crib is not a good idea. This happened this week and I thought I would write a review to show how nice these people can be if you are professional with them. My situation is not ideal and they have been a great help. We read all the horrible reviews about the management before we moved in and decided to still give it a try and we have had a great experience so far. They have gone above and beyond to assist us in our situation and I thank them for that.
I will be home shortly and update with a review of the actual living situation. From what my wife tells me and the pictures it is a great place to live. There is no one place that will have everything right but I must say this place comes pretty close.

My experience with this complex and management have been great! Management very responsive to my issues or complaints. I love the layout of my apartment, except the kitchen and bathroom flooring:). Maintenance addresses my needs within 24 hours. I enjoy all my neighbors, maintenance, management, and the amenities. No place is perfect, this place is close enough.

So I have been living here for 4 years and thought it was about time I wrote a review. I’ve been reading some of the other negative reviews here and being here so long, dealing with Carol and Rebecca on a regular basis, I feel some of the comments made here are unsubstantiated.
First– no complex is perfect and this complex is no different. There are little things here and there that I feel could be changed for the better, but for the most part, property management has come through with 85−90% of the experiences or issues we’ve had. The maintenance guys are WONDERFUL and most of the time respond in a timely manner. Because this is such a large complex, sometimes things slip through the cracks so you may need to follow up a second time– but we’ve never had to follow up or «hound» anyone beyond that to get something fixed. Our rent comes out on automatic debit and in 4 years there have been no issues whatsoever with it.
For those complaining about Rebecca and Carol, I will say that if Carol comes off a bit cold, I believe it’s because she oversees a ton of duties, employees and tenants. As a business owner myself, when there’s an issue it’s important not to get emotionally involved and keep unbiased opinions when issues arise until further information can be gathered to determine what the next course of action will be. When an issue arises with other tenants, there are legal parameters property managers have and a protocol that needs to be followed and Carol always is very organized and well versed on all the «rules.» She’s always been friendly to us! Rebecca, in my opinion is wonderful! She has ALWAYS tended to our needs and she was one of the reasons we ended up at this complex so I may just have a difference in opinion in regard to her friendliness because she has been awesome.
The one thing that I will say is that the complex has brought in two new women and while they’re not blatantly rude, they really don’t go out of their way to make you feel welcome or comfortable. In fact, one of the women is staying in the apartment two doors down from us and every time she walks by when we smile or say hi she ignores us and doesn’t acknowledge us. So… that’s kind of lame but I just chalk it up to the fact that they are just not well versed in customer service.
Here’s the thing. a good apartment complex is concerned about safety, timely repairs and creating an environment where tenants feel at home. Amerige does all of this and that’s why I’m giving it 5 stars. It’s not a property manager’s job to kiss tenant’s butts– it’s their job to create a safe and inviting living environment. Those that complain about Carol and Rebecca being rude or non-​responsive, I would encourage you to document your issues and go to the office and speak to them privately and sincerely. I think you’ll be surprised. If you confront someone about an issue in an accusatory nature, it’s only natural for someone to be on the defense– so consider a different approach because everyone has been nothing short of friendly and professional with both my husband and I. There will be crappy tenants wherever you go (my last apartment was ridiculous). You’ll have to deal with them whether you like it or not– so my advice is to document everything and if it becomes a real issue, then file a formal complaint. We’ve had a few REALLY awful neighbors but we’ve dealt with them the proper way, went through the proper channels and things were resolved.
As for the property itself– we SO wish there was a better dishwasher because it sucks! But the amenities are great– it’s walking distance to stores and we use the pool all the time! We really enjoyed the last 4 years here and would recommend it to anyone seeking a high end complex with a myriad of amenities. Our time here has been great!

So this place is sliding down the crapper, I smell weed at night now while I’m trying to sleep, my neighbors are still pretty ghetto and now I have to deal with effn music blasting from the pool late at night and listen to some damn toy dog barking to the wee hours. I wake up at 430 am everyday so I’m usually in bed by ⁹³⁰⁄₁₀ and to hear all that stuff while I’m trying to sleep… It’d be less painful to slowly stick a pencil I’m my right eye.
Ya know, for 1700.00 a month you’d expect something a bit better. My lease is up in March and I think I’ll move out… I think I’ll try Brea or Yorba Linda or even try something as sterile as Irvine.

A year later and nothing has changed. Called to inquire about availability/​prices and Jack once again was rude and had terrible customer service. I asked three other leasing offices the exact same question and no one gave me hassle. Jack was the only one who seemed annoyed to even check what the apartment availability was for the next month and even suggested I look online.
Ask to speak to anyone but not Jack or you will be wasting your time.

One star would be a generous portrayal of my experience with this apartment complex.
The management is very hands-​off. They are not responsive when you email them with issues and when you go in, they are very rude and short. Reading other reviews on here, you’ll see that Carol and Rebecca are the two that leave everyone feeling pretty unwelcomed here. They are cold, unprofessional, rude, and do not care about customer experience. Ladies, your job is to help the tenants and manage the property. Nothing says «welcome home» like being treated like crap and being unprofessional and unnecessarily cold. (Amerige, If you are reading this review, please let them know that their job is to welcome guests and tenants, not make them feel ostracized. There are ways to deal with issues and there is no reason to be sooo rude.)
We worked with Jeff for a while and after he left, our experience worsened.
They often tack on fees and bills that you have no idea of. «Cleaning fees, damage fees, and late fees:» were often added on to our bills. I truly believe that because we were a younger group of girls that lived there, they took advantage of us.
They didn’t do a walkthrough from the last tenants that lived there so they then charged us for damage that was done from the previous year, which none of us were responsible for. They then kept our $ 900 deposit fee after we left, did not do a walk through with us, and continue to charge us months after we left.
They are unprofessional, rude, and extremely snobby. The whole point of management is to feel protected and taken care of, and with my experience in Amerige, that is the exact opposite. I honestly felt like the purposefully antagonized us and tried to add fees because they did not like us personally. If you are looking to live here, I would suggest turning the other way and checking out Cinnamon Ridge. I have heard great things about their management.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. WORST MANAGEMENT EVER. Not worth the «amenities» aka a small, crappy gym and a pool that is closed half the time.

Safest spot in Fullerton

I’ll try to keep this short… This place sucks, please save your money and time and find somewhere else to live. I should have listened to the negative reviews before moving here. Bunch of idiots run the leasing office, except for Jeff, the only person with an actual brain there. Rebecca (bitch) needs to brush up on her customer service skills, that lady has no class and no respect for any of the tenants. Bunch of crooks on this management team, especially Rebecca, who by the way laughs in your face when you try to dispute a $ 150 charge on a broken microwave door! LOL honey, the whole freaking microwave costs less than this!!! Where the hell do you guys buy these appliances?!
Thanks Amerige managment for completely ruining my time here. They don’t even deserve the one star I gave them.
and for those that completely ignore this and decide, hey why not, I’m going to take my chances on this place, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Lived here for a year and it was okay I guess. But there were several cons that out weight the few pros, like other Unilocal reviews have shared.
Pros:
1. Right across from a nice shopping center (Target, Albertsons, Golds Gym, fairly good food places like Rubios, Panda, Taco Bell, McDonalds, etc.)
2. Better area than the rest of Fullerton. There are only about 3 nice and new apartment complexes in Fullerton and this one was in the best area, which is why I ended up here.
4. Jeff in the leasing office is extremely nice, I’d definitely recommend talking to him when you go in. He was nice through my whole experience here, while others were nice when they felt like it.
5. Pool area and gym are nice.
6. Apartment interior is nice.
Cons:
1. My car got keyed parked inside the complex! All the way from across the trunk, down the side, to the front of the car. You don’t want to deal with crap like this when you pay extra rent to stay in a nicer area. There’s so many teens and kids around also. And to top it off there are NO CAMERAS in the parking lots, so you can basically get away with anything. We also got notices about cars getting broken into, so why not add cameras? They don’t want the liability. When I went in the leasing office to report my car getting keyed, Rebecca (I think that’s her name, she’s the mangers with reddish short hair, not the blonde one who was super nice so talk to that one instead) started asking me if I had ex boyfriends who would do this… REALLY? So unprofessional. Did not even seem sympathetic at all and basically made me more upset about it. She told me I should call the cops to have them circle the apartment complex more to keep it safer… how about you do that Manager.
2. No parking if you come home late. Even after 8PM it’s hard to find spots, unless you pay extra for a parking spot. Which I did pay for in the beginning but they double booked that spot so I didn’t end up getting it and there were not close by spots to pay for. So without a spot you have to find open resident spots or park on the street and risk your car getting broken into and walk all the way to your apartment.
3. Visitor parking is horrible. There are such few spots randomly scattered and residents are allowed to park there if there is no parking. So good luck to your guests.
4. Stairways are dirty like some reviewers said.
5. Some of the maintenance crew are rude (but some are really nice). I was moving out and my friend brought his truck over so we could move my bed. He parked in an open resident spot and we were just going to move my bed and leave. One of the head maintenance guys tells me I have to move by 8PM or they’ll give me a ticket. Too bad there were 2 other cars parked right next to us without a permit. I told him we were going to be quick but he just kept talking, blah blah. I understand if you tell me this because you care and don’t want me to get a ticket, but he didn’t say it like that at all. By the way the security that supposedly walks around to give tickets rarely gives them, and he gives warnings first anyway.
6. Let’s talk more about «security». Their idea of security is one guy that walks around at night, who I probably saw twice out of the whole year I lived there. Even when I would come back late I never saw him.
7. Thin walls. Be ready to hear all conversations in the hallway and people’s alarm clocks going off.
8. People don’t pick up after their dog. It’s gross. There are small trash cans with doggy bags all around the complex.
9. I was lucky enough to have an apartment near the trash, but if you aren’t you have to do what mostly everyone else does and drive the trash over to the one side where it is.
I’m so happy I moved out. Found a better apartment in Anaheim/​Orange with the same rent (actually its like $ 100 cheaper), WAY BETTER amenities, nicer apartments with resort like feel, good parking, and I feel like my car is safe. I guess there are not many options for nice complexes in Fullerton, so if you do need to live here make sure you go in to talk to Jeff.
