Acacia Villas

My daughter is a senior in high school and started working at this community in August. When she first started working, Giselle was the manager and understood and respected the fact that my daughter was still in high school. Giselle ended up quitting and Erin is now the new manager. Erin has treated my daughter so horribly and I am sure has broken some labor laws. This lady has threatened my daughter on more then one occasion, in a very unprofessional manner, with termination if my daughter did not make herself available during school hours. My daughter decided to put in her notice because she felt so uncomfortable around Erin and felt it would just be better to find a job that would be able to work with the fact that she was still in high school. A last day was agreed upon between my daughter and the owner, Tammy. Then after being scheduled off for 3 consecutive shifts, my daughter called Acacia Villas to get the current weeks schedule and was informed by Erin, that she no longer worked there. My daughter was in some what of a shock and asked Erin, «what», «since when» and then was hung up on by Erin without any explanation given. I understand that they are a business and may need caregivers with more flexible availability, but if that is the case then they should not have hired her to begin with. I don’t think that they should expect a high school student with no previous care giving experience to be their primary caregiver on all shifts that she works; as well as expect her to be their primary care giver for coverage on call outs. I think Erin is a horrible manager and hopefully will be replaced very soon. If she is able to treat employees in such an unethical manner, I am sure she doesnt have any higher regard towards the residents of Acacia Villas.

This is the sister community to Cambridge Court Assisted Living in Fullerton. This location has smaller apartments than Cambridge Court, but wayyyy more common areas.
Same pricing between the 2 communities. It really depends if you plan to spend more time in your apartment, or in the common area.
Studio apartments range from $ 2,000-$ 2,400, depending on the location within the community.
This includes the important amenities:
meals
transportation
housekeeping
laundry
activities
outings
I think it’s pricey for what you get… but maybe it’s because of the area. It’s a family owned business; they acquired it 7 years ago.
I’ve checked out a number of communities. I liked this one, the Director seemed really nice and sincere,… but it’s just too small in my opinion.
