My beloved ’97 Crown Victoria has been with me for so long and is at 180,000 miles. Yes, you could say I’m quite attached to «Vickie» even though she sticks out like a sore thumb and gets horrible gas mileage. She is mine and will continue to be mine until she actually bursts into flames. Or that lotto «retirement plan» comes through. Whatever comes first.
One night, she decided to get loud breaking a part off the muffler and exhaust. *insert hilarious story of thinking a car turned into a loud motorcycle here* I assumed it was a piece because of the simple «ching» that I heard before the booming of God’s own voice came from «Vickie» but wasn’t 100% sure. (Horrible car owner of the day award goes to me.) Jason from Midas got me in the same day whereas most places were quoting me 3 – 5 days. They told me «Vickie’s» exhaust needed cutting and welding… While I waited 45 minutes she was restored to all her beauty and exhaust deserved. For less than $ 200, «Vickie» was fixed! Yay! The guys in the shop were super nice as well and didn’t make me feel out of place or uncomfortable. I’d recommend them for their speed, accuracy and prices! I’ll also be going here for my next crisis unless it really does involve «Vickie» bursting into flames.
