I would highly recommend A Journey with Wings!
Jaime treated my deceased father, my family and me with the upmost respect and dignity during such a difficult time.
When my father passed away in August 2015, I was recommended to A Journey with Wings by the mortuary. Jaime of A Journey with Wings worked diligently to to arrange all necessary items (including working with the mortuary for paperwork etc.) so that she could scatter my father’s ashes after the memorial service, which was in December of 2015. She flew over Malibu and contacted us before the flight so that we could ensure that my family was prepared to watch the scattering together. After the service she sent me all the paperwork, as well as photographs her photographer had taken during the flight and a certificate of commemoration.
Jaime went above and beyond — I can not thank her enough for providing this service for my family in such as professional and respectful way.
I would recommend her service to anyone who would like to scatter loved ones ashes.

My dad always wanted to be bowing in the wind… rode a motorcycle his entire life. At 85 when he passed I found «A Journey with Wings» and it was a blessing!
It was the best experience and I felt it was exactly what my dad wanted to be scattered over Saddleback Mountain which was one of his favorite rides to Cooks Corner. Wind therapy he use to say!

A journey with wings… What a beautiful name for a business… At the same time an amazing journey that God gave us to experience. My mom clipped an article in the paper years back, my dad found the article and thought she clipped it for a reason, so I called «a journey with wings» Jamie answered the phone, she spent a lot of time with me planning this event, coordinating with our huge family. Mom loved the mountains, that is where she lived, so we spread her ashes over Mt. San Jacinto mountains. We flew over the house in Idyllwild so the family could see us, then off to have the honor and privilege of sending mom back home, over her mountains! Still gives me chills…
Jamie was always professional, kind and very patient with us, Chris was our pilot, he was also very kind, compassionate and made our flight very comfortable, he explained everything to us as we were doing it!
The whole idea of spreading ashes was a wonderful experience, I would truly give Jamie and her team five stars if not more! I don’t want to say I would do this again because I don’t want to… If you know what I mean… But we all know we have to say goodbye when it is our time… So with that said, I would call jamie again in a heartbeat if that was the request!

A JOURNEY WITH WINGS
This review is long overdue. It has been almost seven months since the death of my beloved husband David. All I can say is that mourning is exhausting and extremely painful. I can now breath, think and compose a coherent sentence
Choosing ways to say goodbye are precarious at best. We hit the jackpot with A Journey with Wings. My Husband’s Memorial was beautiful and having the Ash Release was such a dignified and memorable experience.
All you could hear was a collective «Ahh Beautiful» from all the loved ones as they witnessed the ashes fall from the plane into the sea off the cliffs of the California coast line at precisely sunset.
The owner Jaime makes everything so easy. She is compassionate and professional. My money was well spent and I give them 5 stars.

I would highly recommend A Journey With Wings to anyone wanting a wonderful experience in sending off a loved one!
Jamie is very professional and caring thru the process. Watching my dad being scattered off the coast of Dana Point at sunset was exactly what I needed to be at peace with his passing.

We called several aerial cremation remains scattering services, and during our first call, it was obvious that the folks at Tanabe Flying Services were ready to do everything they could to scatter my husband’s ashes in our chosen location at our chosen time.
We chose a section of beach in Santa Monica where my husband started his run for many years. It’s also the beach where we watched the waves together, and where we brought the children and grandchildren.
We wanted to stand on «John’s» beach to watch his ashes scattered, and that’s what happened. We had 11 family members on the beach, and we recognized the plane by the flight behavior described by pilot Jamie. The plane had our full attention for about 6 minutes until it moved into position and scattered the ashes. The warm, sunny day was wonderful, the plane was outlined against blue sky, and we could see the trail of ashes. We could actually see John’s ashes being scattered over Santa Monica Bay, directly out from «John’s» beach.
After the ashes had been scattered, we gathered on the beach for a few words together, then waded into the water to scatter rose petals. It was a perfect family memorial service.
After landing at her local airport, Jamie even called to confirm that we had seen everything. Excellent service by a caring company.

The owner and pilot of A Journey with Wings was professional and a person of integrity. Losing a loved one is difficult, but Jamie made honoring our Aunt a special event to remember. Her experience handling the details from beginning to end was a service I would use again. Her patience with planning and compassion for our family was much appreciated at a time like this.
